Poor Larry missed Mystik Dan taking the lead. This is the superior race call. Well done.
No doubt about it, terrible call from Larry but this was a superior race call, Travis Stone is the best in the business

@@marcosantoro2715 mine that bird was Tom Durkin (incredible announcer), and he was devastated by his miss on that one. I believe only did one more Derby after that one.
He was not focused on the whole race totally missed Mystick Dan he was interested in the favorite and Japan. And he is calling the Preakness. Bad Call.
@@MusicalTheatre1011 Well, he has a chance to redeem himself. We should keep in mind that there is a ton more pressure on a horse racing play called than any other sport. You get one chance. I think he'll pick it up in the next one. I am a huge Tom Durkin fan and it was sad seeing him lose it a bit toward the end. That guy was amazing in his prime.

Why do they let Larry Collmus call the race? Its not just that he made a blunder, but its his annyong voice. This guy almost sounds like Tom Durkin, he should call the race for NBC.

What a call Its clear Larry isn’t on his game like he used to he just doesn’t have the feel he’s not calling races on a daily basis so he’s lost his touch. This is too big an event to not have the best callers calling the race last year I thought Larry was losing his feel this year it’s evident I believe it’s time you take the reigns.
Yeah I had catching freedom so I knew he blew the call. I had Resilience in my exacta so I could see that too. It reminds me of 2009 when Mine That Bird came up the rail and drew away. It took the announcer forever to see it. Tough line of work but I don’t remember Trevor Denman ever missing one.

Yeah poor Larry Colmus should stay retired, who was another blown call like Rich strike, Larry was calling horses taking the lead that didn't have the lead mystic Dan was out by four Lengths at that point and poor Larry didn't even see him! Travis's call was perfect!😊

He got it right. It's hard to trust Larry Colmus anymore. This is the second Derby Colmus screwed up
Collmus is awful... Stone is far superior.
