- Andy Petro had a near-death experience 2 days before graduating high school 68 years ago, and today he still remembers what happened almost word for word. During his NDE experience he saw his future and other past lives.
What is an NDE?
A near-death experience (NDE) is typically a profound, life changing, intensely emotional experience that usually occurs during a clinical crisis and has common characteristics and aftereffects. It is not a dream, hallucination, or mental illness (Greyson, 1983). There are no predictive variables to identify who will have an NDE. They happen to people of all ages, religions, socio-economic groups, cultures, educational backgrounds, and belief systems. They occur under a variety of circumstances such as accidents, near-drownings, illnesses, combat, surgical procedures, and childbirth. Following an NDE, experiencers (NDErs) often display some common aftereffects. Research has established a set of common NDE characteristics and long-term aftereffects. Theories used to explain near-death experiences in purely physical terms have been proven inadequate by NDE researchers and others.

Please start asking about free will because if there was any he wouldn't have come back. I don't trust that light they talk about it sends you back evidently from Perfection as they describe from sth MORE real to this pitty party. Then they come up with excuses for why: experience they say. Perfection is THAT PERFECT. What would it need these pittyful experience? It's perfect right or is it not? Makes no sense. What it does sound like is Stockholm syndrome!.please ask these questions.

My dad's brother drowned at age 9 at our family reunion in 1951. Love❤ this nde. I know my uncle Paul experienced this. ❤ I had a vision of my late dad in Heaven so real and vivid in my sleep state he died 2016 age 82 and he was so young in heaven maybe age 25 or 30. Walking smiling and I saw he was living his new life there happy. It was quick for when my conscience realized it was my dad I woke up.

I was chatting with a friend who knows I'm spiritual. He said "Can you explain your doctrine, what you believe?" I said I started meditating about 10 years ago just to deal with the pressures of my job and through meditation discovered the creator. Wow when my mother was between worlds she held my hand and said Lucy I recognized the light of the holyspirit. She lived with me and my husband. I loved her so much that was my gift that I promised was to take care of her she died at 103yrs of age oct 15 2021 I always asked god for my mother to die in my arms and she did. I had a NDE in my sleep, something left my body and I could see my dead body on the bed and like this man said it was a wonderful experience, I didn't want to return, unfortunately I woke up and discovered that it had been a dream, most peaceful experience I ever had, since then I am not afraid to die.

What you had is called a psychic phenomena.
You can study it and learn how to get into a vibration state of energy and do it consciously.

Yes... (Nodding the whole time as I listen). When you experience the light you have complete knowing and understanding. All is revealed and understood in its perfection and all consciousness is accessible; you realize no memory or moment of human experience is ever lost/forgotten or insignificant. When you're in physical form you have to forget temporarily in order to exist in this world in your role...but the feeling the light imprints never leaves, it opens a door in your consciousness. How do you know you knew everything if you forgot? You just do... and it's the truest knowledge you will ever know and it's completely unshakeable.

Andy, you’re saying your truths. I really relate to you. You and mum are the same age and I feel so privileged to know you.
I can really identify with Andy because we both graduated from high school in 1955, and our generation is happily on the way out, or up, back to where we came from. I haven't had an NDE like Andy, but I've been fascinated by it since I first read Life After Life back in the '60s, and it was real to me because NDE's are consistent with my faith called Baha'i. Andy says that he researched all the major religions in his effort to understand what had happened to him, but Baha'i is not one of those ancient religions with a long history. It began in 1844 and there are only about 8 million followers. It has a short history but a long future with its progressive teachings of the oneness of mankind, gender equality, oneness of religion, the spiritual evolution of mankind which will unite the planet into one homeland where warfare and hatred will disappear through an understanding that we're all one and that love should be planted into our hearts.
I think that when Andy says that he doesn't care about what's happening in the world, I think that he probably means that it's pointless for him to be concerned by a condition he can't change. But what he is doing with his spreading the good news that life continues after the death of the body, our costume while in this world, is doing something great. The real enemy of mankind is materialism and a belief that material things are all that's real. What's actually important and real are our relationships with one another, i.e. love, gaining knowledge, i.e. science, creating beauty in this world through the arts.
I like your perspective about observing the class of 1955 going back up where it and all generations past and future came from.

I’ve been living on earth and while some say “it’s kind of fun sometimes,” I don’t see living on earth as fun at all and cant wait until it’s my time to go. 💔I lost too many loved ones. Finding it hard to function. Want to leave EARLY.
I’ve heard that from a lot of people. Even though I’ve had some difficult times, for the most part I have enjoyed it. But there are so many changes now in the world and in my country it won’t bother me to go home. I worry about my children and grandchildren and am afraid there might be terrible times ahead for them.
I was attacked in 1992 and I was hit across my face with a scaffold pole after defending a young girl serving in a petrol station by two guys threatening her with rape.
I stood at the counter never said a word looked at them … and ended up being almost killed by them if it was not for many factors. But while I was unconscious I was aware of the fuss over me by staff and paramedics… but I remember looking at them from above in a golden light. And being asked do I want to go or go back to the pain … I was 21 I went back ❤

Hi Sergei you asked Andy why there’s so much hatred in the world my opinion is because we are controlling our bodies and beliefs thru our brain and human form experience. Some of us feel like things ain’t fair in life and act out our frustrations ,we learn to hate others by the way they make us feel. We have all these human emotions like hate love jealousy greed lust etc controlled in our brain and not in our spirit Our true self is surviving in these bodies having a personal experience When we die we leave this body and brain behind, our spirit is then free to return to the beautiful oneness of unconditional love and beauty. He didn’t care about anyone he knew. Those of us left behind need to understand this because when our loved one pass, they are happy and we need to go on.
He met the devil. His NDE is a LIE, and this man came back with the idea that there is no judgment. But the Bible says, "We die once and then the judgment.
This man was probably in Hell so God pushed him back to stay here until he learned the truth about Jesus paying for his Sin and his need for a Savior.

My question is, can you remember and replicate that same feeling of profound love that you experienced or does the memory and the feeling fade over time?

have difficulty with the nde's that say we chose our life before we were born.Nobody would choose my life.I lost my only child @28 years old among other negatives and hardships. Of course I have had personal growth and positve experiences,but that one thing whenI had been a planner my wholelife,I did not plan this and 21 yrs later I can't believe God wants me to suffer like this.I still believe,I can't give up on God.
I think that's a very human way to look at things which obviously makes sense because we're having a human experience. But from the perspective of a high-vibrational, eternal entity or being, 70 or 80 years of low vibrational experience wouldn't seem very long or hard, relatively speaking. Nothing worse than a parent losing a child. I lost my sister to suicide and it hurt my mother SO MUCH. But if you try to imagine yourself as an eternal soul that needs experience to grow and learn, then there's really no better way to learn than experience... and especially painful experience. I hope this doesn't sound like I'm devaluing your experience of losing a child, and this is just my opinion. This experience on Earth may be the hardest, yet most gainful experience an entity can incarnate and experience. But who knows...

Who would even want to experience that? And then have your memories wiped away again? Sounds like an evil creator and a soul trap! How about we do the opposite of what Andy says in this video? He couldn’t even answer the question. “I knew the answer of why there’s so much suffering here when I was there but then I forgot.” Why not remain sovereign and not become one with everything when we are individual spirits? I didn’t have an NDE or experience the light but I had a magical ayahuasca experience. In one of them I met pacia mama, “The” nature spirit and as I was looking around me in astonishment she asked me smiling if I understood “it” NOW? I sheepishly responded that I did as I felt/understood everything at that time.
The following day I was left only with the certainty of having possessed that knowledge with none of the contents. I wonder to this day if the insight was so overwhelming and alien that my brain just filtered it out or that it was simply amplified?

I've watched and read so many NDE stories where they are told they have to go back. My meditation teacher who claims he has extensive knowledge of the spirit world told all of his students that nobody can force you back because you have freewill. I thought a lot about this and I think that the light beings that tell us we have to go back are us. Our higher selves, the energy beings that have made soul plans to experience this earth realm. I've read so many authors of OBE/NDE experiences describe us as multidimensional beings. Who we are now is not who we really are. These bodies and lives we live are experiences we are having. We become so absorbed in the experience we believe we are the experience. What do you guys think?

But the scripture says, "God Plans our days" The bible actually says, "I have scheduled each day of your life."....not us. He has a Plan for each of our lives but He has given us free will so most of us do not follow His Perfect Plan for our lives. We choose to go our own way and some never do get back to God's Plan for their lives. And some become so rebellious that finally they reject God altogether. The Bible says that the soul that sinneth it shall die. Jesus paid for our sin on the cross. We have to accept His Payment.
It is like some stores who say, "No Shirt. No Shoes. No Service." Therefore to enter that store we have to do it their way or not get in. So too we have to accept Jesus as the one who paid for our sin = Savior or we do not get into God's House which we call Heaven.

The vast majority of people who have reported on their NDEs say that there is no judgment or punishment in the spirit realms, only love. Most say it doesn't matter what you believe in. At physical death, we all go home.
No, it’s not us. We have spirit guides and we’re held accountable to a higher power. Yes, I’m talking about Jesus and God Himself.
if you watch enough of these NDE’s, you’ll find out that many times the decision to go back has been made by God Himself. Because you “haven’t fulfilled your mission yet.”
And we have to come to this physical realm in order to grow. Because there’s no duality in heaven. But when we come here, we have the opportunity to grow by leaps and bounds.

And it DOES matter what we do here on the earth. Will we be judged for it? Yes - by ourselves. In the company of our Creator.
Because he had a reason for creating us and giving us free will. He still wants us to do the right thing and to love others and to seek Him with our free will. But He’s not going to force Himself on us.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to go through a life review where I’m constantly having to feel the pain I’ve inflicted on others.
But you “don’t believe in sin” or “judgment” so apparently you want to think there are no repercussions. Maybe there’s no judgment during the life review, but they’re definitely is karma and the concept of “reap what you sow.” Possibly through reincarnation. Is that what you want? To continue being born on this earth over and over until you learn to do right by others to love them?
The key to avoiding reincarnation apparently is forgiveness. That’s a whole Nother subject.
The other thing is that is not all you have to look forward to when you go to the spirit world.
There will be a day of judgment where Jesus will judge all of us for our actions and inactions while on this earth. Think about it.
Would it makes sense to create a world where nothing matters? Or wouldn’t you want to raise up a family of children who do the right thing and love one another?

My brother drowned in 2002 on a Saturday morning… that Saturday night I had a dream that said to me “prepare yourself, one of your father’s kids is going to die”… I came back from that dream through a tunnel of sound…
When I woke up from that dream, the first words I heard came from my father screaming to me, “Jonas drowned”… that was Sunday morning when we found out he had died.
Till this day, I know that “dream” was my brother somehow saying goodbye before going into the light, forever.

There is a purpose we each come here. We have more to gain in eternity if we achieve that purpose. It helps to understand better what we need to do after a nde for those who have it. We can learn from their experience also

We have soul contracts with particular lessons/tasks we agreed to learn/complete in a lifetime. We can be sent back to complete these if our 'death' is premature. Some are told they will return, some get to choose.
I know what you mean. I've read so many stories of people who didn't want to come back and were seemingly forced back. This seems like a violation of free will doesn't it? However what if the being that is sending us back is us? We identify with our experience so much that we think we are the experience. In many of the stories I have read, we create soul plans on the other side, things we want to experience over here. So if we die before we can experience what we came here to experience, it would make sense that we would want to return to finish the experience. The experience, who we know ourselves to be now, don't understand this and only want to stay in spirit.
There IS heaven and hell. Just because he didn’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It never ceases to amaze me how these people come back with one experience and they think they know everything when they come back and their experience is universal. Altho I love his story and contribution.

Maybe think outside of the box? What if Light Andy chose Andy's body/life/story to inhabit to experience it all from start to finish. Given Andy was being rescued then Andy's story was not over, he had to return to complete it. Maybe as Andy said it was Light Andy that told him he had to return, so he had a feeling it was himself.
In the end we will never know the answer while wearing our costumes on Earth, but in the end we will all know 🙂

This man was probably in Hell so God pushed him back to stay here until he learned the truth about Jesus paying for his Sin and his need for a Savior.
Maybe coming back to Earth to spread knowledge and comfort after his NDE was part of his plan. We often have to have things that we don't want to happen, happen to us so we can learn and understand.

A person who meets God must never have suicidal thoughts in order to supposedly unite with Him. I dare to doubt who this gentleman met on the other side. It was rather the devil who did not teach how to live well in order to meet God but said that everyone, regardless of what they do, will be in heaven. It's a lie! Did the Lord Jesus suffer and die in terrible torment so that man could live with impunity and sinfully and go to heaven anyway? People think. The devil did a lot of good work here. Greetings.

It was asked if we are all coming from light why is there so much hate and violence here. Andy answered I knew in the light but I don't know now. I believe consciousness must experience all aspects of this reality. So there must be negative along with positive people to fulfill the needs of consciousness. Andy could not remember because his remembering would interfere with his free will. The vail of forgetting is at play here, every time we enter or reenter from an nde we go through that vail. 🙏

I wish I could get some devout Christians and Muslims to listen to some of these testimonies with an open mind. But, in my experience, they're usually completely closed off to even giving it a listen, because these testimonies obviously contradict with their beliefs (which they don't want to have to question).
Me too... but maybe this is only their first, second or tenth time having a human experience and their "soul" hasn't yet experienced enough to transcend these primitive beliefs. Because let's be honest, believing that the creator of the universe decided to show himself to a handful of people in a middle eastern desert seems kind of primitive. And indoctrination isn't an excuse because I was raised Catholic but was able to realize that Christianity couldn't possibly be true by age 11 or 12. That's my opinion and experience though.

Remember that much of the work of the Higher Power is hidden from us, and that we enable and assist it by remaining detached, accepting, and reserved in the face of negative influences..

@@karenwilson3261 There are many many Catholics who have not received the message as it was all changed before they even came along. The smoke of Satan has infiltrated the church. I was 12 when it was begun but I know even before that some things were were not being taught right, or done as God wanted. I have seen Jesus in dreams. As in a photograph. As I have also seen a few close relatives. Young and beautiful, though they passed away at 83, 81 & 61. Not all Catholics were taught wrong. We pray for our loved ones even though it is years since they have passed away. Because God is not restricted by time as we are here. Our prayers prayed for them years after they die can help them when they are dying. One family member who left the Catholic Church passed in 2021 from cv. He was about to turn 70 and went non denomitional when he around 30. I pray for him. The Cathoolic Church has always taught it is the one true Church. Others too can go to heaven. They may be long in purgatory first. Prayer for the holy souls in purgatory is essential.
This is lovely, but it's a little confusing that we are equal with the light as Andy says, but he is forced to come back to his body when he clearly didn't want to...seems unfair. There obviously is a hierarchy in play, who makes the decisions...
Life's not fair. We're all dealt a different hand of cards at birth, and we're left to live out that hand. No two created things, including people, are exactly alike.

Very enlightening and informative on how the brain reacts to pending death. Subjectively for me I want to feel and live my life to the absolute full on this planet and not have the cushioning thoughts that if it gets too hard I can just throw myself off a building and then I’m all warm and safe in a light place of peace and love. If I were to play an advanced video game of fighting in the trenches but as I know it’s a computer game it’s not that frightening at all as when I go over the top and get machined gunned, no problem I wake up to the “real world of light and love. I think it’s the “not knowing” that gives true meaning to this life experience. There really shouldn’t be any mistakes from the other side of light and love that goes ‘whoops’! had problem here buddy sorry but you gotta go back to pain. It almost seems that the other side have mistakes happen all the time. It could be that it is really a computer simulation that we are in and playing the game of life with the upgraded software program of “not knowing” this until the game ends and sometimes there is a glitch. I’m still confused on this NDE experience but thank you for you’re inspiring podcast on this topic.
