So excited for your success, you prove that art is not just a hobby. Your brushes were so good I had to make a video on it, and the grip I’m still messing around with it. I am doing the same drawing three times , one without grip, one with my old grip and the third with the your grip. I hope it helps people see the benefits. Just from a few sketches I’ve done it has really helped ease the pain and reduced fatigue .

Thank you! I'm going to try to focus on this next year. And, including the commercial use license is a huge deal for me as a customer. It's a real pain to try to track the limited use things so I usually don't buy them. I'm going to brainstorm more product ideas for 2023. I may go with fantasy wall art, while I continue to focus on Creative Fabrica. But I'm not sure yet. I might try my hand at procreate stamp brushes. I use them and it's fun.

Thank you for your tutorials! Your instructions are so clear! Have you ever touched on left handed drawers? Living in a right handed world, we Lefties always learn to adapt! I'm always amused how you draw your circles or how you add something and it seems so different than what comes natural to me! I'm not sure where my art will go, but learning some of your techniques I know my art is only getting better. Thank you!

I have a great idea for a digital download(s) for photographers that aids in the printing of their images. I do photography on the side. Creating the files in PS is easy. I am just trying to figure out how to package this information digitally into a sellable format. I just watched your video. It has great information. I will look at more of your videos to see if you go into that.

….I have a question….how is platforms like Canva and AI going to influence sales in Etsy or ones own website shop?
People can so easily now create there own art or templates….basically anything without being a artist and in Canva one can create loads with a free account - I have noted the huge amount of AI CLIPART coming into Etsy, people selling Huge bundles - that is most properly being created with AI…
Should one start moving away from digital downloads?….and maybe start focusing on merchandising, like t-shirts, books etc?
This is really a huge worry for a lots of artist and I would love to know what you think, maybe make a video too!

100%.... 1000%... 10,000% agree with everything you said on this... BUT... HUGE BUT.... it is not the same for everyone.
I have thousands of digital products online... 65+ books on KDP.... 20+ years experience with self-publishing. Huge range of POD merch...
A lot of what I make for digital products in a small niche that is HUGE, but full off theft now... my reviews and feedback are 99% positive.... Some of the thigns i make become popular and mainstream.. but a day to 7 days later, there are anything from 2-50 almost identical copies on AMZ merch... stock websites... and so on.
BUT. wait, there is more.. here it goes... PIRACY++++ ... it has killed me. Some of my previously good selling digital products are SO spread over google image search. freepik, pixabay. wallpaer websites... etc, no chance in hell of reigning it in. Even my life long friends have posted on social media for such an event/holiday and used my art... but they didn't know I made it, and it was from either google image search, or a "free" image website.
I also photographed live music events for 20+ years... any image you put online instantly is spread massively by the fans, watermark or not. Zero value now in that market. (yeah, cool to meet my friends in the bands many times, and after all these years together... but 2-8 hours of works deserve some pay)
EVEN MORE CRAZY... I signed up for a website to try sell my ORIGINAL art work.... 3 hours later my account was banned and terminated.... turns out other people had been selling my work, illegally, on that website for years!!! I had to make a video/screen recording of me opening the Photoshop files... opening the back up hard drives from 10 years ago etc.... to prove that I made those files many years ago! Will they give me the revenue those criminals made? Of course not. Did they even close them down? NOPE!! Just removed my products but let them sell their "other prodcuts" which you would have to assume are also stolen.
I can not afford US lawyers for even one case, (despite my wife working for 5 out of the top ten US lawy firms in the past 20 years... AL Gore worked at one of them..). But this happens over and over again... thousands of times per year.
Amazon Merch... literally 1 week ago I finally got approved, after 6-7 years applying. I think it was because this time I said... hey. WTF???.. I have sold 60,000 plus book on KDP, i want to make some merch based on these books. Who knows really how they decide that?
And then for KDP... my best sellers.... soon there are 10 - 100 books who copy the title, the fonts and even the description. Unfortunately when it comes to books, you cant copyright title and description, and Amazon does NOTHING to enforce 100% copys of book cover, even when it is so clear it is a copy. Amazon can see EXACTLY what date I upload my books, what date i write the description and what date the person who copies does for their "book". Advertise your book with KDP paid ads... build it up.. .tweak the promotions.. on the first day of the fourth month, sales plummet 95% or more... happened at least 10 times now!
And on, and on and on it goes....
100% what you said is correct in this video, if it works for you.
However, I STILL do client work, and the reason is... imagintion... they say.. hey, I want "this, this and this".. and my brain goes ok... wow... yeah.. sure... and I think it over and it really gets my creative juices going.
++** I posted under this UA-cam account I never use... to keep my identity secret... I don't need any more people ripping off my artwork.
People deserve to hear the other side too. 1 person succeeds... 1000 don't. Such is life.

    • @RandyBass
      @RandyBass Рік тому +1

I hear ya!!! I have barely scratched the surface to MBA or any of the others, as far as uploads, yet I had 3 art designs stolen and put onto journals. What a serious pain in the @$$ to get them to remove them?!?!!? Makes it so hard to put in the extra effort to move forward.
So, I deal with clients instead.
I then hope an online design takes off well enough before someone steals it.

I feel for you. A lot of us are being ripped off, but the platforms make too much money from the infringements. More stringent legislation needs to be created, and actually enforced. Banning listings from China, India, Vietnam etc. may help. Wish someone would develop an image encrypted code, that's embedded for a specific image. The hidden information would have the image creation date etc.
Won't stop theft but would help with ownership claims. Too bad we don't have white-hat hackers on our side, who would be willing to shut the scam artists down. Fight fire with fire.
Michel Keck, a fine art artist has dealt with her own copyright nightmares for over a decade. Dealing with China mainly.
