@@mahibsabara2906 Yeah the North Tower was 6 ft higher plus had the huge 375 ft antenna. Definitely the more noticeable of the two. I really wish they would've rebuilt the Twins but made them a few hundred feet taller, and implemented all the new security and emergency features which the current 1 World Trade uses. Steel reinforced concrete for the first 25 stories then steel and concrete for the next 90 stories. Have egress stairs both in the core and on the corners... And have them be special4lt lighted, reinforced, and pressurized. Have an air filtration system and better air flow and protection. Have an excellent smoke detecting system and sprinkler system. Thicker more resistant windows. Better/more fire protection foam. And at the points where the huge steel sectipns come together, in the original WTC they were connected by large bolts. New WTC they use large bolts plus weld them together. I think if the old towers had thicker more resistant windows, bolted AND welded joints, and adequate fire insulation - the towers absolutely would've withstood the attack.
All thanks to Yamasaki the architectural genius behind them. When they were first opened they received an award for the outstanding engineering achievement. However they never won any awards as works of good architecture. Critics of the time unanimously voted them as architectural blunders. Yamasaki never got the praise he deserved for his innovative design before succumbing to cancer in the 80s And the twin towers themselves were short lived as the world's tallest buildings. The sole reason they were 110 stories was to break the new record. Yama's initial concept called for 80 to 90 stories.

Every chair, every lamp, every table, every carpet and also lots of the lifes we see in those images have turned into ashes 20 years ago. It is such a surreal thought, but yet, such a real fact. It is a mad world, the one we are living in.
My mom lived in NY in 1995 and also went to the wtc in 1995 . She has a picture of her on there she says but she hasn’t showed me it yet . My mom said it was such a beauty going up there and seeing the city .
I was only 4yrs old when 9/11 happened so I have no memory of it. I was too young to understand. I've never seen the inside of the Twin Towers but it is so stunningly beautiful. I have such a deep appreciation for that time in history. I'm not American but seeing videos and pictures of the disaster still leaves me torn up inside. It must have been such a huge flex to tell people you worked there. So prestigious, urbane, and almost regal even. A part of me wishes they would rebuild it the exact same way, but I know that might trigger unpleasant memories and traumatize the victims' families. The newer buildings in place of the WTC just doesn't command the same presence or essence anymore. Thank you for this video.
Tomorrow will be 20 years since the skyline and lives changed forever. My birthday falls on this day and it is unfortunate, but I’m going to try and remember what the towers for what they were. Crazy to think 20 years ago today those towers were still standing coming up to there final hours. Rest In Piece to all of those who perished.
I truly enjoyed that. I forgotten how beautiful the main floor lobby was, and how huge. I had applied for a job in tower 1, 65th floor. I didn't take the job, tho. If I did, I probably wouldn't be here tdy. I hope the ppl who interviewed me, made it out. The WTC was featured so many films, in the 70s. They were interesting blogs. Modern. RIP WTC, and those who never made it out. The ending was very bad. But I'm glad we were able to enjoy them for the time we had them🕊🌷
I’ve never seen such a comprehensive collect of photos! This is amazing! You should make a compilation of solely the interiors of the towers, not many are familiar with what they looked like
The first time I saw the Twin Towers I was driving up the Jersey Turnpike at night, and I could see them for 10-20 miles before even reaching upper Jersey, across from Manhattan... and I thought, "My God... what are those magnificent twin buildings." They were almost bigger than life, and remained that way to me every time I went to NYC and saw them. I would just stare at them, amazed. They were my favorite buildings of all time... and still are! NYC will NEVER be the same without them. This video is haunting... as if seeing a dear friend who passed, once again. They should have rebuilt them better, stronger than the originals. But I suppose in this day and time money is more important to some than anything else. We allowed terrorists to take something from us, and some were too cowardly to rebuild... or greedy! I wonder if the evil, hate-filled b@st@rds who knocked my Twin Towers down are enjoying their 72 virgins right now... in HELL? Oh that's right... there is no enjoyment in hell. OOPS! Surprise!!!
Unfortunately, the hijackers won. We had a second chance to prove them wrong by rebuilding the towers. To bring back what they took away. But we didn’t. So, I’m sad to say they won.
@@PaehShorts While you have a point here, keep in mind three things. While there's plenty of evidence it did what will it accomplish is this: Really honor the victims restoring their status. Show that we can always rebound even from the worst, & the enemy can't defeat us.
I love coming back to this video particularly after a few drinks. It just reminds me of a time gone by. Majestic, beautiful. Those beautiful towers and the people that admired them. 50.00-53:10 is my favourite part, those soaring synths. I never visited the towers. I was only 20 when they fell. I have never even visited the USA. I hope to one day visit the 9/11 memorial and pay my respects. God bless 🙏
I have some prints from film when I visited the World trade center a couple of weeks before 9/11. As photographs they are nothing special, views from the top of the South tower, from the plaza, from Ellis Island. But, to me they are a deeply personal link to the towers and the people I probably passed by who would perish a few weeks later. In particular, when I visited there was a camera which automatically took your picture on the observation deck and some girls inside who's job it was to try and sell you your picture. I can still vividly remember their New York accent as they shouted out 'stop and see your photos guys'. I didn't buy the photo but they smiled warmly at me anyway. This was on the top floor of WTC2. Every 9/11 anniversary I wonder if they were on duty on that fateful morning, and if they made it.
OMG such beauty! 🌞 I wish I would have seen these awesome twin towers of PURE LOVE AND JOY in person! My God ! Thank you for posting this ❤️❤️💗💗💗 I feel so much 💔 for all the victims of 911 RIP all you beautiful souls 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Today is September 11, 2024 😢 so I decided to watch this. Such wonderful memories GOD PLEASE BLESS OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY AND BRING US BACK TO WHAT YOU INTENDED US TO BE….
With these towers went an entire separate timeline of possibilities and our collective confidence in the world around us. I would have given anything to have experienced the optimism my parents felt in the 1990s and very early 2000s as an adult myself. I can't dwell on it, of course, but I can grieve and long for the world we could have had if these towers were still standing today. Even now, my heart aches for all those that were lost.
It's hard to believe this September 11th coming up will be 20 years since this horrific tragedy happened. I miss the Twin Towers & R.I.P. to the police officers, firefighters, emts & innocent bystanders.
I share your sentiments. And I thank the many police officers, firefighters, and other first responders who are sick from doing rescue and recovery...wishing them well. 🙏
With 10,000 gallons of jet fuel & a 2 ton 767 Boeing Jet hitting the World Trade Center at 650 miles per hour what you can expect a ranging ball of 🔥. 😭 Day for America 😭
I never seen them because I was born 5 years later, but they were highly respected and adored, Rest In Peace to everyone who died in the attacks, Including the 6 from 1993 ❤
Such beautiful and haunting memories. I thank God that I got to see them and visit in them several times in the 1980's and have pictures of my own of them still standing!
You were so lucky to see them..and feel them in your heart..my life long dream was to visit New York..and see the twin tower's..but no..always had to work..always...man..my advice..dont ever be married to your job and you miss out on one little dream you wanted in life..rest in heavenly peace..thoese poor people. ❤
They were more than just buildings. They were elegant, beautiful, majestic, and in a way alive. Truly a great loss Prayers for all who were lost, and their loved ones who will feel the unrelenting pain. Curse on the murdering cowards hope they are rotting in hell. They are a insult to a great religion and to God. We will remember the Heros who ran towards the danger to save many lives that horror filled day. Bless them all.
I never been inside even as a New Yorker but my dad had to drop something off once there when I was around 6/7 . I remember looking up and thinking “wow these buildings are really tall”. I also thought the courtyard I think it was between the two buildings was beautiful
Watching these images, even just stills of them standing in the distance. It just gives a whole vibe, iconic doesn't even begin to capture it. The world really changed, I was barely a toddler, not even American, but there was a subtle shift. A lot of people looked to America as impenetrable. But, then this happened, and it just became clear how no one alive is truly safe.
the towers werent amazing, they were PERFECT! even tho if i wasnt born yet.. they were still really perfect towers. nothing like these has been created before, may all victims of 9/11 and 1993 rest in peace.

Wonderful comment 💗
This is a phenomenal video you got shots of these masterpieces from every possible angle inside & out...very well done 👏👏
Thank you for putting together this extensive album of the twin towers, mega like my friend!
But I'm glad we were able to enjoy them for the time we had them🕊🌷
I can never cross these off of my bucket list, that vexes me terribly, i grew up with those towers being born as they were going up
By far one of the best videos I've seen of the twins so far. Great video!
Did you get to see them for real???
I’ve never seen such a comprehensive collect of photos! This is amazing! You should make a compilation of solely the interiors of the towers, not many are familiar with what they looked like
Having done hair all my life.. Would love to see the.. Beauty. Shop...
OOPS! Surprise!!!
You spoke my mind. We should've rebuilt them & show that we can't be defeated by vile ppls.
Unfortunately, the hijackers won. We had a second chance to prove them wrong by rebuilding the towers. To bring back what they took away. But we didn’t. So, I’m sad to say they won.
While building back the twin tower is a good idea, kinda worried that it feels 9/11 never happened
@@PaehShorts While you have a point here, keep in mind three things. While there's plenty of evidence it did what will it accomplish is this:
Really honor the victims restoring their status.
Show that we can always rebound even from the worst,
& the enemy can't defeat us.
I get chills thinking about the height of those buildings knowing people had to
Bless them all 🙏
I never got to see the twin towers in person. After watching this you’ve brought us there 💙
These are very amazing photos. They remind us of what we once had and what we lost. I especially like the photo of the South tower at 0:26
Amazing images!! Thanks for creating this and sharing! ❤
Man, I wish I was able to visit the WTC... As a person with sentimental value to stuff, ik those photos mean the world to you
Took me a while to realize that the music playing is the music that played in the plaza in the last few years before 9/11 😢
Play “How deep is your love” was a nice touch as it was the last song to play in the WTC Plaza, even just before the towers collapsed.
I did not know that, thank you for sharing ❤
Beautiful, lengthy video. Thank you for sharing.
I really miss these beauties and the way they defied the skyline of NYC.
New York is not the same anymore these buildings were the soul of the city
Ya know it I ain’t been since
I wish I got to see them they look beautiful.also rest in peace to everyone who died.💔💔😭
Its almost 20 years
Twin Towers may be gone but will never be forgotten along with all those people that were tragically murdered in this terrorist attacks
Wow, great job at compiling this
These Twin Towers were extremely well built🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Then how were they destroyed like it was nothing
@@MennoM.L. fire my friend, they sustained a massive blow and still stood until the fire weakened critical beams
With 10,000 gallons of jet fuel & a 2 ton 767 Boeing Jet hitting the World Trade Center at 650 miles per hour what you can expect a ranging ball of 🔥. 😭 Day for America 😭
No skyscraper is immune to being destroyed nothing is, All we can do is just enjoy seeing them in our lifetimes.
@@sc1338 We al know thats Baloney ! wt7
It’s so sad that years of hard work was just crushed to pieces
I never seen them because I was born 5 years later, but they were highly respected and adored, Rest In Peace to everyone who died in the attacks, Including the 6 from 1993 ❤
Such beautiful and haunting memories. I thank God that I got to see them and visit in them several times in the 1980's and have pictures of my own of them still standing!
If possible, you could share the images on Flickr
You were so lucky to see them..and feel them in your heart..my life long dream was to visit New York..and see the twin tower's..but no..always had to work..always...man..my advice..dont ever be married to your job and you miss out on one little dream you wanted in life..rest in heavenly peace..thoese poor people. ❤
So lucky 😊
@California CC toilets Interesting. Not sure why your uncle choose to take a picture of a toilet. Maybe the bathroom was pretty looking.
They were more than just buildings. They were elegant, beautiful, majestic, and in a way alive.
Truly a great loss
Prayers for all who were lost, and their loved ones who will feel the unrelenting pain.
Curse on the murdering cowards hope they are rotting in hell. They are a insult to a great religion and to God.
We will remember the Heros who ran towards the danger to save many lives that horror filled day. Bless them all.
43:43 interesting fact: This photo was taken at 11 September 2001 8:36:05 in 10 minutes before first plane hit North Tower
wow i didn't know that!!!
It was 8:36 AM

Yep. Severe clear.
These photos are absolutely stunning!
If the Twins were still there I would see them on EarthCam
The Twin Towers were simply ✨ Iconic ✨
They were one of a Kind.. Just like New York... ❤
Superb and majestic buildings
Never had the chance to visit them 😢
Rest In Peace all the innocent victims.
Very rare collection!
Very well done. What pleasure it was to take the journey into the twin towers.
the towers werent amazing, they were PERFECT! even tho if i wasnt born yet.. they were still really perfect towers. nothing like these has been created before, may all victims of 9/11 and 1993 rest in peace.
Its sad thinking that some people who are shown in some pictures were probably killed on 9/11.. RIP to all who died.
20 years. Never forget
Si 😿
@@agustinhernandez3171por culpa de George w bush ya no están las torres gemelas
This video makes me wish I was a part of a time that no longer exists. I wish I could’ve seen them in person just once. I was only 2 years old when 9/11 happened.
Thank you so much for uploading, these are amazing shots.
Omg these are beautiful and make me nostalgic!
sucks that these towers had to go.
Video eternizado!! Eu tinha 12 anos quando infelizmente caiu estas lindas torres!😢... Mas amei o vídeo!! Lindo!
