Love the cooperation between the Dutch and German police
That was nice to see.
Here in Finland and Sweden we also have this mutual legistlation between our police, that they can cross the border if needed.
@@formatique_arschloch whats even nicer to know in some cities in the netherlands where a lot of german tourists go to german police is also on the street with dutch police so that they can support eachother. This also happens vice versa in some german towns
Leuk om te horen dat Julie Nederlandse politie mooi vinden
@@mrduckaduck554 Indeed! We have oktober fest in Sittard and when that event takes place the German police is always walking around with the Dutch police
@Nvm not true, there is not a set distance they have to stop at
The white van video actually showed 3 police forces.
White with red and blue stripes = Dutch Police
Same as above but the rear half of the vehicle is blue = Dutch Military Police (also in the video right after it with the red car)
Gray with blue and yellow stripes = German Police
He crossed the border into Germany during the chase.
That was a nice one! Marechaussee (Original mounted police) is not only military police but also border patrol and guards of the Royal House. (For those who are not known with Dutch forces.)
@@dutchman7623 Actually didn't know they also did border patrol. and you forgot that they also guard airfield Schiphol
@@thehigherman9918 That's a point of entry to the Netherlands, therefor border patrol.
They check the passports, luggage but also freight coming and going.

Hello HXC .
I have no subtitles for you just a bit of an explanation.
14:31 police car on the bridge was NOT allowed to block the van.
15:33 they pass the border with Germany.
15:44 The German police car (light blue/grey/yellow) takes control on German territory.
15:56 the dark blue car belongs to the Dutch Border and military police.
18:01 is the police car that passes on the left of the Dutch highway police (KLPD) with the high-power Volvo recognizable by the single blue flashing light at the rear left.
25:40 BTGV (Dangerous Suspect Technique Approach) .
31:51 the officer reports to the control room that the suspect is lying on the floor in front of him.
31:56 the control room asks the officer if the suspect is injured.
31:59 response from the officer : he is NOT injured YET. haha
thanks for the video HXC .

The military police is not border police but they often do work in border territories. There is no highway police either its just a specialised team for traffic policing but they do much more than that
@@user-ie6jr4bg1w in the netherlands military police (Marechaussee) also has the task to protect the borders (pasport controle on schiphol is done by the Marechaussee)
The difference between Dutch and US police:
US:
1. Apprehending the perpetrator
2. Protecting your own safety
3. Protecting the safety of the public
4. Protecting the safety of the perpetrator
Dutch:
1. Protecting the safety of the public
2. Protecting your own safety

1) Personal safety first (ALLWAYS!)
2) public safety second (ALLWAYS!)
3) perpetrator's safety last....
I'm from the Netherlands. And I'm so glad of that, for many things. I'm blessed, just because my parents 'made' me in this part of the world. 'Police' in other countries are perhaps/sometimes for sure not as civilized as ours. I thank ours for their hard, disciplined and dangerous work. Especially in this difficult time.
exactly! i am so happy to live in this country. I have never felt like I needed to be scared of the police

The police said if they don't stop they have something to hide, which is so true. Dutch police is nice so the idea of them running out a random panic is just not logical, you see how much effort they put in catching you without shooting you. They also often stop chases if the risk to the public is too great, they are weighing the greater good all the time. It makes no sense to catch one guy and them having killed kids or other pedestrians driving crazy.
Dutch police at the criminal " Stop now, don't act like an idiot" not even yelling at him. haha
I loved how calm the police reacted all the time.
@@Angelmndy When was this? The only thing I heard was the bleeping of a suspect's name. One of the officers recognised them.

@31:56 She asked over the radio: Is that person wounded? Over
The cop answered: NOT YET Over. lol
The first video is a sad story. The guy is highly influenced by drugs and was suffering from a psychosis. He did not know what he was doing. The Dutch police has a very different approach in such cases. They are not allowed to shoot at will, and ramming a car off the road is highly exceptional. A more common approach in a high speed pursuit is (instead of the incredibly dangerous pit manouver) boxing the car in, using three police cars and the guide rails only if needed. In this case, they avoided going on the highway at all cost, hence they rammed the car off the road. The same holds for the Ford Focus in the second video.
The first video was all over the Dutch news in 2015, for a whole week. Fortunately, these cases do not occur frequently.
gewoon een terp plaatste een nekschot!! kost minder en je bent weer zo'n niksnut armer, geen meelij gewoon dumpen en klaar ermee.
why sad? drugs...no mercy. Sorry. I am Dutch but I rather see policemen protecting themselves better. I would also say...headshot.

@@monicacarolina6480 Thank goodness you're not a cop.
As a dutch Guy i love to see people react to dutch compilations.
Yeah so it makes your Dutch ass satisfied to get those Americans the attention tho
The chase with the white van went into Germany. These kind of cooperations are great. In the US they would have had to stop at the state line…
Here in principle they also have to stop at the state line. However, there is a sort of buffer zone of like 30km/20 miles in which the pursuit can be continued.
At 30:00 they started to inform the belgian police
Also the beeping noise is a police sign in the car blinking saying stop police
Watched many of these. The Dutch cops are effective and they hardly ever fire a shot. No matter how annoying, challenging or dangerous the offenders are.
Annoying? You can't shot people because they're annoying 😶
Annoying? You can't shoot people because they're annoying 😶
Edit: you adding annoying made it sound like in some places it would be okay to shoot an annoying person.
But if they use a gun they would be way faster and more effective

At the one where you said why doesn't he put his car sideways on the bridge, because it's too dangerous for the officers
Also they ended up in germany
He thought he could escape to a different country but the dutch police had already informed the german police and when they joined the chase they became the chase leaders cuz it's their turf they know the way
The officers should have left their car on the bridge, weapons out and hot, ready to blast that idiot out of his van. That chase took much too long. It should have ended right there on that bridge.
@@bonsai67 in the Netherlands we don't just shoot people like in america, we try anything else before that and police equipment is expansive
@@Lt_Chloe Well, as you can see in the videos on many occassions the perps don't give a ratt's ass about the safety of the other people in traffic. Police equipment may be expensive but it is nothing compared to a life of an innocent bystander. The very first thing for the police to do is to stop the criminal as fast as possible, as not being led around on a wild goose chase. If it takes a bullet then so be it.
@@bonsai67 Dutch (and most Western european) policy officers are abided by very strict firearms usage laws. There are basicly only 2 situations which determine if an officer is allowed to use his/her firearm: 1) If the suspect or suspects are armed aswell and are pointing their weapons at the general public or officers (and thus there is a clear risk of them injuring or killing someone or 2) If the officer is in such a threathening situation where using his/her firearm is the only way to save their lives (or save them from severe injuries).
In all cases an investigation is started when an officer uses his/her firearm. That is why the weaponstick (or baton) is still used aswell as pepperspray + tazers.
In this video the men in the black range rover were marked as armed proffesional criminals, members of the public where chased away from the scene as to not get harmed.
I agree though, there are alot of criminals minor or big who deserve a bullet for putting people in danger, alas the Netherlands is a forgiving country (by lack of better words) and criminals (nearly) always get a change to better themselfs.

The Dutch police tries to avoid injuring the perpetrator at all costs, sometimes to the point of annoying.
31:55 "The suspect is lying on the ground", "confirm, the suspect is lying on the ground, injured? ". "the suspect is not injured ...... yet'" (LOL)
"Here, put the cuffs on by yourself. I have the gun, so I don't care."
Nice way to keep your hands free for if he does something expected. Good creative thinking.
First priority is your own safety, especially if you're all by yourself.
These were not 'traffic stops' but criminals on the run, and a complete madman going rampage.
Not one was killed for as far as I remember. Not even the one that started rolling through the fields in his car.
Dutch police do everything to catch them alive and bring them to court. Keeping in mind the safety of other road users.
I like the reaction of the policeman when one of the criminals tried to escape by going to the Belgian border, 'That is not going to happen!' and he stopped him in time. Though there is good cooperation with Belgium, they sometimes are a little slow to react and escaping is possible.
This in contrast to Germany, fleeing over the German border does always end bad, no pardon over there! Though they never shoot at criminals, they are bulldogs that wont let go until they get them in cuffs.
@dutchman7623 okay we get it your a Dutch man writing this whole crap up in English who cares
The long drive around 14:49 actually is in my region lol. This was major news. But you said 'why didnt they block his car on the bridge': a few secs later the policeman says to his partner that they were not allowed to. Probably because it was way too risky for the police officers to get into an accident..
30:33 Imagine exiting a blind corner at roughly 100km/h (60mph) and then having to squeeze your car through a gap like that. Some serious driving skills there.
Yeah they were driving 170kmph (105mph) before that on roads that barely supports 2 cars next to eachother, tree line on one side and probably ditches (slootjes) on both sides knowing the netherlands crazy stuff.
23:20 the chase with the range rover was a crazy story ! the car was impounded by police and driver arrested ,the family of the arrested suspect went to the police garage were the car was parked and stole it, drove trough a fence and fled the police garage
As you saw around the 25:10 mark the cops are only allowed to shoot here after shooting a warning round into the air. Never immediately at the suspect in a situation like this. If a suspect does get shot at, it’s always aimed at the legs.
19:56 you missed something funny (due to translation), they wanted to pull over the black/blue car .... and the white car accelerated away.
Thoroughly enjoy these types of reactions. Like you said, it’s a fun thing to watch people in action 😊❤️. Also seriously don’t understand why people think running from the police is smart. You’ll undoubtedly make it ten times worse 🤣
For some like the first one they weren’t in the right mind.. first one was 100% under influence.. t
What makes me angry! The Dutch police is so professional but still, there are always people who will criticize them. Please watch them how they handled Turkish riots over here.👍🏽. Yes they also make mistakes but we should support them 🧡👍🏽

These cops are amazing, very disciplined and great drivers! 30:00 went over a narrow countryway with 107 mph in order to stay with the escaping vehicle until the helicopter could take it over. Also there were multiple cases in this video where drivers are fleeing towards the border of the country thinking that they can escape but instead the police notify the police from the other country in order to help them.

The white van went into Germany. So the German police is leading. (about 16:00 min in the video) Another tidbit of info. GelreNieuws. If anything starts with Gelre or so, it refers to the province Gelderland. (So it indicates a certain geographic location :D )

The chase in the city with the black Jeep was in Rotterdam, a few years ago. Was, as I recall, something with drugs. And yes, the police did some shooting, this time more as a warning.
It was because they had done an armed robbery earlier and they found weapons inside the car after it was towed away for examination.
Its fun watching videos of people reacting to dutch videos not understanding them
Thank you for this reaction - Jurian
To me police has always been a force of protection. I've had multiple times when I got pulled over, but it was always in relation to random check, nothing bad ever came of it.
When Dutch police resort to pulling a weapon you just know you're in it deep. They don't pull it for nothing. Most officers don't pull their weapons in a career of 30+ years.
So from 9:57 is a video where the police tried to box the suspect in. The suspect went to the right, hit the police car with his right rear wheel and loses control. A cop is yelling over the radio he's on the train tracks. Then someone says calm: "Attention: the vehicle is upside down in the water." While the officers in the filming car are saying: "He is death, he is death."
The clip at 23:30 is from a chase of a car/suspect that was stolen from a police depot after the vehicle was seized in suspicion of drug trafficking. The mere fact they took the risk of regaining a vehicle from such a location meant they were worried the stakes were very high for the criminals involved and more force was used to apprehend the suspect as a result.
It probably is one of the wildest chases apart from one at the 19th of May in 2021 in which a precious metal transport was raided and the criminals responsible were followed into farmland under a massive amount of gunfire, which killed one of them. (And "massive amount of gunfire" is something I say as a Dutch person who never saw a police officer draw their gun in real life, let alone use it).
i love our cooperation with the German police
fun fact when you see the different painted cars after this point he passed the border between the Netherlands and germany thats why they looked different
Nice to see some videos from my own country at your channel :)
That's really the first time ever I saw Dutch police push a car off the road. Normally they don't do that because of other traffic. You can see the car almost hit another car after being pushed. But this guy is completely nuts, probably high on something. The idiot damaged several cars, police cars and went through a terras. I hope he's still in jail. (first one in the video I mean)
That guy was high on drugs and was suffering from a psychosis. He had no idea what he was doing.
2:33 I was waiting for your reaction on how things would be handled in te USA, they are so soft here in the Netherlands.
Lmao, lets not take the USa as an example :')
Your right. In the wild west they can shoot who and whatever they want and most of the time get away with it.
In the Netherlands there are some explicit laws innplace for these kind of police actions.
If an officer only pulls his gun he is prone to some serious investigation.
Same for car chases. If something happened it becomes the responsibility and blame for the police.
Indeed, in the wild west it doesn't matter if you or the chaser runs over some kids or causing serious accidents. It's always the perpetrator at fault.
In NL, if they could have avoid such collision, it's by default the police to blame.
Having said that.
Not every Tom, Dick or Harry can apply for a job at the police.
Some serious background as education is needed before they hand you over a gun and make arrests.
It's more complicated, but at the end less innocent victims.
Ah well, I guess if you like your good o'l westerns, it's probably boring.
Just saying...
The police man has a real good visical condition. Greetings, Roelof
I love this content man
Hey the @highly combustible reacts I love how you react to this kind of videos
I enjoyed this!
Yooo i'm actually from Vreeswijk the village the carchase went through. It's completely surreal to see recordings of the car chase on this channel! It was hot news around here for a while that a carchase literally went through Vreeswijk. However, somewhere down the line we had a handgrenade found next to a elementary school so that became the next big news. Literally missed out on the video footage however and never saw it before hahaha, funny to find it on your channel.

Whenever they take a chase offroad here in the netherlands its more scary than the regular busy roads. Theres kids, old peoples normal peoples biking or walking their dog in the small forest areas, They all use this one tiny road..

34:15 Unless they shoot you dead on the spot.
just a mention.
the police force in the Netherlands had a lot of restrictions to hold on. some of them are so strict that if they shoot someone in the leg while their own life’s are not in danger. they are the one going to get charged for it. 2:35
@23:50 "suspect turns left towards the prison" ... Yup that's where he's going
26:54 Especially here in the Netherlands, it doesn't happen often and usually they are warning shots first.
3:00 “in the chaos of the moment another police car drives itself stuck on a bridge”
4:22 I was laughing out loud as I saw the car going back to the right. That was almost slapstick 😂😂😂 In any other country that driver wouldve been in cuffs hours ago.
The number one rule police learn during their 2 years training in the Netherlands is de-escalation through verbal communication, only when the life of an officer or the life of a civlian is in danger warning shots may be fired (heard around 23 mninutes with the range rover) and at the very very end directed bullets to knees are allowed. Shoot to kill is extremely rare, running suspects are more frequently stopped by dogs. Love the reaction videos man, always cool to see people interested in our little country! In 2021 only 2 suspects have been shot dead on purpose and 19 times police have shot aimed at a suspects knees. (source: dutch police crime report statistics)

Our police is very professional. I'm waiting till Police vlogger Jan Willem sees your video's
Many years ago, I visited the justice court in Alkmaar.
I didn't know who would be on trial that day because I was going to do just a simple report for my Journalism Class.
Just before the defendant was brought in, a few security officers examined the court room, then they radioed in the OK to bring in the man.
Turns out the defendant was Okan O.'s getaway driver.
The two were chased by police after a robbery. Okan shot at the police car through the back window but missed.
Just after the chase entered the city, another motorcycle cop opened fire on the fleeing car. The two other chasing police officers also opened fire.
Okan O. and his driver were apprehended but sadly a bystander was seriously injured.
She was also testifying in court that day, fortunately in much better shape again.
Okan died of liver disease in prison. He never admitted any guilt in another case,
the disappearance of his 19-year old girlfriend and their 1-year old daughter.
Their bodies were found buried in the dunes in 2002, after Okan's younger brother admitted he had helped his brother bury the bodies.
The first clip is at walking distance from my home, pretty cool to see this being watched by people around the world. about what they are saying for commentary on the chase:
The guy in the Volkswagen refused to pull over for the unmarked police car you see the footage from. After this they chase them till the highway on ramp at a place called Vianen. Here he does stop eventually and the police have to use force to get the suspect out of the car.
"Politie op je hielen" is a great Dutch program to see video's like this. It's not just from the Netherlands though, mostly from Russia if I remember correctly. Still would recommend!
it is nice to see how others react to the Dutch police and how they act. totally different from how it is done in America. I am also from the Netherlands and for us it is sometimes an adrenalin kick to see these videos. 💪🏼

In the first video, the cops wanted to open fire, but the cop said "as I hold my hand on my holster, ready to grab and use my Walter, I realized there where women and children at the sidewalk, so abruptly let go of my holster"
What you might have missed at the chase with the white transporter was that the chase started in the netherlands but ended in germany and a german police car joined the chase.
Its different in europe than in the usa about how far the police can follow you. We have open borders and almost all countries have agreements with each other that allows the police to cross the border and keep chasing the suspect.
Not like in the USA where you are "safe" if you manage to cross the border to mexico or canada and often the sheriff or the state police arendt allowed to cross the border to another US state.
Im living in germany right at the border to france and it happens every couple weeks that a french guy is running from the police to germany and is wondering that the french police keeps chasing him and is putting up road blockades in germany. Or vice versa.
You can try to run away from the german police over to france. They will chase you through france and spain down to portugal. They dont give a shit about borders.
Some/most of these fragments are from the programme "Wegmisbruikers" ("road abusers"). I find it a bit too much aimed at sensation. "Blik op de weg" ("view/sheet metal on the road" - the word "blik" has both meanings in Dutch) was more neutrally presented, which I liked better.
edit: actually I just watched a "Blik op de weg" fragment. And it's kind of boring. ;)
I was walking home one day in Almere (Netherlands) and saw a cop car in the middle of the road, and a cop lying on his back by the drivers door which was open , reloading his firearm. I thought that's odd, looked further up the street and saw a guy in a car pointing a gun in our direction which he then fired three shots from. I was on the floor like a flash, then the cop got in his car and the chase continued. It was awesome to see.
you gotta love that the german police backs up the dutch police when they drive into germany.
Tha "Grapler" is the newest weapon to stop drivers in the U.S.
That black SUV who rammed a car of the road is most probably a highly trained operator for the dsi who was there by accident. They have armoured cars, always a expensive bmw/Merc/Audi. I don't know if you have ever done a video on the dsi but you really should
"Discipline" "In America they would shoot you"
Well, we live by the ideals "Is a dozen chairs and some tables, a couple scratches to a car, worth killing someone over?"
He may be a threat, but to property mostly, and the police know that unless it's some murderer (and even then the chances of him fighting instead of running or simply surrendering is so minuscule they don't feel the need to shoot first ask later) he will try to limit damages to others as much as possible (we like to joke here that when someone actively resist arrest and fights the police, or even just starts shooting we say "Is he insane? Is this America?). Also explains why for what he did here they would give him house arrest and disqualify him from ever driving again, and not the 5 something year sentences you like to toss around over there.
The chase with the Volkswagen when you asked why he didn't shoot him. The police officers weren't allowed to shoot him because he wasn't an immediate life threat to his surroundings. An other factor was to not cause a trauma for the mother and daughter sitting in the grey BMW. They saw everything that happened. Shooting would give them a huge trauma.
The first video was in my neighbor hometown, the guy was in a psychose. The chase went on for like 30 minutes. Just for some context😉. One of the sickest chasings ever imo! Keep it up, much love from The Netherlands 🇳🇱 keep it up, peace ✌🏽

One thing in the Netherlands is, that we REALLY do not like police here. But we also respect them for being trained with trigger dicipline.
Yes, Dutch police do have actual guns, but they barely use them. The times they did use their guns, it hit the news and alot of court cases get opened by that.
