Rhett’s coffee shop thing is 100% accurate, and it’s not just guys doing it. Most people I know (including myself) who use dating apps have a low-commitment first meeting to see what the vibe is.
My favorite thing about this episode is that my actual first date with my husband was jeans and a shirt, we drove our own cars to the botanical gardens for a walk and then Olive Garden. 😂

My first date with my now husband of 16 years was..... movie then dinner. That way we didn't go through a meal, not vibe and then suffer through a movie, yet could have the movie to break the ice at dinner as starter conversation.

This is my favorite kind of More. It's 2 lifelong friends talking.
My first date with my boyfriend of 5 years was a coffee date, but there was a park down the street, so we grabbed our drinks and headed over there to chat. As an qnxious, but very chatty person, dates like that were always my choice. Still public, but we had plenty of space away from people and very few distractions.
Yeah, I feel like coffee date is a pretty safe option. (But I also love coffee shops)

How’s the walkability in California if you don’t drive?
In my experience not great, at least not in Los Angeles. It’s an extremely sprawling city. So, unless everything you’re doing that day is right on top of each other (like at the beach or around the Walk of Fame) you’re going to need to drive or order a car to drive you.

Do people go on dates at Disney if they live close? That seems more "family trip" than any date, not to mention first date.
Yep! One of my favorite first dates was at Disneyland. It was a spontaneous decision but he worked there so was able to get us in for free. The “snoap” made it pretty romantic while watching fireworks

I’d wear $2 fit, get drinks, then after we’re buzzed, we take the scooters through the city and get Taco Bell, that’s such a fun date. For only $8 🤷🏽♂️
