just got my first e-ink tablet, the boox go 10.3, and i wanted to make a video going into the details about why i chose to get this device, what i’m using it for, and a quick demo!

Thanks for a good review. I would be grateful if you can share the actual screen dimensions of go 10.3 (not the whole device just the screen). So that I can have a concrete idea of the screen real-estate before making the decision since I have to use it for acdemic study. I searched over the web and there is not even a shred of information regarding this.
Interesting product and useful video.
I have the Boox Note Air 3 monochrome model. I never use the front light. It is more comfortable on the eyes, with a table light in the room. This is superb for reading out in the sunlight; iPad is not!

What is the launcher you are using? Niagra? I have never found the right settings for a launcher in the e-ink center, are you using A2 mode and what are your other settings in e-ink centre? It looks great!

Is there real time zoom in PDF format? Is the zoom transition smooth or choppy?
I once tried to read berserk on a e reader but some cover pages are cant be shown with only 16 shades of gray, i dont know how or where you can increase it to 256 or if some models have it already like that. Can you test if this has 16 or 256?

I am in particular interested to hear, if the original Onyx app for reading and annotating PDFs does save the edited annotations in the same original PDF file? Is this the case? Or do they create a new file. People therefore recommend XODO, an Android PDF app for that case. But I think from third party apps Onyx just added pen zero latency support for OneNote.
Hmmm, I'm not quite sure. My current setup uses Syncthing to sync my PDFs between my Boox and laptop, and I use NeoReader to edit the PDFs. The annotations are saved in the file and are viewable on my laptop. I haven't explored the workflow much more than that.
Do you know if it has the option to show half/a quarter of the screen for academic papers, like the Note Air 3? Also, how would you say the battery is doing by now?

Ahhh subcribed as you said that about orange-green not appealing (I don't think it is, too).
Second that! I always thought it looks kind of cheap compared to the cleaner white minimalist look of other devices (Supernote, reMarkable, even with the silver stripe on the edge). Boox Go 10.3 seems much more appealing to the eye :)

No front of back lights? I'm definitely not interested.
They removed the front light because the e-ink is whiter that way. One less layer. If you want a front light, you could look into a Onyx Air 3 or Air 3C (colors).
That’s the reason I stopped buying paper.
Nice review ... as a personal impression, you should cut your hair. Either really short or at least a “more defined” hairstyle. ^^
