You also have NLBA tool. Its a nice tool to play with laptop batteries. Iam planning to buy a raspberry pi to read modern batteries. NLBA,UBRT, REGEDIT .TBP all are expensive for me. I always stick to less expensive ways. So other people can also do it. VERY THANK YOU FOR WATCHING MY VIDEOS.

im really behind on this whole process, i can´t manage to windows detect fx2lp board under de name of smbusinterface, any help? it shows "unknown device" under theh llibusbkdrivers on device manager

Good afternoon Such a question, the battery on the laptop stopped holding, the laptop turned off after a minute. I decided to disassemble the battery, the battery is based on bq8030+bq29330 chips. Connected via Arduino nano to the battery. I took the battery readings, unfortunately I did not save the output from the sketch. Next, using the video, I installed the sketch, launched the gui - it reads everything. Next, based on your video, I tried to change the battery access mode. This is register 00. At first it was 0x08. After manipulations from the video, 0x1717 was written there and the data is not read from the battery quite correctly.
SmartBatteryHack basically reads the registers, but the incorrect battery temperature is displayed and the rest of the data is a little crooked.
Do u have any other arduino codes to read the battery eeprom data? U r stuck in bootmode,

I have reset one battery successfully (LNV-45N103), with the second battery (LNV-45N1177) I have a problem, the fuse is ok but I don't have battery voltage + on the pin. I noticed some difference:
battery unlocked successfully has the reading: Battery Status: 00c0
and the battery that doesn't work has: Battery Status: 03d0
I will add that in the second battery I had to connect the + voltage from the 12V battery (+) because I could not connect smbusb_scan and smbusb_sbsreport, (I did not use an external power supply, only 12v from 18650 cells)
Does this battery status matter? maybe it's a blocked battery? how to unlock it?

@@reuterric I tried with Cp2112 , successfully unlocked and reset one battery. But due to the fuse problem. Battery didnt give output. So make sure fuse is working, And where are you from? Search for dji mavi killer software with cp2112. You can find some tools, its actually for drone battery, but useful for laptop battery also. In my country cp2112 is expensive for me. So i tried with my friend in turkey. Other tools i dont know the condition. So i cannot guarantee you. Do it your own risk. Or EV2300 can do it. But costly hardware. But cp2112 is promising the unlock and reset. Give a try. I can provide you the related videos link

I don't have that much knowledge. But I tried so many Arduino codes to do this. but it is not working. Unlocking code for bq9003 is available with User Interface. Watch my other videos. May be there is code out there. No idea. Now am stuck in between cp2112 and raspberry pi. There is a free software available for Raspberry Pi and cp2112. If you know any code share me.

@@AnandakrishnaSudhakaran so the thing is i have a macbook and the battery was dead since one of the cell got dead and the total battery voltage was just 7.5 volts. I removed the specific cell and then changed that cells with the exact same cell from another dead battery. Now the voltage is 11.7 volts but the battery does not charge when connected to the macbook.
Is there anyway you can help or guide me?

@@AnandakrishnaSudhakaran unfortunately i don't have cp2112 . Also this bms is in a laptop battery not a drone battery . And it is so sad my laptop battery didn't work even a full 2 years but i can power a big motor for hours without dropping too much voltage it's still giving 10.5 out of 10.8 ( 3 battery cells) even after 1 year removed from my laptop . Any way did you know what else i can do to fix this battery
@@user-sr3xg6wg5w Dji battery killer software support bq30z55, i worked with that software on one of the laptop battery from msi laptop. Anyway which hardware do you have to connect to the pc and laptop battery? Fx2lp board does not support bq30z55 because the algorithm for the unlock is different. You need a 128bit key with sha 1 method to unlock bq30z55. Bq30z55 is widely used in many BMS boards. So dji battery killer is a free software and can be used to do almost anything with that software. Laptop or drone, our aim is to reset bq30z55 and reuse again. So cp2112 is the cheap option for this. Or need ev2300 or ev2400. Feel free to ask me any doubt.

Did you know if DJI killer software support any other adaptor except cp2112 like the CH341A USB to I2C/IIC/SPI/UART/TTL/ISP Serial adapter (EPP/MEM) this device it's looking great but I don't have find yet any driver or program that I can use it . Anyway if you do know any other adaptor that is working with the dji program it would help me a lot ... Thanks again you're doing amazing job !!!
@@user-sr3xg6wg5w dji battery killer support only cp2112. Lpt to i2c software are available but you can only read the data. For other functions we need to buy the software. Do you have an arduino uno board? We can do some basic steps, like read status registers and do some unlock procedures. If you are lucky. You can unlock the battery with default keys, to read and write commands there is a free arduino code gui available. I have already done a video. My new video is still pending. It is unlocking bq4050. I will add your chip details. Just to try with arduino and if it works you can recover your battery. And from your writings I understand that your battery gives output, but if you put it in the laptop it will not last. This is due to the safety features like cycle count threshold, PF flags, Full charge capacity and some other flags. So what I am suggesting is to get an arduino UNO board if it is cheap there. Cp2112 is actually cheaper outside India. So if you are outside india buy cp2112. Just a suggestion. With ch341, no one actually did the magic. Am sorry I also don't have that board. Right now I am developing free software to read and write rom, clear errors, etc.
Final thoughts get arduino uno and read data and understand the condition of your battery.

I cant tell without knowing the chip number. With fx2lp you can read any chip. But dealing with the unlock keys difficult for other chip. Do you have any other board like arduino, or cp2112 or fx2lp? Which one you have?
