We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
I have a flip5 and a charge 5 , I would recommend them both because they sound awesome and you can partyboost them together. I would buy a charge 5 for only like 15 dollars more than a flip6 , the charge is louder has more bass and a bigger battery
Got the Flip 6 for a month now. I can say that compared to the Marshall Emberton the sound is way better. I was a big fan of the Bose Soundlink Mini 1, which IMO has the best sound period. People say there's too much bass but I disagree. Anyway, the Flip 6 used as a single speaker could match my Bose (although I had to get used to less bass or rather used the JBL app's equalizer to turn up the bass). What really convinced me, though, was using two JBL Flip 6 in PartyBoost Stereo Mode. Best sound experience from a small bluetooth speaker ever! BUT (!) why the F**k is it not possible to pair two JBL Flip 6 in PartyBoost Mode when connected to a laptop ??? What the f**k!? I'm in the process of choosing between The UE Megaboom and the JBL Flip. The lack of omnidirectional sound and the ability to suspend the Charge from objects was a deal breaker. My end use is to have two playing in Party mode at a campground of roughly one hundred feet. They will either be suspended by tree branches or Shepherds hooks. Coverage of the space is critical and I end up getting a third speaker to really surround the encampment. Currently I've been using the original Wonder-boom and they fall short on loudness and Bluetooth range. The Wonderbooms literally cut out when someone crosses their path. I also hypothesize that there is a lot of radio interference when we are camped at public events. I hope the newer Bluetooth standard will help mitigate these issues.
I have a co worker that uses one of those UE speakers and it does pretty well and I can easily here it across the shop. His doesn’t cut out unless he walks outside with his phone but any Bluetooth speaker will do that once a wall gets between them or you get out of range.
So because it has no microphone, if I am playing music on my phone through the speaker, and somebody rings my phone, will I know if a call is coming through if I'm not looking at my phone? Thanks!
i use 2 jbl fip 5s as my studio monitors, the tweeters is so hype, but i hope now for a charge 6 that goes full stereo 2 speakers aand a middle tweeter maybe or 2 outer tweeters, the charge always was known as midrangey and this has to be the era where the really make the charge the absolute goat, 2 speakers 2 tweeters that needs to be the charge, and itd be the best studio monitor speaker
Does anyone know if this has a next track / previous track physical button? Would be awesome in the shower or at a party when you can’t be bothered reaching for your phone. Thanks!
Unfortunately this review didn't answer either of my questions. Can you connect two into a stereo pair? Do you have to turn them on at the unit before they will work or does connecting from your device turn them on?
A -> JBL flip 6 + JBL flip6 for party boost mode 😊 two separate ones of the same version, they both are able to connect for that mode. :) I have not gotten mine yet, but I bought the JBL flip6 because of that new feature 🥰 can’t wait to get my second one if the first is not loud enough for my liking 🤣 but doesn’t everyone love a party sound?
I've the JBL Xtreme and while it was 'boomy' (aggressive bass) when I first got it it settled in after many hours of play. I'm interested in your comments as to whether you've noticed this with Bluetooth speakers. I know audiophiles talk about it being true for high-end speakers.
Found a Flip 5 that just needed the charge port changed.... long story short I tried doing it myself but didn't work lol.... So been wanting one of these every since one had a altec lansing one much smaller and that lil thing sounded really good hate I sold it... but yeah just ordered one of these today that I plan to use mostly at work when I'm Painting Rooms etc as I like wearing headphones but have a hard time hearing of they call me on the radio so this will be perfect cause I watch lots of videos and movies vs music with the speaker 🔊 will make watching movies while Painting a room much better and perfect for music in my apartment... depending how much I like it I'll definitely get the Charge 5 or Xtreme3 next
The only difference flip 5vs6 is the tweeter...no difference if you play bass music...tweeter is for high frequencies music...it's just slightly clearer but not much diff ...the loudness is the same....
So I’m opening up a small meditation studio/20 people and I asked a couple other electronic/speaker influencers on here and they said to buy 4 JBL Flip 6’s for best surround sound.. 🤔 I would greatly I appreciate your advice and feedback on which speakers would be the best for this! 🙏💕 Thank you!!!
I have a fire tv. When i try to connect to tv audio, the flip 6 works on amazoin and nexflix, but wont transfer when the over the air channels are used.
I'll stick with the flip 5 it sounds good to me. By the way, I found that if you update the speaker in the app it sounds terrible. So I had to get a new one and forget the app, but maybe that's just me.
Did you actually test the battery life? Cuz it's not near 12 hours...I hate reviews that only read the description on the back and don't actually test the product
I bought the flip 6 played one bass song and now it rattles the bass and clearness of it is good but it’s not worth your money when you could get something like a sound core rave bro for cheaper and more
I am so tempted to buy the Flip 6, but still waiting for to be release in the Philippines. Though does the circumference fit well in a water bottle holder? I will be using that speakers on my bicycle
The minimum volume is still too high and if i go further down it just drops to zero. Feels like it goes from 10% of volume to 0% in just one click. How can i solve this and get more intermediate controls, like 5% or 2 % volume? Thank you
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! I have a co worker that uses one of those UE speakers and it does pretty well and I can easily here it across the shop. His doesn’t cut out unless he walks outside with his phone but any Bluetooth speaker will do that once a wall gets between them or you get out of range.
I would not rate the JBL Charge, Flip, or Extreme models standing vertically, due to the end mounted bass ports.
I own both flip 5 and flip 6 both are great speakers
Can you compare it with Huawei Sound Joy, Bluetooth 5.2, Onehop Sharing, Devialet sound tuning, 8800 mAh, USB C, Spruce Green ?
So because it has no microphone, if I am playing music on my phone through the speaker, and somebody rings my phone, will I know if a call is coming through if I'm not looking at my phone? Thanks!
Beautiful review ❤️
How does it sound when connected with TV?
It has the perfect Size for a Outdoor BT Speaker.
i use 2 jbl fip 5s as my studio monitors, the tweeters is so hype, but i hope now for a charge 6 that goes full stereo 2 speakers aand a middle tweeter maybe or 2 outer tweeters, the charge always was known as midrangey and this has to be the era where the really make the charge the absolute goat, 2 speakers 2 tweeters that needs to be the charge, and itd be the best studio monitor speaker
I’m tempted and ordered one
Excelente vídeo 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Had no idea there was an app for the grey flip 6 thanks so much!!
Thanks for the review man I am going to buy this one and came to have a watch reviews
Can you please review the bang & olufsen beosound explore. Seems like a very well built speaker but just not sure on the sound quality
Does anyone know if this has a next track / previous track physical button?
Would be awesome in the shower or at a party when you can’t be bothered reaching for your phone.
Thanks!
Double press pause to go forward. Triple press to go to the beginning of the song then triple press again to go to the previous song
@@TR4SHPAND4 Awesome, thanks for that... very useful info!! Cheers

So been wanting one of these every since one had a altec lansing one much smaller and that lil thing sounded really good hate I sold it... but yeah just ordered one of these today that I plan to use mostly at work when I'm Painting Rooms etc as I like wearing headphones but have a hard time hearing of they call me on the radio so this will be perfect cause I watch lots of videos and movies vs music with the speaker 🔊 will make watching movies while
Painting a room much better and perfect for music in my apartment... depending how much I like it I'll definitely get the Charge 5 or Xtreme3 next
Can you play your phone through the USB-C cable? Put it in another way, does it have DAC? Great review!
Bluetooth is digital, sound is analog, so every Bluetooth speaker has DAC?

How app is that can the flip 5 get the app
Hi. How can i connect karaoke microphone to my jbl flip 6 is there any options please let me know. Thank
Does any other speaker on the market this size sound better?
great video. ty
Great review!!! Thanks
allthough the flip 6 looks astonishing, im gonna stick with my flip 5
The only difference flip 5vs6 is the tweeter...no difference if you play bass music...tweeter is for high frequencies music...it's just slightly clearer but not much diff
...the loudness is the same....
@Shawn S i have both too, and they are awesome
So I’m opening up a small meditation studio/20 people and I asked a couple other electronic/speaker influencers on here and they said to buy 4 JBL Flip 6’s for best surround sound.. 🤔 I would greatly I appreciate your advice and feedback on which speakers would be the best for this! 🙏💕 Thank you!!!
What about the effect for watching movies?
Can you please compare Flip 6 with Tribit stormbox which one has more bass effect for watching movies?
I am waiting for the boombox 3 and maybe even the Extreme 4...
I have a fire tv. When i try to connect to tv audio, the flip 6 works on amazoin and nexflix, but wont transfer when the over the air channels are used.
Just got one of these at a pawn shop for $65.00 in original box with original charger in like New condition !
When will jbl launch flip 7 any idea???
Those were some good songs for the test 😁
How much the price?
Can we connect jbl flip 4 & jbl flip 6 at a same time for stereo performance? Is it compatible?
No
@@bluetoothbasstester thankyou
Lots of us would like to know where the products you test are manufactured.
I'll stick with the flip 5 it sounds good to me. By the way, I found that if you update the speaker in the app it sounds terrible. So I had to get a new one and forget the app, but maybe that's just me.
Yes, don't use the app
Did you actually test the battery life? Cuz it's not near 12 hours...I hate reviews that only read the description on the back and don't actually test the product
I bought the flip 6 played one bass song and now it rattles the bass and clearness of it is good but it’s not worth your money when you could get something like a sound core rave bro for cheaper and more
Flip 6 is dust-proof. Both are loud. Flip 6 speaker is slanted when standing up.
I have number 4 is it worth to upgrade?
Yes
Had this problem with the flip 4 and just got the flip 6. What's with that damn hissing sound can it be turned off?
My dream speaker...
the charge 5 works with the app i have used it since i got it
What's the app called for flip 6
Please recommend me better bass and sound quality
Thank you
That is what I wanted to see
Thank you
So how is the battery life in real-life at moderate volume?
Pretty good
I am so tempted to buy the Flip 6, but still waiting for to be release in the Philippines. Though does the circumference fit well in a water bottle holder? I will be using that speakers on my bicycle
Yes it fits on the bike perfectly
The minimum volume is still too high and if i go further down it just drops to zero. Feels like it goes from 10% of volume to 0% in just one click. How can i solve this and get more intermediate controls, like 5% or 2 % volume? Thank you
When your testing speakers like this that have a speaker either side you need to lay it flat to get a real honest test ☝️👏
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! All of our testing is done in a controlled environment (all speakers laid horizontal, same distance from testing kit etc) to ensure they are fair and and as accurate as possible. The footage you see in the video is just shots we got for the purpose of the video and not taken during the tests. We’ll make sure to include behind the scenes shots of testing in the future 👍🏻
When you’re typing a comment you should learn how to spell.
@@slipswitch Ironically, the grammar in your comment is p*ss poor.
Can this speaker be connected via cable with a TV for example, or is bluetooth only way of connecting it?
