UA-cam detecting in New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland and Pa., (you know who they are) the only place I see poison Ivy is Western Pa. I know that Is because you in Pa almost of necessity dig in the "woods". And I know from experience that poison ivy runs rampant in Western Pa. Drawing a different comparison, it is my belief that the Pa. Relic Hunters as a group, has dug more deucers than everyone else combined. Looking forward to next week!
Thanks Granddad, I have been fortunate enough not to catch poison ivy with all the woods hunting we've been doing this year. With all the videos I watch, I don't see many 2 centers being found. I guess we are lucky here
I like Jerry's choice in trucks 👍I've found here in Indiana, the downslopes off of cellar holes produce many signals! Congrats to Saun on the 2 cent piece 🥳Nice spots, hunts, and finds, guys!
Nice finds, the 2 center is awesome and that crotal bell is a nice find. Way to go locating that privy too bad there wasn’t more down there for your efforts but that whiskey is a cool find.
Love those 2 cent coins! Pretty rare find, they don't come up that often. Ive never dug a privy but there is usually some pretty cool stuff that comes out of them. Those suspender buckles are awesome, I have found a few of those, some different styles too but all that same mid 1800s era. Good thing Rich wasn't there to break these ones 🤣 There's silver there somewhere Jerry! Wicked happy hunting 👊
Digging the extra few feet, walking that extra mile or taking that extra time to research. This is how you make the best discoveries!! Unfortunately, sometimes you put in lots of work with little reward. But, if you didn't you would never know!! Great video guys!!
Que es entretenido y fascinante este hermoso hobby, uno no sabe conque sorpresas se puede encontrár, saludos cordiales desde chile para usted compañero 🙋♂️🇨🇱👍🤝👏💍🗝️⛏️🙏😊😊
¡Hola, otra vez, talcadetector! ¡Bien benidos! Los Amigos tienen muchas sorpresas. ¿Son divertidos para ver, no? (Correcto o no. No se. Hacian muchos años.) 😅😊😂
What a fun day ‼️ Congratulations on your coins, relics and the bottle. Shawn.. Did you know that the 2cent coin is the first US Minted coin with “in God We Trust” on it? I love watching you guys dig together and your friendships. Looking forward to hunting with y’all again soon. I’ll be back at Charley’s last few days of August. Another fun & interesting video guys 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow a two center!!!!! Great finds, pile of relics! Always love watching you guys dig up history. Another great episode! Good luck on the next adventure!
@@PARelicHunters We have not, like many other detectorists it’s a bucket lister! Mason did get one as a gift for his birthday day from his uncle though….. so he knew what it was instantly in your video. Keep making that great content cause we love it!
Jerry you look sleepy. Finding a location is a hard job, but it sure does pay off in the long run. Great tip with the bottles. Poop water I love it. Great video.
Love those 2 cent coins, they always seem to come out of the ground in good condition. Seemed like a very promising spot on that hillside, more to be found there, I'm sure. Great hunt guys, good luck on your next one 👍
Great Hunt Jerry and Sean. Love the Bottles Jerry. Also Love the Devotion digging that massive hole to find them. Congrats on the IHP. Was the one Relic a possible Slingshot. Sean you guys and that 2 Cent Coin Congrats. One day I'll find one of those infamous Coins. Love the Putter Handle very ornate. Congrats on the Buttons, Cordal Bell, and the Copper Ring. Just found a couple of those rings on my last hunt. Take Care
Thanks, yes it's alot of digging not knowing if there's anything at the bottom of the hole or not. We hope you find yourself a 2 center one day, they are not easy to find. Take care and Keep Swinging my friend
Love your videos! I was disappointed though to hear in this video that you all recycle some things like buckles you already have similar shape or don’t believe it to be historically significant. If it was just slag or something I get it, And I also get you can’t keep it all-or you’ll end up a hoarder lol. But recognizable things like buckles and buttons or whatever you should instead consider selling on Etsy or a similar site to people (like myself lol) who would appreciate owning a piece of history-this way you still make $ but you preserve the piece. I also metal detect, but rarely have time as a single working mom, and I collect antiques including smalls. I’ve ordered as far away as from mudlarkers in Europe-many times they sell lots of 10-15 small finds because they can ship together, command a group price, it’s worth it. Just food for thought.
Thats an interesting thought. I have tossed some because of finding so many, depending on condition, but I like to keep everything I possibly can to preserve the history. I have a box full of D buckles and things I just don't display in my big case or small ryker cases. 👍 Wicked happy hunting!
It's mostly me that decided to recycle the repeat finds. I'm not sure anyone else does. I recycle it for silver coins. But I am definitely going to look into what you suggested. The items would get a second life that way! Thanks for the advice!

Nice finds! As a viewer, though, it'd be great to get on-screen text of what you've found. Either, at the time you clean it, or at the end in a 'clean up video' with everything. Would really be interested in the dates you found on the coins and what the embossing was on that bottle.
I really really wanna go with all yall some time soon .. Finally got all my gear bought and together and ended up getting " the legend " .. I live in Cranberry Township, PA
Hey Bud, as you know, Shawn swings the Legend and is very good with it. We will have a big announcement in a future video. Try to learn the Legend the best you can first. We haven't been doing as much detecting lately because of the heat and really dry ground. We like to detect yards but don't want to kill people's grass. We do alot of research on old maps looking for home sites in the woods, and the fall is the best time for that. Do you have an email to contact you?
Amazing what’s been lost through time at just about any location. Some really nice finds. Really something how the water and temperature effect the bottles. Wondering if you guys run into rattlers on occasion. Here on my property in southern Maryland I come across Copperheads now and then.
Thank you, we have been lucky not to encounter any snakes while out in the woods. Shawn did see a bear run out of the woods when he stopped to look for an old home site.
I hate when you dig a privy and you're into the water table. Or heavy rain saturated the ground after looking at the car down hill you're above the water table. That darn clay holds the water around forever. You leave them to dry once open if you think nobody will come snipe your dig. Do they call those boot strap or a strap side whiskey bottles? Guys would tuck them in their boots
It's happened a couple times to us, we don't dig many to begin with. I'm not sure what they call those whiskey bottles 🤔. Thanks for watching and for the comment
I don't believe ANY detector has a recovery speed fast enough to work for how fast the one guy here swings the detector. That and not keeping the coil parallel to the ground... Great research but I expect you're leaving good finds behind. Just suggesting.
Must be Saturday! Let's save some history!
Thanks Chris,
You guys make my weekend..Thanks.
Thanks Melissa, that means a lot to us.
Fun times with friends. Happy Hunting.. Peace
Thanks Danny 👍

Fun hunt guys! Mason jars had patent dates on them so 1858 is the patent year. Congratulations on the 2 center!
Thanks for the info on the Mason jars, Deej
Fantastic video, guys! Great finds and the woods are simply glorious in western PA. Some of the prettiest places on earth. Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks Carol, yes they are, and we're trying to add more footage of the scenery during our woods hunts.
Great video fellas looked like alot of fun

@@PARelicHunters definitely a tough one to get! I can see it being rewarding but also a pain to dig 5 ft down 😆

I wish we found more of them here. Rich was in New Hampshire a few weeks ago and found a Massachusetts state copper.

Is your button a two piece vent button with that little hole. Maybe you can find the rest of it.
I'm not sure, we always end up going back to the sites to see what else we can find
Jerrys find maybe an old spur, for a boot?
Yes, we were thinking that also
Is that iron part of a spur?
Thanks Shawn, someone else had mentioned the same thing.
Was that "Y" shaped piece possibly a part of an early spur?
Yes, I believe it was. Thanks 👍
Just be careful with your steps lol
Thanks, we will
Could that have been a part of an old stirrup?
