Backpacking through High Sierra mountains on John Muir Trail July 6 -19, 2024 Backcountry permit required Highlights: nature Negatives: heat, mosquitos
This is a terrific video. It very much gives the story of the hike. Both the glorious views and the seemingly endless climbs. I have done the JMT twice, both southbound and northbound. I much prefer NB starting at Cottonwood Lakes TH, climbing both Langley and Whitney then finishing with a climb of Clouds Rest and Half Dome. Oh, and do it slower next time. :-)
Well done, you two. Great meeting you both! -Sej
This is on our bucket list! Looks AMAZING 🤩
Great and inspiring video , what a journey ! Congrats
Tim Kelly and I did in 11 days in Sept, 1962. Full moon, very cold, hiked at night to keep warm.
Great video! I did the trail SoBo in 2012.
