I didn't know why she behaved this way and neither did the vet (surprising answer below)

- After completing this video, we learned what's the medical problem Snowbird is suffering from that causes the weakness in her hind legs. The source of the problem is actually in her HEART and her condition is called: Cardiac Shunt.
Later on today the cardiologist will determine if we can fix this with surgery or by managing this condition with medication. Please keep your fingers crossed for her, and if you can, please get your own Lucky Leash today and ALL the funds will go towards her medical care: www.HopeForPaws.org

She knew when he put the leash on. She was somebody’s pet once and the leash was a good thing to her. It meant she had an owner.
Julie Berlier: Yes. I think when some get the leash on them they feel like they’re part of the pack. They remember their previous humans doing that.

I was planning on making a pet hospital and become a doctor and also rescue
teliah cordingley Giving animals needles (shots) is helping them to be healthy. Just like human babies/children get vaccines to help prevent measles, chickenpox, etc. Neutering & spaying them is also better for their health. It helps to prevent certain types of cancers, as well as stop them from having unwanted babies who may starve & die. Helping animals isn’t always glamorous. But if you love them, things like shots are necessary.

However even i, who never owned a pet knows that rescuing animals are expensive. Those medical bills are kinda expensive
Why she behaved this way ?? .. like any other terrified stray starving dog, there was no mystery about it
She knew she was saved. After you comforted her she really calmed down. Great story. Great people. Great great channel and organization. I’m proud of all of you for what’s its worth. God bless you all.

@@danielleza908 I agree with Wookie. Her comment was a year ago and the description just says "later on today". When was "today"? I hope she hasn't passed already and that there will still be an update coming soon. My little one passed not long after she was diagnosed with a heart issue that caused her to do the same thing. She was up in age by then, but loved to the very end.
This was posted back in November 2018. "Today" would probably still have been late 2018 or early 2019. An update now (May 2020) would be appreciated as WookieCookie wrote.
I would rather not know. I understand the foster people keep them if nobody homes them, so they have a home for life either way ♥ I don't need to know the nitty gritties when they are in safe hands and these angel people are way too busy rescuing and taking care of animals to do updates on the countless dogs they rescue, but if can adopt then you can go through the proper channels :)

She's so sweet! A beautiful little dog! I loved, "I've got tricks too!" LOL! In one of your videos where you were running around trying to catch a dog, the dog was cornered and showed no signs of being caught and you told the dog to "Sit!" and it did, lol! That's a pretty standard command taught to dogs, but I sure didn't expect a rescue dog to follow that command right in the middle of a crazy scene where you were trying to do a rescue. Best scene ever, lol!

microchips are a BLESSING however they have to be used by the rescuer correctly. My dog got out of the fence one day and was picked up by the local PD and the stray animal shelter she was taken too never even bothered to check for a chip -.- thank you for all you do and for trying to reconnect lost dogs with their owners =]

I'm not a psychologist of a behavioural biologist or anything but it's my suspicion that if making friends feels good for a Human then for a pack animal like a Dog it must feel an order of magnitude better.
A Dog on its own is a wretched creature. Then along comes the Hope For Paws crew with treats and gentle touches. The Dog starts to figure "Hey, I've got social bonds" and gets a bit high, and We the viewers get a bit of it second hand. So much win.
