Nothing is ad beautiful as hearing the priest praying the litany of humility. They already are humbled at heart. I think they put a smile on God’s face

Jesus please continue to give me the strength to keep supporting myself and my two autistic children. Because I’m losing hope. My sons require so much from me because they are non verbal. Due to them having many issues in school, I’m homeschooling them. I’m a single mother. These past two years since covid have been hard on me. I lost my job at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I have heart disease and I suffer from lupus that’s the major reason why I declined the vaccine. I’m waitressing and I’m grateful but I’m not making enough to make ends meet. Bills are piling up and I can barely afford groceries for my children. I feel like a failure. Every month is a struggle, and now that I’m homeschooling them my schedule is limited. I’m so overwhelmed and ashamed. But God gives me strength. I get harassed and bullied on this app for sharing my testimony and for asking for prayers but prayers are all I NEED. As christians we must have compassion towards one another so please be kind I’m already feeling defeated. BUT! Even as I struggle! I keep faith in God. He is the God of possible! I HAVE FAITH HE WILL PROVIDE! The only point of my testimony is “GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU!”🥹 Keep faith no matter what.

For several years I prayed this litany every day until a relocation and change of jobs disrupted my routine. Alas, good habits are much easier to abandon than they are to establish. Sadly, now I can’t even remember all the lines anymore, but during a rosary meditation on the Sorrowful Mysteries this past week, as I reflected on my participation in the 7 Deadly Sins, the mother of all vices, I heard a call to return to prayers for humility, the mother of all virtues, and now here this video has appeared in my feed to remind me. Thank you and may God bless you and your ministry.

What is so wrong to want to be loved?
@@susancolson397 We already have God’s love, which is perfect and unchanging. Wanting to be loved suggests either that we want to be loved by the world, which is an unnecessary and inferior love, or that we want God’s love, as if it were somehow mutable or otherwise lacking.
Such an impactful litany, I need to pray this more! Pride is the root of so many of my sins

Today is the first time I ever felt ready to pray this prayer. It's so nice to finally be able to ask God for help to free me from self-preservation after getting triggered and feeling bad about myself. Deliver me, Jesus.
This is a hard prayer for me. I still prayed it. Now, I must work on the things that I struggled to actually mean and ask for.

You can only pray every part of this wholeheartedly if you are very secure in God's love for you in all aspects of your life.
I love this litany and I realize how much I want to be what this litany calls me to be, but I don't understand "From the desire of being loved. Deliver me, oh Jesus. "

I think an important distinction needs clarifying; it's from WORLDLY fear that we're asking to be delivered from. We're not asking to not desire to be loved by GOD, but other humans

Hey ascension presents I have a question to ask I live in a different country that speaks a different language and I don’t have a full understanding of the language should I still go to church or should I keep on going Sundays with ascension
Is humiility also the willingness/desire to yield to, and obey, God's voice, do you think?
This is my second time saying the litany of humility and I cried like a baby both times. I was caught off guard as i didn't expect to cry and be so choked up. What does this mean?

While recently reading through the gospels, the importance of humility just jumped off of the pages at me. It's an easy concept to understand but it can be very difficult to live out.
Me, too! I just read the Gospel chapter in Mark where the mother said, Lord, yet the whelps eat of the crumbs that fall from the table...and Jesus said” for this word,your daughter is healed”.❤
I have a question. I have heard that humility isn’t about thinking less of yourself or thinking you are worse than others, etc. In other words, it’s not about comparing yourself to anyone else but about knowing who you are before God. So I’m confused by the last lines of the prayer when we pray that others may be “more” loved, praised, etc. than we are. This seems to me like a comparison, when we are praying to be “more” or “less” of something than others - but meanwhile I though the whole point of humility is to accept whatever your situation is in the world but know that your worth is from God alone. I can understand praying for help to accept it if others are more loved than us, but I don’t understand why we are begging God to actually make others more loved than us.
Can someone please explain this to me?
