Thank you Steve for all of your hard work and dedication. What an adventure you've traveled. Looking forward to watching the presidents grave sites. Stay safe and blessed.
Thanks David!
That’s absolutely amazing!! A great trek. Thanks for letting us travel with you.
Thanks for coming along, Billy!
Wow! 9000 miles! That’s just mind boggling to me. I can only guess how much you paid for gas on this trip. Gas along with hotels and food and other essentials must have cost a pretty penny. I’m excited to see all you’ve filmed. Thank you for sharing, now I’m sure you’re ready for a much needed rest. Driving can be so stressful.
LOL, it was mind boggling for me, too. :-) I'll be sharing a video about the cost, too. Also mind boggling, lol. :-O
@@davidniehaus4217 , that would be very nice to see
@@TheGraveyardChannel Hi Steve. There will be a p-pal donation, to you. Thanks for, the trips, we cannot make. I regret the high cost of ‘Everything, today.’ ☹️
Atop "Monument Hill", a national cemetery in Greeneville, Tennessee, lies the final resting places of our 17th President, Andrew Johnson, and much of his family. The serene uniform beauty of the hundreds of markers all along the huge hillsides in conjunction with the beautiful panoramic views of the mountains of eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina are indeed awe inspiring!!! The monument itself may not compete as the most impressive among presidential sepulchres; however, it's difficult to imagine the natural beauty of any other such resting place exceeding that of President Johnson's.
I agree, Jim. I also loved the little town of Greeneville. It was my second favorite. My favorite town on this trip was Eisenhower's Abilene, KS. My video of Johnson is coming soon. There's a bit of trivia that made it one of my favorite visits.
I shall be anxiously awaiting your "A Johnson video", Steve.
My little hometown, Greeneville, is quite unique in so many ways. It's the state's second oldest city, and is home to Tennessee's oldest university, "Tusculum". It also was the capitol of the short-lived state of "Franklin", and many of the churches downtown dating back to the late eighteenth century have been beautifully maintained. Aside from the Johnson final resting place one may visit his federally preserved home and tailor shop located in the downtown area.
Other claims to fame of this small community include the birthplace of frontiersman David Crockett, and the naming of an atomic submarine in its honor, the "USS Greeneville", in 1994.
An old vintage movie, "Tennessee Johnson", made in the 1940's starring Van Heflin provides some insight into Johnson's ascension to the presidency. It likely imposes some creative licensing, but nevertheless provides a basic framework of understanding relative to Republican Lincoln's selection of Democrat Johnson as his running mate in 1864.
Trivia for you - Andrew Johnson to date is the POTUS buried at the highest elevation @ 1700' above sea level. Give or take 6 feet LOL
Kudo's to you Steve for such an Herculean effort ! You've made all who've viewed this Vlog armchair history aficionados !👍🇺🇸
It's surprising how history can be fun and come to life when you visit these grave. Thanks for watching, Gary!
Looking forward to the videos as always thanks
What a great accomplishment, Steve!
Looking very forward to watching the series on your channel.
Thanks Vixster!
Wow, you are ambitious. I could not even begin to imagine visiting every presidential grave, so I will do so virtually through you.
I imagine that there were also many locations where there were other notable people buried in cemeteries along with the presidents. Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis comes to mind as a place where not only one president is buried, but three vice presidents as well, as well as many others. Arlington Cemetery has many others besides President Kennedy. I hope that some of those will be included in your videos as well.
Anyway, thank you for sharing all of this.
It's a good thing I didn't know ahead of time how ambitious I was being or I never would have done this, lol! And yes, I did visit many of the others in the same cemeteries, too, but I just couldn't get to them all even in five weeks. It was very frustrating! :-O
Way to go, Steve. That takes a lot of time, as well as energy. I never could have managed that kind of trip. I'm looking forward to seeing all of these videos.
Absolutely awesome! I can’t wait to see all of your videos.
I thought of you when I visited James Monroe's bird cage. I remembered watching your earlier video. I see we also both just visited Calvin Coolidge. LOL, guess we were on the same cemetery road trip. :-)
Thanks Steve. I can't imagine the ordeal you've been through. I lived in NYC as a child and my friends and I used to visit General Ulysses Grant monument every lunch hour. My Junior high school was within a 10 minute walk and back in the early 80's it was free; you just walked right in. A lot has changed since then.
It took me over an hour just to find parking so I could visit his tomb. You were lucky you could walk, lol. :-) What a great place to grow up as a kid, wow!
Hi Steve! Wow what a fantastic road trip ! Very interesting finding historic President's sites ! A great history lesson for sure ! Lots of travel involved ! Thanks again for all your great vlogs! Take care ! See you on the next adventure ! Deborah Canada

I just got home. Thanks maureen!
That's my dream trip. Plus the birthplaces or homes where they grew up. What a great experiences you had on your trip.
Some of their homes were even more interesting than their graves.
@@TheGraveyardChannel I'd definitely be mesmerized by their homes, to think of them there growing up in that place and how they lived.
I just love your videos and I'm always learning so new from them!!
This is so awesome. Looking forward to seeing this. Thank you Steve. Be safe.

I look forward to hearing your observations! Once again. Bravo.
Thank you Andy and the same to you! I'm compiling a list of club 39 members and will mention everyone in a future video. Thanks for watching and for sharing with us!
@@TheGraveyardChannel I know TJ Fallon, Ashok Emmanuel and Tim Brash. If you're part of the I purposefully visit presidents, on FB, they are on there.
My next goal is parent sets. Getting the parents of presidents. So many who've done it keep on going to get VP's, and birthplaces. I decided to change the script and go for parents. I'm up to like 23 sets now.
Those who've done it know how insane the accomplishment is, and I tip my hat. You might be the quickest in 5 weeks. It took me 5 years.
Congratulations, Steve..and thanks for bringing this old friend along, guys!
Thanks for coming along William!
That is amazing Steve . What a fantastic and knowledgeable trip! Much needed rest for you when you get back home!
I definitely need a vacation after my vacation, lol. :-)
Thanks Steve tackling Presidential grave sites across the country. I look forward to discovering information about these individuals. Hello from Canada.

Wow amazing Steve Thanks so much
Thankyou Steve! I am Canadian but I just love history! Really looking forward to watching your adventures! 😊❤️
Thanks Melanie!
Wow! I'm impressed. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching, Renee!
The closest you can get to this in UK would be royal tombs. However, the tombs of several kings and queens are either lost or abroad. The oldest surviving royal tomb in the UK is that of King John in Worcester.
Then Edward VIII and Victoria's graves are on private grounds.
How sad that some are private. :-(
@@comfeefort yeah, I have seen his new tomb too.
St George’s chapel in windsor castle is a brilliant place to visit if you want to see royal tombs . Also Westminister abbey is worth a trip
@@lornawalsh8348 been to both, though it was years ago.
This is awesome! I love the fact that you tackled this adventure!! Thank you for this! Have a beautiful day, Steve!! 😊
Steve, you always seem so calm. Must have been frustrating at times. You add the positive & do an amazing job w/all your stories I have watched. Say hi to your "copilot."
Thank you so much for sharing a trip like this with us!!
What an outstanding accomplishment. I am excited to see this series.
Thanks Cathy!

Hi Steve 👋 My favourite place to visit and see would be President Lincoln. Thanks for this Amazing vlog my friend and the memories. Stay safe. Greetings from Peterborough 👋
I enjoyed Lincoln's Tomb, but some of the others even more. Thanks Wendy!
I’ve really thought about what you’ve done. The details and planning are staggering. Good job.
Hi Billy, it was pretty staggering at time. I just focused on one grave and one day at a time. Thanks!
Awesome 👏 video of your beautiful adventures and road-tripped cemeteries 🕊🤔Very interesting 🧐 stuff..Thanks STEVE (( liked 👍))
Thanks mg 👍
Wow I'm impressed. Can't wait for all the videos.

It sure was. Thanks, Chuck!
Thanks Steve for another fantastic video and all of them! xoxo
Glad you enjoyed it, Jane!
Really looking forward to seeing all of the places you visited on your trip.
Awesome job, man! I have also been to all 39! My first was Lincoln back in 2009, and my last was Nixon in 2015, and then Bush in 2019. Awesome to see this challenge still being undertaken today! Congrats, dude!
Fantastic Joe! Now I know two people who have visited all of them. I will mention you and your accomplishment in one of the future videos! So, that's three of us in the club, so far. :-)
Joe started young too, Steve, he’s younger than I am. Another knowledgeable and dedicated grave hunter. If you’re ever not sick of presidents, in January 2021 he and I did a social livestream talking about our youths visiting the graves and can share it with you (but truly no obligation for you to watch it - I don’t want to inundate you or cause you to have a presidential overdose!)
That's one heck of a trip! Looking forward to the videos.
I hope you visit the Wright Brothers graves one day.
Great video Steve. Can’t wait to see them individually.
Thanks Kirsten. Can't wait to edit and share them.
Steve what an amazing undertaking! Thank you for taking us on your journey
PS Tornado Alley Lanes that’s hilarious 😆
Awesome ! I know you can't wait to get back home and get some good home cooked meals. That food on the road has a way of making you homesick. Hats off to you for sticking it out.
I ook forward to visiting more Presidential grave sites ! Thank you Steve ! :)
Wow!! 9000 miles - I know you put in a lot of hard work and I can’t wait to see the videos!!

@@TheGraveyardChannel You're welcome I enjoy your videos
Thank you Steve this was interesting and a good history lesson.. keep it up...
Thanks, Stan!
@@TheGraveyardChannel your welcome..
I’ve always loved Gothic Temples, Roman Ruins, columns, cupolas, majesty, but was amazed that President Kennedy’s moved me beyond words. The designer, John Carl Warnecke created a sense of wonder, awe, etherealness that I’ve never forgotten. It’s that feeling of the hairs on your neck rising in absolute wonder knowing that you are in a sacred place.
I agree Billy. Sometimes the simplest graves are the most moving.
@@TheGraveyardChannel I was surprised how moving it was, like a slow stroll through Muir Woods.
Wow I would like to someday it is on my Bucket list!! Have a safe trip Steve!!!!
Thanks, Sarah. I hope you get to!
All I can say is that what you did is absolutely awesome. I look forward to hearing about this adventure. Wow!
Happy to hear that LeRoy!

Wow! I can’t wait to see the upcoming videos.
I can't wait to share them, j!
Thank you!
Excellent video , excellent work for seeing all this history
I’m a retired History Teacher and this should be used in the classroom! In my opinion
Great video!! 🙏🇺🇲❤️
I believe that most of us are lucky/fortunate etc. to have visited just a SINGLE gravesite of theirs. I've seen only one other YT poster who succeeded in that feat. Congrats to you on this accomplishment!
I agree. I think it's a pretty small club of people who have visited them all. Thanks Craig!
@@TheGraveyardChannel Perhaps there ought to be formed an organization similar to the "7 Summits Club" meant for all of those who have visited every Presidential gravesite.
@@craigtalbott731 I will have to check online. I think there is a Facebook page for people who are visited all of the graves, but I’m not sure if there’s an actual club. If there is I’m sure it’s a small one. Lol 😊
Thanks for visiting all these presidential gravesites. I'll live this adventure through your videos. You'll never forget this trip.
Hi Steve, that is so awesome! It's one of my life goals to visit each Presidential grave...I have visited 6 thus far. George Washington, Kennedy, Taft (just saw it from the road), Wilson (at that chapel you visited), Truman and Lincoln. I can't wait to see those episodes in the following weeks!
Hi HM, 6 is 6 more than most people ever get to visit! I hope you get to them all, in time, too! Thanks for sharing with us! Also, I'll have to check out your channel.
Best wishes on the remaining 33, HM - you have visited some very interesting ones among those 6 and have other interesting places yet to see!
@@kurtdeion Thank you. Like Steve said it would be a lot better if they were spread out throughout the US but a lot of them are in the East. If all else fails, there's always VGWS, right? lol
That is so awesome. You do such a great job 👍🏻🤩
Congrats on such a epic journey!!!!
Thankyou for what you are doing. I will be following you. Thanks for telling us about Calvin's birthday 🥳🎉.🥰🥰.

Wow, you are the third comment to mention Cleveland. I've taken a few much shorter road trips in Australia, too. Both beautiful countries. Thanks for sharing with us, Fred!
Amazing! Greatly appreciated!
