I did it this past weekend. And let me tell you if you have an older model jeep like I do a 12 JK. Get ready for some pain. Those bolts are frozen to the floor board unlike a newer model that works with a socket set and a little muscle to break free. Invest in a good torque wrench bring a fan for circulation and perhaps a buddy for tag team at those bolts. Trust me when I tell you this was not an easy mod. My body is aching from pushing and pulling that torque wrench. My best advice is have a shop style air compressor with a strong impact wrench if you can afford that. if not maybe try a cordless impact wrench tool and I tried that and no such luck there, not a budge those bolts only come off with brute strength from that torque tool. It gone done but I paid the price in body pain.🤪💪

It strange everyone is talking about bolts hard to remove. My biggest issue is not that. How do you guys line up the 3 rear bolts? When you put the spacers it does not line up anymore? I have the rear 3 bolts loosen only as per instructions but mine does not line up anymore.. I almost feel the hole can help it was bigger. 2016 JKU Rubicon.
You have any methods on taking the hardtop down by yourself?

Doubt it, the rear wall doesn't allow for the space to recline, the entire seat would have to be moved forward.
