This is one of the most useful and informative GoPro videos I’ve ever seen. Really solid tips and advice. Thank you! Now I’m off to clean my GoPro doors right now 😁
Great video. Thanks for the well-laid out instructions. I've only used my GoPro in saltwater once and thought that a quick rinse would do the trick. Now I need to go check all of the secret hiding spots for salt residue. Very helpful.
Since the first video i watched your Chanel , first, I learn so much, about recording video, second , i speak broken English , and I had been learned from you ,,,thank so much for sharing your videos God blessed you
Hey, Mitch maybe a small compressor like an airbrush compressor would be good to get all the water out. Or you can spray down your equipment with alcohol which will displace the water as well as dissolve any particles and then blow-dry.
Thank u 4 this information. Just bought my 1st gopro. Want 2 take some videos while I'm on vacation in Cancun. Under water pics. Just order some of the products u were using on ur video. Didn't know. I do now. Will keep my investment in good working order. Thank u
6:36 I finally found a confirmation that the GoPro's lens has an extra protected layer that's removable. I can't find any lens cover near my area, though.
I don't even own a GoPro but I always enjoyed the content and been subscribed to this channel for years now. Wish you both a great weekend and all the best in life!
Super helpful video thank you! Just tried it out! Mainly needed to clean the inside door of my battery. Unfortunately, the rubbing alcohol didn’t really work much. Any other recommendations of things I could use?
Love all your videos, mate. I don't do much saltwater filming but I never thought the build up would be that great. Thanks, I'll be sure to keep all that in mind.
Thank you for this brilliant video!! You explain everything so well. I ride extra water bottles with me in the car for the 1st rinse when I get out of the water.
Thanks so much for the GoPro cleaning vid bro! I got some mud in the little camera holes. What do you think I should do, rubbing alcohol and a toothpick maybe?
Good information. Ever try distilled water to do a final rinse if your water is that hard? Also distilled vinegar can help dissolve hard water deposits.
Great video. I have several times moisture appearing on my front screen (GoPro9) perhaps is pure condesation inside the machine because I never let the doors open when not in use. thanks for this. Cheers Mic.
Wow you sign so well, I dont even really know sign language but could still roughly understand without subtitles. I really want to learn to sign with my dive buddy so we can better communicate underwater
I didn't realize that Gopro cameras required such care and maitennce.i guess i just had this image of them being so ruggidized that they didn't need any care. this was very informative, thanks Mic!
Would you recommend buying distilled water to finish the rinse? Does lime also build up if you rinse with fresh water? I notice well water leaves lime deposits on everything.
Hey! MicBergsma. I enjoyed your video and also learned how to cleaned my GoPro 9. I wanted to ask you a question about - if Its possible to use WD-40 on my GoPro9.
Super, thanks.👍 I have the same storage box for accessories from IKEA. 👍😁. Plus I would add rinsing rubber sealant and back door from underwater case by fresh water👍
is there not a lkight cleaner that would work against salt water even after rinsing thoroughly like you do. hopefully youve found a solution that works for ya.
WOW! when I opened this video I knew it's an important 1 for me, but I didn't think I'll learn so much things, I thought that white stain on one of my doors is the upcoming end of my GoPro!! lol... I'll clean it later today when I get home, now I know I don't wash my things good enough... I'm still worried that some of the parts I get from AliExpress aren't good with water though, but I don't want to invest so much money just for let's say an original case... hope it will be good. Thank's a lot!
