- Crater was designed to be killer analog / digital hybrid kick drum, the only kick you need to buy. Kraken was designed to be a realistic sounding snare drum module derived from digital synthesis. It excels at making sample-like snare sounds. What if we reversed their roles?

Ah sometimes it's the real obvious simple things that slip through the cracks. So easy to fall into a habit of just taking a module at face value and forget that just a little processing can take you into completely different sonic territory. Running Kraken through a filter to make soften the snare rattle was like 🤯. I don't have that module myself (yet), but this already got me looking at a few modules in my rack differently. Thanks y'all!!!

Hello! Im really enjoying my Kraken, but I was wondering if 2 modifications can be made for next firmware update: 1 is to have no wires/snares at all, since real acoustic snare drums sound really nice without them In real life its difficult to tune them when one listens to its pure tone, but in eurorack its just matter of turning a knob :) . The other Mod would be to have the decay way longer in order to hear its itch ringing, this is a riskier option for a snare module, but after playing a lot with the module I find there is actually a lot of room for expanding the sound in that direction. Thanks !!
