Thanks for the upload it was vary helpful. For those having issues make sure your 1 touch vents are fully closed when wedging and twisting the screwdriver and handle, otherwise your not gonna have enough leverage to pop the handle free. So glad to finally have my one touch set up on the left side of my kettle grill, instead of being on the right side like it is out of the box... which as a righty didn't feel right, now I can stand on the left side of my grill in comfort/ease well holding the spatula in my right hand and using my left to grab the lid handle and one touch handle.
This is a very helpful video, but be aware that your one touch isn't going to come apart this easily or potentially not at all without some strong persuasion. After a healthy dose of PB Blaster to loosen everything up the screwdriver did nothing. Ultimately a set of straight jaw Vice Grips clamped across the handle loop and a strong twist dislodged the handle. You're throwing it away anyway so why be timid? Smooth sailing after that.
it's very easy to do if you have a new system like the guy he's using in the video otherwise if your grill has been outside for a year or two forget about it the rustt inhibits you putting the screwdriver in or even twisting the handle

Thank you! I used your instructions to take apart and clean my existing one-touch cleaning system.

this video made my project the easiest project ever!....lol super simple...thanks!
Thanks very much. I had to use an angle grinder to take out the original bracket and handle but everything came out and came together after that!
Wow came to see the repair and seen a commercial. BTW people Weber gives a 10 yr warranty on old one and sends you the new one free.

Mine is ashy as fu%# I had to persuade using the dremel Wouldn’t even turn at all
Note to anyone... Don’t wait 45+ years to do this. It will involve vice grips, a hack saw, hammer and sledge hammer. I can't post a picture.
This video is pointless as no one has a perfectly clean weber if they’re at the point where they have to replace the system.
