One of the most polished presentation-styles I've seen. Very high production value. Informative content and easy to watch. I always look forward to these tutorials. Hoping for more on the future. Many thanks.
You're welcome. I look forward to your videos. I watch them over and over. Hopefully will be getting my studio soon (son's bedroom when he moves out) so I can start getting some images together.
Awesome content as always! Can you please do a video talking about your set up and the equipment you use (particularly what you use to hold/facilitate the products as you shoot them) and tips for propping up different products? Your arrangement is probably the only one I’ve seen so far that allows for flexibility in shooting objects without breaking your back to bend down and shoot every time 😆
Found your channel a week or so ago. Some really great educational material. Love how you show the process and zoom in on images as you go. Really appreciate the 'budget' approach too (I've got 3 Yongnuos myself). Keep it up!
Great tutorials. Organized. Insightful. I like your serious approach. Question: you casually mentioned focus stacking - can a person use focus stacking in combination your "comping" method of shooting and processing? It would seem to me that things could get very complex. If it's possible, maybe you'd consider making a video demonstrating your technique. Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work.
You're right, that could get complex. I'd suggest trying to nail down 90% of the shot in one lighting set up for proper stacking, little details can be blended in later too. Thanks for your comment, I hope you continue watching our episodes!
Great info, I’m trying to make my best for the jewellery which I make, but they are not enough good. Could you make one tutorial for jewellery (gemstones with gold or silver) please? Thank you
Hi Dustin, cool video! I've noticed your clams to hold your reflector, could you tell me where you got them from? Mines are really not as effective... Thanks and keep on the good work!
ajwb86 Hey there! Got them on Canadian Amazon via Newwer. They sell clamps by themselves, but this 2-pack had lightstand adapters. Try typing a few queries into Amazon, follow our Affiliate links to support the channel. Cheers
Hi there, we custom made our own table attachment. If you would like to receive an update when it is available for shipping sign up below. www.subscribepage.com/workphlotable
I was wondering what you sit the acrylic sheet on top of, I can see the stand, but what is in between the stand and the sheet? I've used stands with clamps to hold each side of the acrylic before, but I've never found anything I can put on top of a stand that I can sit a sheet onto. At least, nothing that will fit ontop of a regular stand.
Nice to see another one of your videos it's always great to see you work. I'd love to see you do some photoshopping splash stuff in on a future video or some more photoshop compositing. If you get time check out my Instagram feed for my latest shots I'd love to hear what you think 👍
Found one of yours videos accidentally and watch them all! If you have an opportunity.. can you show how to shoot box of product which have glossy and matte varnish on design and also embossing. Question is how to show these different surfaces on photo. Thanks
Great presentation. Just one question, how do you get the Plexiglass to rest on top of the tripod/lightstand. Is there another attachment or is it just a very good balancing act?
Great video! Simple and to the point with clear explanations. I have used it to shoot this instagram.com/p/BYt5ditFE6z/ . I was pleasantly surprised to get a like from you on it. Thank you for that! It really boosted my confidence. Today my 120x30cm softbox had arrived and looking to learn more from your channel and i will try to replicate more of your product shooting and workflow to improve my skills. Keep up the good work and looking forward to your next video.

genius . help me a lot
How do you trigger the soft box's studio strobe while holding the speed light?
The foggy bit is probably light reflecting from the watch and bouncing of miner fingerprints.
Cheers Harald!
Man, you make these so simple.
Can you tell me what is the acrylic glass sitting on?

Update: It's a 1/4" nut welded to a plate! See here: ua-cam.com/video/RtF0UZrKeJA/v-deo.html
Hi Workphlo, what is your lens in this movie?
I believe it's the kit 18-105mm
What lens use for watch Photography ?
Here I am using a Kit lens just to show it's use in a limited environment.
my comment on this, make sure the SECONDs Hand will be somewhere at 12 o'clock/hr, do not top it on the Minute Hand
Thanks for that
How are you attaching that plexiglas to the light stand?
We welded a nut to the bottom, see here: ua-cam.com/video/RtF0UZrKeJA/v-deo.html
