Our skunks and raccoons eat together mostly peacefully every night. Recording them is my favorite thing.

Correction, thats a Western hog nosed skunk. Though the striped skunk is far more common.

Raccoons can be pretty aggressive but more often than not they won't be aggressive even with other animals if there's food. I see it happen all the time. you saw how the the raccoon skipped by the skunk to get inside that little igloo. it didn't want anything to do with the skunk it just wanted whatever was in the igloo. A truly aggressive or scared animal doesn't turn their back on the other animal but in this video you saw both of them turn their backs to each other at one point

@@glennwhite1841 idk but I've googled skunks and have seen some w a lot of white back when I did..
@@glennwhite1841 from what i know, even Striped Skunks can be mostly white or mostly black but that is quite uncommon if not rare, but it could also be a hognosed skunk though i'm not sure what colorings they most commonly have but of them are striped.
Ill take Brown snakes under my deck rather than Skunks any day .

Raccoons are vicious if you get too close to them and chase you for a while. Skunks don't really give a crap. They just waddle around like nothing is happening, get too close and you'll get sprayed of course.. Deer stare at you. Opossums freak out when you get close and growl.

@@editrx Being a manager doesn't stop you from asking for other managers, and having a Masters doesn't automatically make you immune to Karenism. Not that I'm assuming the person in the video is a Karen, I'm just pointing out your logical fallacies so that your argumentation may improve in the future. Also, less constructive criticism and more personal opinion on my end but, snapping back at someone who apologized in advance for their joke, and was clearly only trying to be funny and not maliciously trying to be hurtful, with a smart-ass comeback is kind of in poor taste. @@tailsfoxboy Sadly you don’t know what a logical fallacy is and appear to be an undergraduate student or high school student who’s clearly male and has an aching need to sound educated (big words, you know them but don’t know how to put them in context without sounding like a term paper I would give a C to) and to mansplain everything.
Also a huge need to spend his time on UA-cam of all places, commenting on videos that are years old and have nothing to do with your comments.

Not judging but why does this person have a pet skunk living in its own skunk house?
Dunno where you live, but here while not common, pet skunks are definitely a thing and you can get them, well, maybe not cheap, but at a price that makes most people capable of getting one.
The DOG igloo is outside for cats. I don’t know where you live, but skunk houses aren’t a real thing unless you’re pampered and come from the city and are pretty ignorant.
