Love the new way you present your recipes together with the local stall selling the same dessert. Long live traditional food! and loove the blooper Thanks Helen!
that's such a nice message of trying to support all the hard work the street vendors do for such a small amount of money! The recipe looks great as well - I remember one of my aunts or my mum making this recipe from time to time, and though it's not my favourite chè, it's still super tasty and filling! thank you for the great videos
Helen, you are my Favourite UA-camr. Your gentle message at the end to support the hard working street vendors hit my heart. Bless you woman. Warmest greetings from Toronto! we love you up here...
Thanks for explaining the difference between the two che, Helen. This one looks great with all the ingredients...all that texture and taste makes for a party in our mouths. I love the che troi nuoc you showed. Definitely a yummy winter che. I really wish the vendor would raise the price for what her food is worth since like you said, the other shops are charging 3x as much for sub par ingredients that are most likely processed and fake. So unfair!
Helen, I love your little interviews about peoples life! I love to eat Che Thung, but it is so time-consuming to make so the only times I get to eat it is during Lunar New Year!
Hi Helen, I enjoy watching your videos over the years. I am Cambodian who loves ethnic foods including Vietnamese. I have a question for you: growing up in Cambodia I have developed a sweet tooth for some really good Vietnamese desserts, and there is one particular kind that is called some thing like “Che Bok Phy or Phi” with an ‘i’ sound. I talked to some of my friends from Vietnam and they never heard of it. Yet, I just had some made by a Vietnamese lady here and she understood me and called it the same as I tried to spell it above. It is very similar to what you’re making in this video. The main ingredients are mung beans (no skin), diced taro, tapioca pearls, colorful tapioca strips, dried lotus seeds, dried jujube, shredded seaweed, sugar, pinch of salt and coconut milk. It’s a warm dessert. Could you please investigate to see if it is available in Viêt Nam, and how to properly spell that dessert please? Thanks so much in advance.
A big ❤️ from your big fan ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Helen for sharing this healthy dessert , I should say. But why have to throw all the goodness that went into the water away after boiling the beans. Today I noticed your face shine and your complexion is so smooth, like a peeled hard boiled egg texture ! Keep up your good job, love to see you in Live with the stalls , Are you staying in Vietnam for good ? If I am not wrong, you were in Germany and posted lots of recipes .
hi there helen, can i ask you a favor, if you could help me on a vietnamese recipe. i met a nice vietnamese lady 10 years ago in canbberra , aus, and cooked a very delicious pork leg porridge for me. it as the tastiest porridge i ever tasted. unfortunately i as not able to ask her the recipe before she died. i am asking you if you could share to me the recipe , if you happened to have cook this. thank you,.
Thanks for the video. Its really good. Just one small suggestion when you talk and clap your hands together often creates noise - to me not very professional. Cheers

Oh wow, this looks so delicious! I love hearing the background noises of the busy streets. It feels like I'm there.
Em rất thích đoạn cuối chị so sánh chè VN truyền thống với trà sữa. Video hay lắm chị ạ
I just got back from San Jose, CA and really enjoyed the che from the mall there. I am craving che. Thanks Helen for the great direction and recipe.
Glad that you liked it. Try this recipe at home and let me know about the result ☺️

Helen! Please make a cookbook dedicated solely to Vietnamese desserts!
I love Che and eat it often when I'm in Vietnam. Where in DaNang is this woman's stand located?

Hey. Speak Vietnamese, it’ll be easier to understand you. Thanks.
You can turn on the Vietnamese subtitle. Thank you 😊
Thanks for the video. Its really good. Just one small suggestion when you talk and clap your hands together often creates noise - to me not very professional. Cheers
I love the videos but I much prefer it when you do the voice over in a sound insulated room or so - the street noises are extremely distracting! :)
thanks for the feedback :)
