- It’s a 4th of July weekend and we decided to get up the mountains and camp at beautiful Bowman Lake area. Some of the best spots around Bowman lake were taken so we drove up to sawmill lake and found a great camping spot for our big group to spend the weekend by the water and just relax

Vas,this is where you shine! Stick with the Sierra's, it's your backyard. Really enjoyed the family camping trip mixed with a little offroading, just beautiful and a joy to see kids having fun!
Of course it's crowded. Social media has ruined Bowman lake , sawmill and meadow lake. We've have camped there for yrs with our children. The 4 runners coming in destroying the meadows and putting there showers in the water with the soaps polluting the water ect. Social media is one of the worst things. It will never be what it once was.
I was there this past Monday and Tuesday. It was a very nice trip. Awesome video.

I went to this lake in fall of 2021. Haven't been back since.. but need to before summer is over! I remember seeing the waterfall from the side of the lake you camped at (I think we parked in that very spot for awhile) and thinking damn I need to kayak over there! Now I really want to! I've thought about camping at one of the campgrounds in nearby Washington and just taking day trips up to the lakes. So many trails up there!
I love how kids can just "pass out" on the roughest of trails... 😉
It rocks them to sleep on trails and you have great time while they sleep 😂
You missed the all best stuff right there man! Like the pool half way down the waterfall and the other 100 foot undercut waterfall with a huge cavern behind it.

Love this, I would love to join a outing soon. Been out here and loved Lake Bowman. I do plan to camp sometime and would love to do it with a group of people. I am in Auburn, so not far from a lot of great sites.

was just up there at sawmill in my xj a few weeks ago, it was packed but still bieutiful as ever!!
I tried to get to Woods lake by kirkwood last weekend 7-15 and there was too much snow on the road for me to get to the lake ha ha ha
I really need to get all of my skid plates so I can join the crew!!!!!

Great video! Thanks! I’m taking my sons up to Sawmill next week! Back in the 80’s and 90’s there used to be a stream crossing on the way to Sawmill at the upper end of Bowman after the intersection of the Jackson Meadows road. Is that stream crossing still there? If so how deep was it? I’ll be in a Tacoma 4wd
No more creek crossings they build bridges now, as you seen stock full size trucks can get to bowman lake and Sawmill lake with ease

Man i wish i could take my son on a trip with you guys, my kinda people. Just took my son to Bowman like two months ago. Love that area, i left a note on the Dodge ram windshield in home Depot parking lot last year love your videos. Im in Sacramento hit me up for a trip just let me know were you'll be it would make my year!!
We have a 1998 XJ with 2 car seats, what’s a good way to keep them in secure ? Since we don’t have any attachments besides the seatbelt it’s hard to get it really secured. Let me know thank you ❤ Watching from Sacramento!!
i would Install Few eye bolts under the lower seat and use Car Seat hooks to secure it.
