Some fuckin haters in these comments today. “How do people eat this shit?” … well, I’ll tell you. first off it’s not the staple of everyone’s diet, it’s 1 meal.. it’s made from simple ingredients, and made with fucking lightning speed. There is something very special about walking by a place while you’re in a hurry and being able to grab hot delicious food in no time. It’s not supposed to be Whole Foods quality or some bullshit. For gods sake they’re not even grilled dogs either, and you know that ahead of time. It’s good quick food made with pride. You haters probably eat hot pockets and shit like that too, but you’re gonna bash this guy? Piss off.
Exactly, me being from India I have seen worse. It is just eat once in a while type of thing. Otherwise whatever I eat has to be home made and I cook for myself and that is something that takes a lot of effort.
I just saw this comment. I'm flabbergasted that someone had to even bring to light a diet that is a necessity to some. When you work 12 to 16 hours a day, and youre hungry, you need an affordable lunch. Hotdogs are affordable and filling.
@XuroX. they advertise them as dirty water dogs. "Dirty water" means seasoned, which is why the color looks that way. If they don't season the water but advertise it as dirty water dogs I'm the idiot?
I had no idea what all a hotdog business had involved, until I saw this channel. It's no joke, that's a lot of work. You have this small space, you have to keep a cool, calm composure bc youre the front AND back of house. You don't have this huge staff, and you have to work fast and deliver really good quality food just to stay afloat, financially. People are hungry and/or hangry (I fall into the hangry category ) this channel is eye opening on what the owners go through on an everyday basis.
Businesses take a tremendous amount of work. If someone hasn't owned one and built it from the ground up or has never worked for themselves at all, they really have no idea. Keep in mind he doesn't show the nightly cleaning, emptying the steam table, prepping all the toppings, doing the ordering, paying vendors, paying the overhead for the space, doing the scheduling, maintenance on the truck, doing interviews, training new employees, etc... The food industry is especially brutal due to the fact that your fresh inventory is on a clock. Don't sell enough onions? You lose money because they went bad eventually. Rained or snowed like crazy and sales were down? Maybe a quarter of the rolls went moldy and you lose money. I have nothing but respect for anyone who works a food business with integrity no matter the simplicity of their product.
@@vincer7824 I know I already responded like a million times. I wish I had a better turn to use than, "this is really hard." It's not really hard, it has to be intrepid, to say the least.
@@kewl851 Hey no worries. Intrepid certainly describes a certain aspect of it. I've felt like that before while cooking professionally. Most things can become a craft when they're done at a high enough level. Hopefully my original comment didn't come off as too intense. I didn't know about how much went into the food business either until I worked in it. Like anything you learn a bit at a time and it accumulates until you're competent and can enjoy it. If you care about doing your best and have pride in your work it can be very satisfying, provided you can cope with the stress, co-worker shenanigans and retain a sense of perspective. I suppose the thing that hurts is a guy like this (Chris' Red Hots) could've worked a job like this (not even necessarily own the business) and make decent living decades ago. Maybe have a small house, decent car and support a wife and a couple kids along with being able to pay for ok health insurance. For a long time and especially now people can barely survive doing "modest" work. Anyway I think it's great this channel helped expose you to a different world and some of the good work people do, even if it's fairly simple stuff in the big picture.
I’ll always have time for this man’s videos something about them makes me feel safe? It’s weird to explain anyways I love this type of content so much ❤️
Another awesome customer service customers come in for the hot dogs to eat the hot dogs then go talk to you are you an awesome job that's what keeps the customers coming back
Ok here’s my possibly dumb question: every once in awhile someone asks for yellow mustard, is there a reason you don’t have it as well as the grainy? Cheers keep up the good work and content - I’m addicted to the videos!
My guess? To keep it simple. If people like mustard at all they'll probably be ok with brown deli style if that's their only choice. Less redundant choices, less inventory to purchase, faster for customers to decide, faster to execute, faster to get through long lines, etc... Sometimes they have it on the truck though, oddly enough.
Am I the only one that makes these while I watch? Being from Oregon. We don’t get this. Where can I find the dogs you use boss? I want to get some to try it. Someday, I hope to try it. You got me sitting here looking at starting a damn hot dog cart.
Nice! What a treat to watch on a Friday afterwork for the weekend ❤🌭 (just followed on insta keep up the great work!) I'd probably get 4 mustard, cowboy chili, cheese, potatoes, and hot onions! 😂😊

Yeah but they're dirty water dogs. Whatever they season the water with is what makes it so good
They don't season the water with anything. There was a previous video where he said they dont.....
Gotta love people that comment shit that they don't know
