I have been really happy with my Dakota Digital gauges. I chose them because they offered digital gauges with analog faces with no aftermarket logos on the faces. A plus is that the they have worked flawlessly and have a quality appearance.

I was just thinking about his idea- have you found a solution?

Just wondering how you handled the fuel gauge wiring given the C2 has a 2 wire gauge? Thanks in advance.

Basically one wire is power and one if to the tank which is nothing more that a variable ground which changes ohms to represent how full the tank is. So basically you only have one wire coming form the tank, not two. The Dakota set has an input for the tank wire and I do not think you will need to use the power wire that runs to your ignition ad the DD control unit has the power.

what wires did you use for the fuel gauge? and which plugged into which on the Dakota digital box? I have been trying to sort this out, and it is kicking my butt. I'm working on a 1963 VHX 63Vet. It is LS swapped, and has the BP Automotive harness/ECU.

My case may be a little different because my car is a restomod and I am using a speedway motors wiring harness, not the factory. It basically has a wire that runs from the tank fuel gauge all the way up to the cluster box. I have an aftermarket tank with an in tank pump and new sender. If you are using a factory harness you should have a single wire for the fuel gauge, there is no power to the wire from the tank, all it does is measure resistance to the ground wire at the sender. IS your fuel tank sender grounded well?

@@Fulloctanegarage It is actually a customers car and a friend asked me if I could install the gauges. Where does it ground to?

I believe it has a Holley tank and fuel pump for LS swap

@@Fulloctanegarage I am assuming it is the tan or brown wire that gets connected to the fuel snd. or second opening on the box?

@@richardnevarez6899 The sending unit should have a wire from one of the mounting screws to a ground source/frame. The main wire from the sender (you could run a new wire if needed) should run from the sender to the sender input on the control box. You will need to configure the cluster to match the ohm to match the sender you have. I think mine happens to be a 0-90 ohm but there are others.
