The Revotec electric fan is meant to be in lieu of the mechanical fan so surely you should remove it before setting the cut-in/cut-out temperature on the Revotec temperature controller?

      Please read Correction
The Revotec fan can be used as a replacement or supplementary item, depending on your needs (hot country etc) or how much work you want to undertake. Cut in and cut out would therefore be set to your own requirements also.

      Correction:
      Revotec Electric Fan Kit
It is the intention that the mechanical fan is removed during the installation of the Revotec electric fan kit. This fitting video does not contain this as the vehicle shown is a sample car on display in our showroom.
By comparison the electric has a vastly improved flow rate over the original mechanical fan (left in situ the mechanical fan would effectively act as a barrier as it's simply not capable of keeping up).
It's important to remember that electric fan kits will only benefit a healthy vehicle and aren't to be treated as a cure for overheating. Ensure that the water pump is in the best of health and that the system is free from blockages/debris. On the Triumph 4/6 cylinder engines any deposits in the cooling system are usually gathered in the waterways towards the rear of the cylinder block and are difficult to clear without disassembly of the engine.
      Apologies for any confusion.

@@RimmerBrosTV That does not appear to be correct; you should not be using two fans. Each fan is going to have different speeds and flow rates, using two fans will cause a pulse between the two fans which will inhibit air flow through the radiator, not enhance it and will not provide additional cooling in hot weather. Two fans will I suggest cause the car to run hotter, not cooler.
