Advanced Speed Camera with Tracking, Flow Analysis and Counting

  • Raw video from tests of our advanced traffic analysis and vehicle tracking system. In this test a total of eight lanes are monitored simultaneously with just a single high definition camera. The system can detect traffic moving in different directions, handles the bus lane (leftmost lane), and performs flow analysis and counting apart from speed and direction estimation. Speed calibration is performed using IDITES calibration tools and takes under an hour to setup.

    one car has 2 different speeds at one time (0:35) with barrels (40km/h and 45km/h)

      are they not making a false x,y,z plane at an angle to the videos angle, and having the pixels of the cars ride along this as if it was a flat plane and then getting the average movement between pixels for the speed, the car selection looks done by having the camera realize the black tar has a reference color and so any object moving on the reference color is "out of place" so the color difference makes a function to approximate a car, the areas where the green polygon lines merge would probably be where the pixel speed is determined to show speed of car in reference to the angle which makes a point of reference...
