I love that shot of you sitting on the carpet with your massive ball of yarn. I laughed because the yarn, the carpet, your socks, sweater, and scrunchie are all about the same color and I looked down and realized the yarn I'm knitting with is also that color.
I think if you made a long video just talking and knitting it would be amazing because some of those highlights in the video seemed that they would make a very intresting ramble session
12:46 are you absolutely kidding me this shot is SO ridiculously cute. Like S tier image. The huge ball, the splayed legs, the ABSURDITY. 10/10 image language. I love it.
I was disappointed I didn't get to hear the full spiel about your knowledge of plastics and the class you took lmao that was interesting. ALSO didn't clock that your cats names were merry and Pippin till this video and that is absolutely precious
This video is so funny, with relatable amount of lying down and toppling things. 10/10. Also yes please tell us more about different plastics. Especially if it's yarn related. (Okay also third thing this is really none of my business but please don't become one of the young'ones who's scared of the border between outside world and their house. Don't lock yourself in, suspicion of your community and paranoia of something breaking in will really feed into your anxiety. Take care of your mindset! Honestly with so much love.)
So, we always use our own blanket in bed 😂 it also helps because we can temperature regulate individually. We have different blankets we can swap out. Our bedroom temperature is completely awful for trying to regulate though. It's almost always way too hot or way too cold. And I prefer a weighted blanket while my partner doesnt. But yeah, I preach individual blankets. You can share when you want, but get your own when you want too
Love your videos! Starting to binge watch them all. The reason when taking out the blanket on the ends giving you trouble is you needed to start from the other end. I have bought sweaters to reclaim beautiful yarn and I to found out the hard way! Oh, and thank you!
I love that you don’t do tutorials and it’s just fun knitting content. Also you love cats, knitting and you were obsessed with Sherlock?!? Your basically me lol I loved Sherlock!!!!!!! Wish they’d make more. So glad I subscribed 😊❤️
@@BreathingYarn OK it's gotta be in the air today! I just told my husband this morning, "I want to stay in bed and marathon Sherlock." But, ya know, adulting is hard.
In Scandinavian countries they usually have 2 duvets for a double bed. No one hogs the duvet and everyone gets to cocoon them selves and feel snug. That might be worth a try. I have just discovered your channel and I enjoy having it on whilst I spin yarn or knit. Thank you for the work that you do.
I just started crocheting at the end of January, and the algorithm send me to you...or you to me? I dot know… I REALLY loved this video, thanks for this cozy Sunday!
this is incredibly late since youtube just suggested your channel to me for super large blankets that I know won't fit into the washer I like to do really, really large squares or strips that I know will fit in the wash, and then super loosely connect them at the end. then to wash I've just gotta disconnect them and reconnect after. extra work but at least they can get washed without needing to find an industrial washing machine lol and I really like how cozy and comfy your videos are
There’s definitely not enough celebration at the end of a finished object! I try (but don’t always succeed) to at least take a good few photos of what I’ve finished and just sit with for a few minutes before moving on. Doesn’t always happen. But it is nice to revel in that feeling of accomplishment when you can
Im late but i just started crovheting and your channel is one of my favourites bevause you dont post tutorial after tutorial. I never watch tutorials for things i have no intention of making, so i much prefer the cozy talk and knit/crochet videos 🥰🥰🥰
So good news: I'm finally starting with the lining for my bag. I already have my pieces cut and the first bits pinned. (5 pieces in total, as I insist on at least two compartments per bag.. I don't like my keys touching my phone.) I still live in my childhood home, since I don't know what I want to do yet (hopefully I'll figure that out within the next year or so..), and I also just don't really have a reason to move out. My parents bought this house for me and my brother and I love this place a lot. It has always been a rather colourful house. Only few of our walls are white, e.g. my room has two tone blue ones. To balance that out, all of my furniture is white, with a bit of grey and black. We also have many carpets, mine are in sand and orange tones, which matches my orange curtains quite well. (I really like the combination of blue and orange.) Also my curtain knowledge: It is normal and intended to have two sets of curtains, a sheer and a solid one. The sheer one disperses the light, which for one helps with direct sunlight getting right into your eye and also helps light up the room more equally (less harsh shadows and such). And the solid curtains are to keep the light out or in (no one wants their neighbors to see what is going on inside their home). Personally I also just don't like the look of a black hole in my wall, which windows are at night, so that is why I have mine closed, even if I have shutters on the outside of my window.
Excellent video. I too have a LOT of DVDs. First wives club is a phenomenal movie with an excellent cast. I love Diane Keaton's mum too. Thereca are some quoteworthy lines in it for certain.
I do learn things from your videos. I can't exactly say what. We have blackout curtains in our bedroom because the security light between our building and the next shines right in the window. Someday, when my husband is now longer around , I want to get a twin bed and move my desk and paperwork into that spot. I'd leave the curtains up because sunshine comes in during the day and I can enjoy that. I believe a canopy is more trouble than it is worth. My mom had one. She screwed hooks into the ceiling and draped the cloth across the ceiling, down the head and foot of the bed and gathered it at the corners so that there was space to get out. I believe the cats would have lots of fun with that! Good luck.
I have those socks!! I have met about half a dozen people who have gotten them as gifts. I’ve never met someone who has bought them for themselves but we all like them!
I guarantee there will be more chemistry rambles 😂 it’s impressive that your education focus is on chemistry as a student. It’s not an easy subject (I know I struggled), good on you!

I’ve wondered, since I noticed, why we have so many comforters and duvets instead of the “bedspreads “ we had back in the day. Covers that went to the floor on the sides.
Hi from Germany ❤ I love your video and the calm vibe. Also your cats are adorable and I love your cute sweaters. We also have a king size bed, but because I love to wrap myself completely up in my blanket, we got two single sized ones instead of a big one (but I have the feeling that this is also more common in Germany. Having separate blankets, that is). Looking forward to you next video, hope to hear you talk more about plastic
I feel similarly about acrylic (plastic) yarn, but I’ve been encouraged by the lines of recycled acrylic and other fiber options from major brands, like Lion Brands (ReSpun, Respekt, etc); KnitPicks Brava Recycled; Universal Clean; and the various “mill ends” options. Working with plastic? Yes. Reclaimed from water bottle trash? Also yes. Makes me feel a little better helping to drive the demand for these options.
I am so impressed you did all this in just a few days!!! Also I totally agree about celebrating finishing projects! And I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets anxious when home alone at night despite living in a very safe neighbourhood 😂😂😂 Thankfully my partner isn't out very often!
I was so excited when I got the notification that you uploaded a new video and I saved it as a treat for Monday after work to watch while knitting on a small cat „blanket“ to go on one of my stone window boards, where my cats love to hand out. Your re-knitted blanket turned out so good and wow how great that you were able to get the exact same yarn! Have a lovely week! 😊~ Kat
I loved this video so much, i truly appreciate that its not in tutorial form it feels like just sitting with a friend and having a yapping session. It's very comforting and i'll definitely be binging your videos now whilst completing my crochet projects
most relatable knitting youtuber 👁👄👁 also! I had this same issue with a blanket too big to wash and found a laundromat nearby that had extra large washers and dryers. maybe check around?
your videos are by far my favorite to work on projects to, so if you ever decide to do live streams I'll definitely be there! Also, the blanket looks beautiful!
Here’s my ramble for this video: - I love seeing you finger knit a blanket, not only am I happy that someone else has a blanket that they’ve made hundreds & hundreds of times before either fixing or adding something to it, because I crochet a blanket & I can’t add to it anymore because pitter patter by bernat baby blanket or confetti by barnat baby blanket I used is discontinued & it’s so frustrating because I love the blanket. So I just have a small blanket that only covers my body which is great for me but I would love to add to it. - I would love to watch you live stream, especially for an hour or two. Although I might not watch the whole thing but background noise or to go back & listen is amazing to have - I plan on getting a king size bed for me & my newly fiancé when we live together, currently 19 (20 in April) live in the city with my parents. Since my fiancé is a big person & I’m a small tiny person, he likes to have big warm space while I love a corner space while we sleep, but I would love a big bed just to lay in & especially with my cat, he loves to nap with me sometimes. Btw I love the headboard of your bed but that’s just me - Another thing maybe you should do a painting with your husband. I’ve seen people do videos on it that’s where the idea came from but your husband might not as artsy. It’s really up to you & your husband. Love your video I have practically watched all of them! Much love🩷
Love the finished look of the blanket and the bed. Personally not a fan of the padded headboard style for myself, especially with a lighter fabric, just because of time and hair oils, but I really like the blue and burnt orange color scheme. Love to see what you come up with once it's all done. Also, just on a side note, I'm from Sweden and the shared duvet isn't really a thing here, like at all. I keep seeing those "10 culture shocks I had when moving from X to Sweden," and the two single bed duvets on the double bed is always on the list, and the list makers always talk about how awesome it is. Maybe you guys could see if that works for you, and when you want to cuddle in the middle of the bed, you just overlap your covers. Best of both worlds :P
I watch a lot of UA-cam from creators in Scandinavia and I always loved the two-blanket system! I asked my husband if he’d want to switch but he’s was happy with our current setup so we kept it because I don’t particularly mind as long as there’s enough blanket to go around 😆
@@BreathingYarn I'm a total blanket hog, that snug as a bug saying was definitely made with me in mind, but as long as one big one works for you that's great. Trust me though, you should try it out at least once in your life. It's like sleeping in seperate beds (very 1950s chic), but you can still poke your feet under the other person's blanket to warm your toes on them.
Thank you 🥰 For a first sweater, I’d HIGHLY recommend Kutovakika (Veronika Lindbergs) pattern. She has tutorials to go along with some of her patterns so for anyone intimidated by knitting a sweater and wanting to, her Cinema Sweater is a great start! ua-cam.com/video/pYWtCQQCUTY/v-deo.htmlsi=ARcNUURBDxD5Hqxb She has another video called “How to Read a Knitting Pattern” that is also very helpful. For accessories, I’d go with the Fire Pit Mitts by Tayler Earl, she has a UA-cam channel called “Wool, Needles, Hands”. For household goods, I love the Stella Quilt Cushion which is beginner friendly. It’s by Laura Penrose (who also has a UA-cam channel 😂) The most important thing with beginner friendly patterns (in my opinion) is less about the item being made and more about how clearly the pattern is written. Designers that do a good job are: Veronika Lindbergh, Petite Knit, Laura Penrose, Tayler Earl. Laine Publishing also has a book called “52 Weeks of Easy Knits” with 52 easy-ish knit patterns
Hey there! I found your video as I was searching for crochet content... while I crochet lol! I love your vibe and to answer your question, I would hang out if you live streamed. I'm currently a student but when I get the moments where I can breathe I crochet and my kitty (Willow) hangs out with me. It was satisfying to see a finished project. I can totally relate to the realistic expectation of finishing a project. I'm working on a hexagon cardigan for my mom and its taking way longer than i thought. Anyways, thanks for hanging out
First off, thank you 🥰. I also love the name willow! I am binge watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer (idk if you’ve seen it) but willow is one of my favorite characters. I also love that you’re making a cardigan for your mom, that’s so sweet!
Great video once again, had such a cozy time watching after a busy few days :) I’m making great progress on a striped scarf for my dad~ hello from Québec, Canada!!
Update: rewatched for some background cozy vibes- I’m nearing the end of the scarf and I rly love your use of (I’m guessing) copyright free music & generally the sound design in your videos, it creates a lovely atmosphere :)
A round of applause for the scarf 👏 And thank you. I use a paid service for copyright free music. I will just sit and go through hundreds of songs and pick out the ones that make me feel good :)
TWO DAYS!?!? Ive bedn working in my sweater since the beginning of September. I thought i was going faster than normal. Now im not so sure. I have a book like that with dvds lol
I also smack talk to my cats. When they’re being crazy I have 2 phrases in Korean I say “who are you!?” And “are you crazy?!” Or in English I say “you must’ve lost your mind”
You could reveal that you actually have had 20 cats all along and I'd go "yeah, that makes sense" with how they are EVERYWHERE at all times lol PS. Contrary to the username, hello from Poland!
😂 Hello in Poland! I laughed so hard at your comment. I was complaining to a friend that I wanted a third cat but our apartment building only allows for two. My friend said to get another black cat and there’s no way they’ll be able to prove I have three 😂 😂 😂
Where I come from, it's really uncommon to have just one blanket/duvet if it's two people sleeping in a bed. So when you talked about sewing two duvets together, I was really confused for a moment, since with how I grew up I didn't think you'd voluntarily want just one duvet for two people
😂 I follow a lot of creators in Northwestern Europe and I asked my husband a few years ago if he’d want to switch to the two blanket system but he was content with our current setup. If I hadn’t already made the big blanket, we probably would’ve had two smaller blankets.
Wait that road trip hour question is valid. 8-10 if you're tag-teaming. 4-8 if you're going solo. This is perfect for multiple stops at different rest points or hotels for a soft bitch like me lol.
Fun fact - I wonder if it's similar to humans. Because men don't have a uterus and ovaries, they have a longer colon. We have shorter ones which means our farts smell more.....maybe cats also have short ones and smell bad.
I love that shot of you sitting on the carpet with your massive ball of yarn. I laughed because the yarn, the carpet, your socks, sweater, and scrunchie are all about the same color and I looked down and realized the yarn I'm knitting with is also that color.
It’s my beige era 😂

For household goods, I love the Stella Quilt Cushion which is beginner friendly. It’s by Laura Penrose (who also has a UA-cam channel 😂)
The most important thing with beginner friendly patterns (in my opinion) is less about the item being made and more about how clearly the pattern is written. Designers that do a good job are: Veronika Lindbergh, Petite Knit, Laura Penrose, Tayler Earl.
Laine Publishing also has a book called “52 Weeks of Easy Knits” with 52 easy-ish knit patterns
OMG you are so amazing!!! Thank you so much :D @@BreathingYarn
Thank you for sharing this process! All your videos are so enjoyable.
Could you buy 2 queen duvets and inserts and sew the inserts together, then splice the duvet cover open and then sew together?
Certainly! We started with one King Douvet so I just used two of those instead
Release the unedited rambling footage, I wanna hear about the polymer classes 😂
Livestreams would be so much fun!!
Oh there will definitely be more on that another time
@@BreathingYarn heck yes!
My husband and I absolutely use a king bedspread on our queen size bed😂
This was fun, thanks ❤
I also love that you’re making a cardigan for your mom, that’s so sweet!
love your videos! greetings from Germany ♥️♥️♥️
Danke schön!!!
Hallo aus den Vereinigten Staaten! 🥰
I’m loving this video! You r so funny!
😊 thank you
Great video once again, had such a cozy time watching after a busy few days :) I’m making great progress on a striped scarf for my dad~ hello from Québec, Canada!!
That’s so sweet 🥰 your dad is gonna love it! Hello in Quebec
@@BreathingYarn oh that’s lovely I love how much thought is put into these videos :)
TWO DAYS!?!? Ive bedn working in my sweater since the beginning of September. I thought i was going faster than normal. Now im not so sure. I have a book like that with dvds lol
Hi from Portugal!
oi dos Estados Unidos!
I mean if you need more podcasters marina skua just got back from maternity leave so there’s some more content coming there 😂
I also smack talk to my cats. When they’re being crazy I have 2 phrases in Korean I say “who are you!?” And “are you crazy?!” Or in English I say “you must’ve lost your mind”
😂 I love those phrases
You remind me of my teacher ❤
You could reveal that you actually have had 20 cats all along and I'd go "yeah, that makes sense" with how they are EVERYWHERE at all times lol
PS.
The jumbo machines at the laundromat would of worked well too
Silly question why didn't you take it to a laundry mat? They have commercial size machines that could handle king size blankets.
Not a silly question, I just didn’t think of it. Next time I gotta try that
your cats are like black pipe cleaners with googly eyes stuck on that also have severe neurosis and i love them with all my heart
Omg 😂 I’m gonna use that “black pipe cleaners with googly eyes”
What yarn is this? (if you remember)
Bernat Blanket Yarn :)
@@BreathingYarn thank you
side hustle....put all your rambling videos up so people can play them in the background when they're alone or trying to sleep.
Wait that road trip hour question is valid. 8-10 if you're tag-teaming. 4-8 if you're going solo. This is perfect for multiple stops at different rest points or hotels for a soft bitch like me lol.
I need a “certified soft bitch” sweater 😂
Funny thing-I am a “process” knitter. I could knit something, unravel it, and knit something else.
I usually am for most things.
Fun fact - I wonder if it's similar to humans. Because men don't have a uterus and ovaries, they have a longer colon. We have shorter ones which means our farts smell more.....maybe cats also have short ones and smell bad.
