I am SO happy you reacted to the live version of this song! The video is fantastic as well, with beautiful visuals, but this live performance is stunning.
Beautiful words at the end from you, 😢, you are so correct!
We are all emotional when we hear this song!
    Thank you Gio! ❤️

David Draiman...a voice to die for. A powerful yet soulful voice that can go from warm baritone to angelic tenor, from clear as a crystal to vocal fry/rasp/distortion and back on a dime. He has a timbre in his voice that I've never heard before.....just hauntingly beautiful tonal properties to it! An awesome talent. Loved your reaction Gio!

This song calls me back constantly. When I first heard it, I thought " WHAT have I just heard ? ". In.my opinion, it is a masterpiece. With Mr Draiman 's rich, velvety voice, gradually building up to a crescendo of rage and despair with the help of the orchestrals. I cried like a baby, and often still do on hearing it again. Bless you for the music, David. 💕 💕

This was written by Paul Simon. Performed by him and Art Garfunkel in 1963. This cover IMHO is by far the best cover. The live version is absolutely fabulous. David the lead vocalist of Disturbed has such a unique voice and it really fits this song to a tee! Great reaction!

There is a physical transfer of emotion at times that goes beyond the act of hearing sounds at times. It's what binds us together. We can feel what others are feeling, in our own way but a physical manifestation certainly occurs. A beautiful song, a baby's cry, a hurt dog. We can hear and feel something. The connections are strong.

I love your analysis - amidst the many adjectives you gave that are so very appropriate to this version, the best: prophetic. Thank you.

It was great to see those strong Viking genes react to this extraordinary rendition. Real music and artistry transcend time and culture like nothing we humans have ever produced

Thank you! I really love what you have to say about making a better planet. This is my favorite version and I love Disturbed. But so you know, they are a heavy metal band with some very different songs, very disturbing songs, 😂For another version, you should check out Pentatonix. Not only will you see another amazing performance but it will bring hundreds of Pentaholic’s to your channel.

You commented that it sounded almost Biblical. I think it goes back farther than that. It's almost primal at times, especially the timpani in the last two verses. I reckon drums were probably the first things humans, or even proto-humans came up with and the overriding power here suggests something older than humanity itself. Something that connects with the fundamental elements of consciousness. Great reaction!

So what? Not everyone knows who writes every song they love. He might love the Simon and Garfunkel version and not be aware Paul Simon wrote it. Cut him some slack.
