I am going to use this idea in Tunisia....to make foot-paths, outdoor toilets, walls, benches, etc. Instead of melting the plastic, mixing with sand, etc. this idea is so simple. I will build shelters for farm animals. Start with safe projects before proceeding to building dwellings for humans. Just collecting PET bottles will bring about tens of thousands of bottles. Plus no need to clean inside as we are stuffing it with soil or sand. Brilliant idea.
has anyone ever thought about how they do the wiring of the house? or how do they set up the pipes inside the wall? for instance, the pipes for toilet, bathroom, kitchen and etc etc??
excellent job, but there is so much plastic waste to use and so many people who won't use it , yet . Maybe when things are really desperate with the global waste .
This is a great idea. Are blueprints available and could concrete be crushed and used also instead of dirt? Could greatly benefit those suffering in Haiti. We have tons of water bottles in America that could be sent there to provide earthquake proof housing. Also could one build down deeper to provide shelter from hurricanes?
The entire point of building with an Ecobrick is to RECYCLE used bottles and fill/compact them with trash, not to go and buy new plastic bottles creating more pollution to the environment at the factory level, and look at all the packaging, not to mention gas used to transport the bottles.
Yes, you need to find the same size ( in Europe it was very difficult when we have built street furniture. facebook.com/pg/PetPuffTeam/photos/?tab=album&album_id=656942061110456 )
Thank you. I am designing one now in Central America. I want to make one 20 feet high with two floors. Will the mud/dirt still work for that height? Or should I use cement?
Use bicycle water bottles and water stores to fill 3-5 gallon water bottles. Give up plastic. Cut up all your waste in plastic into small pieces. That waste is killing the ocean and land creatures.
I would definitely start a project in Jamaica. Love the idea
Did you start it?
No I didn't, still working on acquiring capital. I will definitely do so within the coming year
water proof, fire proof and BEAUTIFUL
Brilliant! Id, love to build one here in New Zealand.❤️
Great Idea!! I love Nigeria! I love the Nigerian People!
Nice job Africa love what you're doing love it keep it up keep being creative and God bless you

The best, if you use rubbish inside, of course just the dry ones.

There are drilling machines that can take care of these your questions
Amazing to see you use waste to help these communities lovely video 🤗
the hause looks so beautiful.this is nice
Good idea for areas that don't have building codes.

It would be nice don't have any plastic bottles, but there is a lot, too much....
Nice creative artist
Oooo wow 👏👏👏👏

Brilliant!
I love to try such a project in Marsabit Kenya..what if I use Loam soil..adding loam soil into the bottle instead of sand??.
I love this.

What is the temperature inside the house compared to the outside of the house? It will be good if it is cooler!
Very creative.
How do I get in touch with these guys?
everything proof!!
Very good. But, Where is the steel?
This is brilliant
nice
Can you put electricity in such a house and how??
1 m² = 100 bottles
50 m² house = 5000 bottles
Nigeria has waste everywhere. It’s such a big problem that they’ll find no shortage of bottles
Do all the bottles have to be the same size when fitting them in rows?

Hi! How did your project turned out?
Is there any specific reason for the way the bottles are facing in your project? Can we rotate them in order to minimize the thickness of the wall?
In the usa they wouldnt allow this but maybe a garage or barn
The Maasai people in the village could use your help.
I LIKE IT!
Nagyon ötletes!
A Nigerian engineer invented this about 11 years ago. His name is Yahaya Ahmed

What kind of foundation do these need
hi all depends how is the ground were you like to build if you are not an expert ask the people around you how they have done the foundation
He said he lays cement and then they build on top of it
Eu poderia encher as garrafas de água? Pois tenho em abundância. Obrigado!
I don’t know about fire proof? Isn’t plastic flammable? Just curious, does anyone-know?
No,plastic is made up of vibranium from wakanda which requires 7000 degree C° to melt
If the plastic is sealed off with another layer of concrete then it WOULD be be fireproof... snarky @$$ Lakha comments aside...
And also it contains sand
Just teach westeras to not use plastic bottles . Instead use tap water 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You are right, but not in Africa :(
