I use my Jelly 2 every day as my main phone and it's not used particularly lightly. Internet, UA-cam, email, Facebook... they all work just fine on this phone. Location, wifi, bluetooth and hotspot all get regular workouts without running out of battery. I often get to 3 am with about 50% battery left. It is possible to flatten the battery if you turn everything on (location, wifi, bluetooth and hotspot) and use the internet all day... but otherwise it's likely to last all day. Android 10 has been fairly trouble free. Haven't noticed any obvious bugs. Unihertz tends to bring out regular updates... so any problem that is spotted seems to be fixed fairly quickly. I've got some very nice pics with my camera. It's not perfect but it's good enough. I wish it was a bit better in low light conditions... but it's not bad. It's a great mid range phone with excellent specs for a low end price. :-)

I have been waiting for a phone like this! I've been frustrated with big phones for years, and living in the UK, the brightness limitations are not going to be a problem 😂
Been using Jelly 2 for 8 months as my only phone. Love it. For me, everything works perfectly--WiFi, Bluetooth, Fingerprint (set it up for both hands), QR, NFC. Camera not good though. Unihertz provided a security update (May 5, 2021--probably the last we'll see). I'm a light/moderate user--no social media, WiFi, Bluetooth and that stuff constantly running (I use them as needed), so I can get at least 2 days if not 3 of battery life with light/moderate texting, calls, game playing (not action games). The downside is that it doesn't have a removable battery. I haven't tried GPS. I have T-Mobile in US.
I ordered one this week, can't wait to get it. Jelly2 might be the only modern phone designed to be a phone. I don't want to watch feature films for hours, I want a portable smart device that fits properly in my pocket. That's why I ordered it, can't wait to get it! I remember when smartphones started out and they were all about this size, so there is very much a market for this. Its too bad this manufacturer is obscure and unknown, it won't get beyond a niche product, but if this were offered by apple or samsung it would fly off the shelves.
It's pretty ideal for people who wear scrubs like me. Big phones tend to slide out and swing so much when in a hurry. I ordered one and still waiting for it to arrive.
Back in the day (2011) I had a Blackberry Torch 9810, and it had, as I recall, a 3.2 inch screen plus both virtual and physical keyboards. Even with my large hands, it was perfectly usable so I don't foresee any issues with the Unihertz Jelly 2.
This phone is just absolutely for me. Has all the features of a smart phone that I need while thanks to its uncomfortable size, I won't abuse those features.
It looks like a perfect solution for the large number of people for whom a simple flip-phone serves their telephone needs. But, who are being forced to buy a smartphone to handle formerly simple tasks that now require the use of a smartphone. Maybe having the need for a few apps required when one travels. Additionally, it is perfect for the rest of us who have no need for the current monstrous-sized phone that no longer fit into tailored pants pockets and who want to keep both hands free for more important tasks. (The 4.0/4.25" tall sized smartphone remains unavailable.)
I view a lot of videos regarding digital minimalism , in everycomment section i see people confessing that they are slave to their smartphones. This is so terrifying.
Great Video. I want one to strap to my wrist and look at maps when running or hiking doing other activities, as well as play music, podcasts, etc. I currently strap my pixel 2 to my wrist on some runs and it's a bit bulky. I hope that, even with a 2000 mah battery, the small screen will make the battery last a long time.
"no video editing"? Sounds like a challenge! 😜 I just ordered one yesterday. This will be my primary/only phone. I have smaller hands and am sick of having to buy a bigger and bigger phone every time it's time to upgrade.
Wait. They make a 2006 phone in 2020 and it's impressive? Back when I was a young man ,candy was a nickel, we walked to school in the snow in the summer and carried heavy books to study from, these were our phones. And we liked them like that. We played Tetris and texted 8008 to look like the word boob. Yeah those were the days. I want to buy this phone
I use the Nova launcher. It adds an app drawer and 6 app icons per row!! D) Readable and useable!! I do use it as my main phone. Some apps have texts cut off, but for me there is no app that is not usable on this phone. Also its stock Android. I installed 50 apps and I still have 111 gb of storage left. Also I use a 256gb SD-card on it. I think the fingerprint sensor is good too. It performs better with my fingers than the behind screen one on my Note 10 plus. When taking your phone with you the whole day to listen to news and potcasts and when you like the use of a headphone jack now and then its easier than a large phone and its speaker is not that great, but its loud enough.
This phone is good for really small people or people that wear pants with small pockets. I like the small size so when I get mad at home it's the perfect size to throw at the dining room wall
I have the Titan and love the keyboard and battery power. I am thinking about the Jelly 2 for travel, and I wonder what was your experience with the GPS? Android phones seem to have a wide variance in GPS performance, and if this were a travel choice, it wouldn't be very useful if the GPS wasn't great. Also, what kind of stylus will work with the Jelly 2? Trading the keyboard of the Titan for the portability of the Jeyy, I think I would want a stylus for poking the tiny virtual keys. Thanks for a great review!
They need to change the marketing for this phone as a streaming music player for the gym that also happens to be a phone. I use this phone because no one makes a small wifi streaming mp3 player.
