Hands down most underrated artist of all time. To be honest I think he never got his due because his music is not over sexualized. The Man is incredibly talented.
I agree as well. Ryan is 1 of the Greatest Underrated & most talented Showman type Superstars of All time... Transition is forever a classic & timeless Album...
The most beautiful thing ab his music personally is the fact that it's not over sexual at all. Like his talent is amazing and to compose bop after bop that has very little or at all any sex talk is just awesome imo
He was sabotaged and black balled by P Diddy over Cassie (the singer). She was Ryan’s girlfriend first, then she left to be with Diddy, overlapping her relationship with Ryan. They began “feuding” and P Diddy had him black balled and his laptop with all of his new projects, production, beats, lyrics etc was mysteriously “stolen” but we think it was Diddy. You’d be amazed at how many of y’all favorite artists/producers had a hand in ruining another artist/producer’s career. He even offered to pay a million dollars to anyone who could find that laptop and return it to him but no one came forward with it. It discouraged him so badly that he basically stopped doing music for a while. It’s so sad. I absolutely love Ryan Leslie and I think it’s so unfair what happened to him. He had such classy talent and to be honest, if he made a comeback today, I’ll buy his album and attend a show! I’ll always be a fan🫶🏽💜
I can't believe this was ten years ago! I still remember discovering Ryan's music around this time. Genius of a man released two albums in one year! You go, Ryan! They can't keep you in a box!
I remember hearing this song on Steve Harvey's morning radio show as I was going to class, and was wondering who this guy was! I never heard it played on the radio ever again, but thanks to my mom, she had his albums and I absolutely fell in love with his music.
I was 13 years old when this song came out, I’ve been in love w his music since he composed Addiction & showed how he did it. I’m now 25, never seen him live and I would still love to 😩❤️
i just saw him perform tonight. he is amazing and an incredible artist. he does not need people to tell him he is great at what he does--because he believes it and knows it for himself---and that is a TRUE artist. Keep doing you Ryan...
If all of you are wondering where his musical talent comes from it was because he was a graduate from Harvard at the age of 19. He was a prodigy. Still is.
I really think that he is one of the best emerging talents out there. Well done Ryan. The album Transition is off the chain! I haven't heard an album with all the songs being great in such a long time.
✌ Peace & respect to Ryan Leslie sharing his spirit's rich sounds of heartfelt 🎶 singing 🎶 voice and his spirit's talent to mimick the art of the made-up words of sign language of communications in ways that some females and males communicate or can relate to by someway.
He still makes music! Since now he's an independent artist he sells his music through his own private website. Hit me up if you wanna know his website.
lmao..but that's what I like about him, that he's doing what he feels like doing, his own thing..every single bit of everything is usually choreographed nowadays. I have just seen this video/person for the first time and LOVE his drama- the operative word being "his", you can see it's unique and honest and not too contrived (backed-up by proper talent)
I was always a fan of Diamond Girl, but I remember hearing this song on So You Think You Can Dance. I love the song, I actually like the edit that they did on the show better. But I really like the chord progression that sounds like bells in the pre chorus before he says, "you're not my girl."
First heard this on the radio during a bus ride home in middle school in 2009. Went home and immediately typed in the lyrics and became engulfed in the world of Ryan Leslie's music. My dad thought he was that "Drake guy" lol (RIP dad), only if he would've been as big as him today. Gonna listen to his albums again... excluding Black Mozart.... he lost me with that one.
I get so fucking happy discovering the unknown artists always the mainstreams who take over.. Glad i found this dude! :D but i did have one song of him but didn't know of him. Damn hes underrated indeed i love his songs they got sweet beats :)
OMG I can't believe I haven't heard about this guy until today. This is really good music. It has a nice rhythm and harmony to it! LOVE IT! Ryan Leslie > Trey Sonz

If all of you are wondering where his musical talent comes from it was because he was a graduate from Harvard at the age of 19. He was a prodigy. Still is.
Harvard doesn't give, teach or endow you with his level of natural talent.
@@ladyluck7481 natural talent doesn’t exist, it’s practice
@@Fillo. lies
@@alethiamillner5603 as an artist myself, i wasn't born trained and i had to work my 4ss off to get where i am

How does this not have more views! 2021🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I Love how he produce's all his music himself and then sings over it , Pure Artist !

I am a death metal fan and I don't usually like R&B, but this is what R&B should sound like. I never had such a fresh feel outta this music.
