Read both the Count of Monte Cristo and Dune this year. Both great books. Count is a big book and it was a different experience to be with a book for so long.

Count is fantastic, but yes. So long. It can be very enjoyable to spend a lot of time with one story like that though.
      Thanks for watching!

I gotta read some more classics like Count of Monte Cristo! Mistborn bk 1 will always hold a special place in my heart too as the book that got me back into fantasy as an adult. Great vid series!

I love classics, but you really do have to read enough to know which ones fit your tastes.

Lots of greats here and stuff not a lot of people talk about. Very cool to hear about your formative series

Yes! It’s kind of cool having not read all the things that everyone else has, because it allows my list to be a bit different. I know there’s things that will change as I continue, but for now, I’m happy with this list.

Final Empire! Gawain and the Green Knight! Three Musketeers! Monte Cristo! And, of course, Tolkien at the summit! What a great list here my friend! Have you not read The Silmarillion?

Well done series of videos. Though I did DNF Mistborn. But I did love Dune and LOTR.

Fair enough. Not every book is for everyone. Mistborn just works for me.
      Glad you enjoyed the series.

I haven't read Dune or the 3 musketeers despite having copies even if they're in storage currently. The top two here are absolutely justified even though I think LOTR will always beat out The Hobbit to me. I am rereading the Hobbit though, to my children so slowly but I need the reread ya know. Great top 10 and great list overall!

Like I said, LOTR and The Hobbit are always neck and neck for me. Often times the more epic, adult storytelling of LOTR is more what I want. But sometimes the comfort of The Hobbit is better. Just depends. Not sure if you’d like Dune or 3 Musketeers, but I’d still say give them a try. You very well might.

I enjoyed watching, but some of those I just couldn't continue. Mistborn seemed a bit too pretentious. I put it down after like 150 pages. Should I not have?

Eh, if a book isn’t working for you, I’m never going to tell you to force yourself through it. That’s the great thing about reading though, we can all have out own opinions, and enjoy different books.
