Vegetarian here. I accidentally ate meat once (the worst part: it was pork) after years of not eating. It was PAINFUL. My diggestive system rebelled and went on strike. It was a weekend full of pain.
That sounds bad! Being a long time vegetarian would help your gut grow certain bacteria and not those that deal with meat products. I hope it didn't have longer term negative effects.
20:45 anyone who goes "im depressed" or "im suicidal" because you reject their advances, stop talking to them or anything similar to that is either lying or aren't worth a second look. If they do follow through with their threat, its not on you and honestly, good riddence
honestly for me if anyone touches my food whether or not if its a dessert I will fucking hurt someone/hj Especially if I haven't eaten all day or if it was my favorite food, ffs
Story 3: 10 weeks is a little under 2 1/2 months. That's not that long depending on how long it takes someone to get trained up and up to speed with everything there.
Counterpoint the wife was recruited so she was basically recognized for being able to do whatever she does efficiently and effectively most likely they put her in a similar role to her last role so training would be minimal at best like a month max. So they would have a whole month and a half to adjust and considering that is a decent amount of time. If shes there at least 8 hours a day, that would be 40 hours a week, 160 hours per month give or take so yeah about of 160 hours of training is probably enough.
18:10 whether the job is worth it or not would depend on whether her 2 hour commute, babysitter/housekeeper salaries, and increase in stress everyday could match the bump in salary.
What is the point of earning more money if you have to turn around and give that to a nanny/maid? i think op is right bout his wife's new job being a detriment to their relationship.
Story 2: yup, that is true that if you go vegetarian or vegan for extended periods you will mess up your gut bacteria. If you then try to go back to eating normal food you will get pretty raging G.I. issues until the bacteria recolonizes your intestines and your body balances itself back out.
The wife doesn't realize just how big of a monkeywrench she threw into the household. She doesn't realize how stressed she is, how stressed she is making her husband, or how much money she is wasting in gas per week. I can tell you from experience that she has to fill up no less than once every 4 days. At $3/gal on a 12 gal tank, that's $36/4 days or $200 in gas per month at LEAST! This bump in pay is in no way worth what she is putting her family through
Screw that. SCREW THAT! Her husband is upset because he’s inconvenienced since she used to do EVERYTHING and now he has to take personal responsibility for his personal responsibilities. Those kids and that home are his, too. He’s bummed out because he can come home from work and sit on the sofa while she does everything with the kids. If this was a story where a husband was working a better-paying job and was late home, abdicating the few home responsibilities he had you would not say that he should give that job up! SCREW HIM AND SCREW YOU, TOO.
@@castielsgranny4308 If this were a husband doing this, all of Reddit would be telling the woman to divorce him because he isn't listening to her. Y'all are two-faced af! If this were a short-term thing, then I could see it, but this is a now permanent change that does more harm than good. She is completely selfish. This isn't about a sandwich and a beer after work. This is putting 100% of the responsibility on someone without consulting them first

I don’t know if I am the jerk for this one but my family just recovered from Covid and it is my week for the kitchen. The only two people in the house who did not have Covid were my two little sisters who got to watch TV all day. I was going through the kitchen putting a pan away when I realized the pan cabinet was servely messed up. I was about to call my little sister who my mom adores because it was her week last week and all she did was watch TV and she left me dishes this morning too plus messy counters. To be fair she does have the IQ of a four year old according to a doctor but she is very good when it comes to chores and putting things away we’re their suppose to. I asked my little sister to come in to show her how to fix it without her actually doing it so that she could do it right next time. A little background info by the way, my parents are always bragging on me and my other little sister that the little sister my moms adore (let’s call her sister A) is so much better than us when it comes to chores. But back to the story and my mom yells at me saying “DONT YOU DARE TALK ABOUT THE KITCHEN FROM LAST WEEK. YOU TALK ABOUT IT AGAIN AND YOU WILL HAVE IT FOR ANOTHER WEEK!” “I AM OFFENDED BY YOU ASKING YOUR LITTLE SISTER WHEN ALL THAT WENT ON LAST WEEK!” So I don’t agrue and fix the entire kitchen up myself. When I was done I go ask my mom to ride my bike to help get some stuff out of my lungs, she looks outside and I realize it’s raining. She says no and the says in her entitled Karen voice “No the only thing you can do is go to your room and think about how oblivious you are to everything going on and asking your little sister to do that” I was honestly confused and angry but thinking to myself “what did I do wrong by asking her to come her to show her how to do it properly?” But I go up to my room. My little sisters are both entitled and act rude but are adored by one of my moms and rarely get in trouble becuase of that. But am I the jerk for asking her to come here and watching how I fix the stuff?
NTA-you're trying to teach your sister an important life skill. You seem to be the only sane one, your mother is overly controlling and your sisters are golden children.
With story three I do think they should give it time but also think it’s not that crazy I drove 1hr commute for work and it’s really not that bad. Also why should the wife be the only one working from home he can see if he’s able to work from home to.
He probably cant work from home and the money spend on petrol isn't worth the bump in money from changing jobs, she made a bad decision and is now not present in her children's lives. Her relationship with her partner is crumbling. The new job wasn't worth it and if it keeps going the way it is she'll be left with kids who resent her and divorced.
Hey so if your story one I am a huge Lego Ninjago fan and one of the bad guys really wants revenge so all I could hear in my head is her revenge revenge will be mine.
not the cupcakes why did this guy eat op's cupcakes, he needs to get his own cupcakes not op's cupcakes, so glad that jerk jerry got what he gets, but so glad that op got justice on his co-worker?
Story 3: Divorce her. You have communicated your issues with your relationship with her multiple times and she refuses to listen. She puts her career above her own children. Take the kids and leave.
You're defening a guy that is one report away from getting fired for STEALING COWORKERS FOOD. Mans deserved to be tortured. At least he has a job still, though he doesn't deserve it.
Story with the wife getting a new job..... totally the jerk. so many families for YEARS had one parent taking care of the children and the home, while the other worked. My own mom worked, and raised 2 kids, while my dad was the major bread winner. Op just refused to accept change, and did not want to do what parents have done since the dawn of time.
I believe Op in the first story is being very childish over some simple cupcakes, and driving a man mad for a month over it? Why didn't they just go buy their own? Jerry sounds like a jerk sure, but Op is being unreasonably petty and childish imo.
Just don't mess with an IT guy, OP had a good reason for the revenge way beyond the cupcakes as Jerry has an attitude problem and had already stolen food from other people.
I don't think it was just the cupcakes. It sounds like no one liked Jerry and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. I'm more concerned these people are medical staff
