Appreciate the "walk through" as I know that it can be a lot to cover. I acquired a 4.0 '87 Pioneer that someone had started the 3.5" lift process, in which I found a sticker on the leaf spring pack that gave me a lead on what lift they did not complete. My girlfriends non-lifted 4.0 '89 Pioneer will hopefully be near "completion". Biggest part is how does one want to stow gear, what gear works best for each person, and how to keep it all light as possible. My rig will be outfitted differently than hers, but I try to keep everything modular as possible. Kudo's as not using loud background audio tracks, and the lighting is good as well in this content coverage. 😁✌
I appreciate that it! It’s taken me forever to get this thing to a point I like! These shirts are my favorite! The pockets are perfect for the wireless mic and filming 😂
Dangit I did! 😩 I did so much to the jeep I knew I was gonna forget to talk about something and that was it! Did you watch my video on the install of the transmission cooler?
I'm in Phoenix. Currently building my XJ for overlanding. Do you have any recommendations for overlanding groups in the area? I'm brand new to it so I'd like to get some insight from people who know what they're doing. Like you!
You picked a good rig to get into overlanding with! Here’s a few good fb groups for overland XJ’s and my go to az overlanding group! m.facebook.com/groups/1785640395019848/ m.facebook.com/groups/757984061645953/ m.facebook.com/groups/389757288047961/
Awesome. I ordered the same tent earlier this week to go on top of on Runaway RangeRunner. My wife will sleep in the RR and my kid can go "upstairs". I am thinking about ordering the annex to go under it for a changing room. Glad to see yours has held up so well over the past few years. Ours will live in our garage other than when we're using it.
Good call man you guys will love the tent! We’ve thought about getting the annex too but we’ve been fine without it all this time it might be a waste of money for us. The only maintenance we had to do for the tent is more waterproof spray. Garage kept is the best bet when it’s not in use 😎👍
Nice setup, I will be getting a similar tent from overlanding offroad called the forester after the new year, I'm getting it because there local so I can pick it up and save the 200ish that freight usually costs, i also don't have to pay tax if I pay cash they said, which alot of people looking at rtts forget to factor in these costs to the final price. My brother has an xj and don't let anyone tell you it's not a chick magnet his gf loves his
Thank you for watching! We’ve had no issues with bugs at all and so far I’ve had no problems with the tent quality wise. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the mattress comfort. Me and Natalie are side sleepers so it gets uncomfortable with the mattress but we added an inflatable mattress along with it and it’s really comfortable now. If you’re a back or stomach sleeper you would be fine.
I did! It made a difference on the passenger side floor for shorter trips but longer trips it still heated up the floor. The biggest thing that helped was the sound deadener, insulation and vinyl floor. I’m not a fan of exhaust wrap now cause when it gets wet it rusts the exhaust over time
I think it did! and having lighter weight gear and reducing the weight with new front and rear bumpers helped a lot too. The gearing helped a lot with hills too!
Hey nice rig, I have a 96 XJ what you did for the doors in the interior handle or armrest? I removed it on mine and i’m looking for a solution I see you have like a soft handle?
Thanks a ton for watching! You have a good eye! I forgot to go over that lol but you’re right I used a soft handle and put the original screws with a washer through the grommet on the grab handle and tightened it to the door. It’s been like that for a while now with no issues! Here’s a link to the style of grab handle I used www.offroadwarehouse.com/product/grab-handle-102654-102654
Sweet XJ and a beautiful setting for a walk around!
Thank you 😊👍

Wow you've got everything there!
Thank you! 😊👍 it’s enough to keep us happy on the trail. I’m not a fan of having too much gear
Nice set up 👍🏽 I like the shirt I have a few myself 😂
I appreciate that it! It’s taken me forever to get this thing to a point I like! These shirts are my favorite! The pockets are perfect for the wireless mic and filming 😂
Cool stuff! You forgot to go over the transmission cooler though, was really waiting for that!

That’s awesome! It shouldn’t be too heavy for your rig and Natalie loves the jeep! She feels safe when driving it lol

Great video! What GPS unit or software do you use for overlanding?
Thank you! We use Gaia gps usually on my phone 😎👍
Nice setup!! How’s the bug situation? Tent overall looks like great quality but have you had any concerns there?

Our 97 Jeep Cherokee was the best and longest running vehicle in the family. What is your mileage? Great video.
I appreciate it thank you! We’re a few hundred miles over 200k and it’s still running strong
I saw in some of your vids that you wrapped your exhaust did it help keep heat off the floor pans? My passenger side of the floor gets super hot.
I did! It made a difference on the passenger side floor for shorter trips but longer trips it still heated up the floor. The biggest thing that helped was the sound deadener, insulation and vinyl floor. I’m not a fan of exhaust wrap now cause when it gets wet it rusts the exhaust over time
Love the video! What’s your gas mileage like with everything?
I appreciate it thanks for watching!! We average about 12.5 a gallon 😊👍
@@2AOverland that’s not bad at all! Do you think your gearing helped a lot with your mpg?
I think it did! and having lighter weight gear and reducing the weight with new front and rear bumpers helped a lot too. The gearing helped a lot with hills too!
What’s the brand of the fridge
Here’s a link to the fridge with cover 😊👍 thanks for watching!

Tell us about the headlights! :)
I get asked that a lot so I might have to make a video on that 🤔

Too many accessories. Must not like saving money...
Nope. Absolutely hate saving money.
