Hey Drae. Telling one of those full auto archers to hold ground is very ineffective. If you tell them to attack, then they strafe and run backwards to keep their distance. One archer should be able to take on roughly close to 1 million footman(if everything goes well and he doesn't get surrounded).
If he put down 10 of those full auto archers they could of lasted a very long time
Love how the devs are commenting on here giving advice and such, you guys are great
Would it be possible to make Tesla electric beam shoot much further so when or if you add future tech units to maybe give them electric beam attacks or laser beam attacks? Cause the Nikola Tesla beam only shoots at short range and would look really cool for long distant shots down enemy lines.

This game not only has water physics, it has blood physics too. Lakes and rivers of blood will form if enough people die if you enable "Blood volumes (experimental)" on the setup screen

I'm always soo baffled that this game doesn't lag with all those units on the battlefield. And great vid as always Drae ✌️

I think this game lets you run the units off your graphics card so you can do these bigger battles
@@generalkanobi2767 Basically, he means that all the troops share data(they all use the same textures, the same AI, even the same animations), to limit resource usage. You have a shared pattern all the units are based on.
However, I think the main reason it performs so well is that most of the simulation runs on the gpu, rather than the cpu.
Helps that drae has one of the best gpus

Man, if Nikola made a futuristic tank that fires electric beam like that, it would be the coolest thing to watch on a battle. I mean just look at the flashes that it makes when Drae pans the camera out on a top view, it’s just beautiful and epic to watch.

Hey Drae, try to put tank projectiles on the free ranged chicken, it's hilarious
Also just a tip : the custom projectiles you put on a unit (that is originally ranged) behave like the original projectile of the unit (for example the catatank you made had tank projectiles but behaved like rocks)
I think it's a really good idea that it keeps the physics too. I like to do a bit of roleplay when playing this game so I took an Archer, gave him the tank projectile and just a hair of splash damage and called it a Fire Mage. Setting 1000 of those against an army and just watching the "fireballs" arc and rain down is so awesome.
"It's actually insane to watch this." He says while several hundred yards from the battle, facing away from it, with several thousand bodies flying by.
At the end you talked about competitive troops. That's exactly what I use the customs for. I use unit markers like "NerfRoman" "BuffPersian" and "ElitePersian" when I need to tune up certain types of enemies. Makes my favored type of siege battles more realistic. Send in a horde of footman to weaken the defending team, some standard units, then finish with the elites to see how the defenders do.

Those tanks remind me of Daleks.. I think bumping up the fire rate instead of aoe damage, like you did with the archers, would be pretty awesome.

In the first game, chuck has the same amount of health but I believe he is also immortal lmao. When his health hits 0 it resets. It technically counts as a death for the kill counter but he still lives lol
How about the automatic-archer customised with the electricity bolts? Think it be a cool idea
It amazes me that this game is running this smooth with how much is going on! Great development right there.

I’d really just want to see two huge armies just smash into each other
I just want to see both a melee and ranged version of like a million attack speed but 1 damage and maybe bring back the healer unit by giving something negative damage
Hey drae, those armoured footmen will be much better armoured than you think. The metal armour will basically act like a Faraday cage and protect them from the electric gun of the tanks
But it would play havoc with their iphones...

Here's a Battle for you, Take a Company of 170 U.S. Army Troops with a Company of 12-14 Sherman Tanks supported by a Platoon of 30 Marine Corps Riflemen to hold the High Ground from about 4,000 Roman Soldiers, Cavalry, Orcs and Ogres. This is Kinda Similar to the Battle of Alnus Hill from the Anime TV Series "GATE - Thus the JSDF Fought There". If you need to take a look, there are Clips of it on UA-cam.

The ironic thing is that if Drae REALLY wanted to spot the trolls during the Tank battle, he should've just watched where the Tanks were at the frontlines since obviously that's where the Trolls would be going (I understand they got really spread out throughout the battle but as he said, there's 200,000 of them in that one battle, I doubt all 200,000 will be going to a single individual tank)

IF I remember right in the first game, if you got legally distinct Chunk Norris down to Zero health, it'd just loop back around to full.

btw drae blood on units doesnt always mean units are taking damage sometimes blood and spray on the and it gives them a bloody look [also i dont know if you know this yet but blood can pool make like rivers and stuff like that]

If a unit is coated in blood, that doesn't mean it took damage. The blood isn't necessarily from the bloody unit

Swap the hero archer projectile with tank rounds
Heyo, give one unit max everything. Except one health. Set them to attack so they can run around and stay alive as long as they can, any unit is up to you.

Drae, I believe with the character customization the fire rate is based on the unit so you should make the crazy archer shoot lasers or heck maybe catapult boulders
