Thank you so much for watching and for commenting! Really glad you enjoyed the video. Yellowstone will be coming out soon, and I hope you enjoy that one as well :) Cheers! -Andrew
Watch the videos long enough bro you’ll find out all they do is giggle and slurp and suck on their food. It’s disgusting I quit watching them they’re embarrassing. They should be wearing a little pink skirts.
in the end of this video, the narrator spoke and it brought me to tears. I recently lost my mom. she was my best friend and trail buddy. I went today for the first time she passed, and I went to commemorate her. I feel more at ease after that hike today, 6 miles on the Florida trail in big cypress national preserve. and it was the best thing I could have done. she was a fan of yours by the way. she thought you are cute, Andrew.
Hey Bryan - so sorry for your loss. We've seen your comments on a lot of our videos, and I'm glad you both got to watch them together. Nature is definitely a great way to reflect and remember people. I remember Thomas's grandfather passed away just before we went to the Tetons for the first time, but being out there helped him a lot. I'm glad you got to get out and hike, and thank you for your comment. I hope you are doing well. -Andrew
7 years later and I'm flabbergasted why they don't have at least a million subscribers. Hands down the best backpacking/adventure channel on UA-cam, STILL.
This video is from 7 years ago but I feel the need to say thank you for sharing your experiences. I enjoyed every bit of the high quality video and comments. I am currently recovering from knee replacement surgeries and planning my future backpacking/kayaking adventures. Thanks for making me laugh and looking forward to getting out there again.
Know it was 8 years ago, but watching first now, came upon this awesome page this year. The Thomas bit was amazing, so funny, great job Boys, today is Aug 7, 2024
You can hike, camp for years and think you are prepared for anything and along comes mother nature and shows you that you're not......I really like the channel you guy's put together, life long memories
Too true. It's amazing how quickly you can learn things by making some mistakes while out in the wild. Really glad you enjoy the videos, and thank you for watching!
I absolutely love the music at 1:55 and the low light performance of that camera, those first couple shots of the hike in are so surreal. Its so short but probably one of my favorite sequences you've done. I think you should re-use that song in the future. Its so simple but has so much emotion.
“The ups and downs and drama of life are what make life worth experiencing, joy is a wonderful feeling but sometimes it’s in the moments of loss and sadness that we truly reflect on the beauty of existence.” Absolutely beautiful, I’ve been dealing with the hands down hardest situation of my life but this is something that made me feel like it has a purpose in my life and I will look back on troubling times with a smirk knowing I’ll be ok.
Awesome - glad somebody who knows the place so well approves of the video! I'll have to go back sometime and paddle around. Thanks so much for watching! -Andrew
My great-great grandparents cut down a lot of trees in the Maumee (edge of Toledo) area between 1832, and 1845. They turned 160 acres into farmland, as did other members of my family. I get why that happened, but am conscious of what they destroyed in the name of progress, prosperity, and ...feeding themselves etc. I no longer live in Ohio, and as a child didn't spend much time in a forest aside from one large one in Toledo that my father use to camp in as a boy scout. Very nice to see an Ohio forest versus the endless strip malls and farmland. Excellent presentation BTW. Thanks for your efforts.
Because of your videos I got inspired to film my 50 marathons in 50 days trail running adventure and bought a 4k notebook to catch up on all of your videos .....you guys make an awesome show......and love the gh5 shots.
I just watched this one again, still one of my absolute favorite Adventure Archives of all time. The funny comments, all super fun to watch you guys laughing your way through the rainfly leakage situation and Bryan's floodout. Best line: There may not be one right way to camp, but let me tell you something, there is a WRONG way to camp!!! Hilarious every time i watch it. Got me through a boring lunch break here at the office. Thanks, guys.
That's awesome, and great to hear. It's always nice to know people appreciate the videos we do in places that aren't quite as grand or exciting as the big parks out west! Haha, thanks again so much for watching :) Cheers! -Andrew
+The Bare-Footed Cambodian Hey Pete - thank you so much! So great to know that other people relate to our ramblings :) It wouldn't be the same without it! Thank you for watching! -Andrew
Well done guys- awesome trip once again. Your videos are a continuing demonstration of the best of what youtube has to offer as an educational and entertainment medium- your cinematography, message, banter and love of the natural world is just great! Thanks for taking the time to make such professional videos. Atb, Tom.
+Back Garden Bushcraft Wow - Thank you so much for the kind words! It truly means a lot to us to hear you say that :) Thank you so much for watching! Cheers! -Andrew
Thank you! Robby and I do most of the editing :) Also, if you're interested, you can stream the music from our episodes here: adventurearchives.bandcamp.com/ Thank you again so much for watching and commenting! -Andrew
Really, TRULY, INSANELY impressed with how well composed all your videos are!!! Hard hard work no doubt. Still in love with your videos. SO inspiring!!!!
Don't know if you guys remember me but I commented a while back. I've watched literally every video of your hiking trips and I love all of them! Can't wait for some new adventures!
Hey Tristan, thanks so much! We've got a new episode from Shenandoah coming out soon (July 1st, though the early release is available now), and we're working on another episode from Yellowstone. Thanks again for watching! -Andrew
It's nice to see how to handle things when things don't always go right. Good thing Andrew brought that extra tent he didn't need, or probably even want. Thanks for sharing, as always.
Thanks so much! It's great to hear the approval of someone who's familiar with the area. Glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks so much for watching. -Andrew
My new favorite and it's not because I live close to lake Vesuvius. Your spirits were definitely higher than mine would have been with that ending . I loved the night footage and all the campfire talk and camaraderie . Thanks for sharing .
+Nathan Mullins Awesome, thank you so much for watching! It's super good to know people are liking the video even though it's not at a place like Yosemite or something :) And yeah, that night footage is so good on that camera, haha. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
Another great relaxing video. Thank you for taking me along with your adventures. I am recovering from a surgery and your videos help curb my dying desire to get better and to be in the great outdoors.
+Frankie Nicholson Haha, that was his idea too. Yes! I definitely want to do that in the next episode. I had my magnifying glass this time and everything, but alas, it was overcast and wet the next day. Thanks for watching!! -Andrew
I started putting your full episodes playlist on random and listening at work. Thanks a bunch for making some interesting yet calming videos :) I appreciate you all.
3rd time watching this one....it's a PERFECT episode. Finally got the Steinbrenner - calzone - SEINFELD! joke. Man for young guys, you sure can go deep with the TV, movie, video game references. Oh, and Simpsons too. Just want to let folks know, there are additional rewards for viewing these videos multiple times. My hats off to you guys for all the hard work.
Aside from being super enjoyable to watch, best video work I've seen in most videos, ESPECIALLY in camping videos. Stoked to go to wayne now, thanks dudes!
My brothers and I hiked, and camped along the backpacker trail last november, and this video was a great reminder of that time. I'm glad I came across your page here. Your videos are really great.
I must say, you guys were the first to tip me off to the solo stove and I used it on my bikepacking trip through the Shawnee National Forest, and I love it. Minus the part where I couldn't keep wood dry though a couple hours of rain, but hey that is the fun of it. Awesome trip guys. I love this, it my 'TV'
+Chasing Cornfields Great tip: if you plan on using a solo stove to cook, pack away a few twigs of dry wood that you find here and there to make getting your stove started easy. You don't need much so it doesn't take up weight.
+AdventureArchives I learned that. I used an old tent rainfly for my hammock and it leaks at the seams, soaking my wood stack. so now I think we are both on the look for a good rain fly.
+Chasing Cornfields I've enjoyed using the Egret Equinox tarp, personally: astore.amazon.com/advarch-20/detail/B008YW6APA Though I have noticed very minor dampness when there's a very heavy rain. But it'll still keep everything underneath dry. Cheers! -Andrew
+Brandon m Awesome - this comment is music to my ears! Thank you so much for watching - and hopefully we'll be able to start putting an episode out each month soon! Cheers :) -Andrew
I just hiked Vesuvius this weekend for the first time, it was a very nice trail. I think we were literally the only backpackers on the trail this weekend. Thank you for helping to inspire my trip!
This a a great video, I live about ten minutes from Wayne National Forest. As someone who's just starting to get into backpacking this is very nice to see.
Bravo guys! Ya'll just keep getting better and better! Great music, outstanding cinematogrophy, nice dubbing and what a hilarious touch with Thomas being "lost"! I appreciate the hard work in making these vids!
I've been away from you tube for a few months for various reasons but I logged on today and lo and behold....another A.A. Epic adventure! Whoo! Anyway, I hope to get a reliable connection so I can continue to watch your channel and grow my own. Take care fellas' and thanks for taking us along!
Great job! This might be the best video yet! I love your comments about enjoying the adventure. This rings completely true with me. We all have different ways in which we commune with nature and get our spiritual recharge. Embrace your own and go do it! Great job guys! note to Brian: stick with the hammock! A decent sized cheap tarp will get the job done, you need more coverage!
+Mountain Wanderer I've already ordered a tarp as a new rainfly for my hammock to get more coverage! However, for our upcoming trip, rain is predicted, so I'm bringing the tent so I can have a place to dry any wet clothes. ~Bry
Sauerkraut, Sleepy, Fungi. Thanks for another great adventure. With my bad hip I don't do many hikes but still love the outdoors. Being an Ohio native thanks for the local adventures guys.
+STEVE MUELLER Thanks so much for watching! It's always been my thinking that you can still enjoy the outdoors even if you don't hike a bunch of miles. And that's awesome you're from Ohio - I used to think we didn't have any good backpacking here, haha. Thanks again! Cheers :) -Andrew
Stunning visuals, guys with a goofy sense of humor. Thank you guys for saving that extra $200 for a good camera. It puts you a cut above. And anything with fire-starting in it is awesome. I have done this countless times in a hike group of three, and I was always fighting the other two more than I was fighting mother nature to get the thing started.I also happen to be of Japanese descent, and from the Buckeye State, so I thought this was really cool.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Haha yeah, everybody has their own way of starting a fire, and if you can't get it started fast enough, people get frustrated. That's awesome though, nice to meet a fellow Asian Buckeye! Thank you so much for watching! -Andrew
Best video yet! Wet and Wild! Very Juicy! And I love the trail names, perfect! Reality backpacking always involves RAIN and MUD. The best part was the catastrophic rain part. Funny and so true. Been there, so feel even more connected to you guys. I was imagining the prune feet as you sloshed through the endless water crossings. (there are no such things as waterproof boots.) Can't wait to see what you produce next! You have proven yourselves Vermud (Vermont) worthy. The Long Trail awaits you. Suggested future trip, maybe in the fall when it's not so rainy. THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME EPISODE!
+Carol Czina Haha, thank you so much! That's awesome, would love to hear some of your rainy stories. The rain is definitely a constant antagonizing force when you're backpacking, but it also makes things more exciting :) The Long Trail looks beautiful - we would love to go to Vermont! I imagine that area looks incredible with the fall colors. Thanks so much for watching, and thanks for the suggestion! Cheers :) -Andrew
Hi fellas! I just wanted to tell you how impressive the production quality of your content is, considering you guys produce the music as well - I cant imagine the hard work that goes into one of these adventures. Cheers!
+Average Campers' Adventures Thank you so much! And super glad that the extra effort in the shots is appreciated :) We always appreciate it for ourselves when the camera angles are good, so we try to do it as well. Thanks again! -Robby
Love the positivity you guys keep throughout every variable you come across (at least on video). A positive attitude really goes a long way in helping yourself or a group. Granted, it may have taken like 45 minutes after everyone was up and moving! Way to go guys!
Thanks a bunch, dude. Yeah, staying positive is definitely important. Usually little can faze me, but we can get short with each other when we're exhausted and hungry, haha. But then the next minute, you've eaten, you're seeing a beautiful view, and everybody's really happy.
...just had to watch this a 3rd time before sitting down to Shenandoah tonight. This was such an amazing episode, and I have loved every viewing of it. Since I hadn't previously commented on, I'll share my "Top 10 List" on why I think this was one of your best ones to date. (--to be read David Letterman Top-10-style) Number 10. Early Spring / Midwest -- when released, I was craving some outdoor time so bad and this really fed my addiction. Plus, I will forever love the way you show how there are incredible locations and experiences everywhere, not just in the best-known tourists spots. 9. You finally acknowledged arriving in the dark -- "The AA way" -- funny. On a related note, it was a beautiful night and nighttime footage was wonderful. 8. Mo' Bryan Mo' Bryan Mo' Bryan! -- good to see you "in the lead" for more scenes. 7. Love love love the trail names! (...and so appropriate!) 6. The wildlife. Lots of it. Very cool. 5. More campfire cooking, always great to see as this has always been one of my favorite camping activities. 4. The rain scene -- Not because I enjoy drama, but because it's perfect how you show that unforeseen circumstances don't need to ruin a trip. (...but it was entertaining to watch the drama unfold, caught on camera, nonetheless.) Way to persevere & and still make the best of it! (I'm not quite so cheerful when I get wet while camping.) 3. Fire philosophy & chatting -- both nights. It's all about just being out there! 2. The Hike-out photography was some of your best ever. You guys just keep setting the bar higher with each new episode, and nature gave some great spring beauty, even with the rain. The lake, new green grass, fallen leaves, mosses & ferns, waterfalls, fog, and rock formations all made some stunning nature scenes. 1. The theme. You all rock! Can't wait to see what's next.
Thanks a ton Anthony! This is definitely one of my favorites too, everything seemed to come together, and the rain bit made for a very nice twist lol! Hope you enjoy Shenandoah! ~Bry
Glad you guys were able to make it to Wayne National Forest. I need to get back there myself. It is a great place to hike and camp. i also got rained on there.
+Jeremy Buchanan Thanks! It was really cool, we had been thinking about going there for a long time and it was good to finally get out there. Really enjoyed it, even with the rain :) -Robby
And yet again another awesome adventure guys, really great work. The places you guys go to are so beautiful, thank you for taking us with you. Looking forward to the next adventure! atb
I love your vidoes they make my spirit soar , I love being in nature it really relax your soul. How did you guys learn so much about the plants and trees in the forest
Love your videos, have to watch all of them twice to make sure that I hit the LIKE button. You guys are Awesome!! Watched, Liked, and Shared for sure this time!
YAAAASSSS! New episode finally. I found this channel while searching for info on backpacking in Yosemite (I'm doing my first ever backpacking trip there this summer). You guys have helped re-ignite my sense of adventure.
+Mratl131 Fantastic! Where in Yosemite are you going? You'll have a blast, and you should tell us how it goes when you get back :) Glad we could help re-ignite your adventurous side, and thank you so much for watching! Cheers! -Andrew
+AdventureArchives I'm going to the high country. White wolf to tuolumne meadows, following the toulumne river most of the way. And I'll definitely let you know how it goes when I get back. Thanks!
+Mratl131 Oh wow, that sounds like an amazing time. Yeah, it would be awesome seeing the high country area. Would love to go back and explore it. Have a good time!! -Andrew
Amazing video once again guys! I'm hooked to them all, and every new video alert feels like a new gift and always make me super excited. No matter how I'm feeling, your video always, but always put a nice smile onto my face. So thank you guys, and keep doing what your doing. May peace be with you.
+sp pro Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoy the videos, and hopefully we can start putting them out a bit more often :) And thanks again for watching! Peace! -Andrew
I from Brazil, and I freaking love your videos guys, dammt , a lot of nice conversation bettwen you guys.. Thank you so much for such a good production!
Thank you so much for the kind words, and thanks for watching! Haha, I'm planning on making some tapioca with cheese on our next trip. I would make caipirinhas too, but I don't think they allow alcohol where we're going. Thanks again! -Andrew
+AdventureArchives hahahaha thats soooo nice ! I love tapiocas and caipirinhas! Can I go to USA and make part of some adventure with you guys ? Hahahahaha your videos are so nice ! Thanks for you attention !!!!
Hi Guys, you have figured out the best way for your relationship with friends and nature. Hiking good thing to develop your condition, problem solving thinking and spent long time for your favorite pastime.
+Mrterrbl thank you! I was about to read this comment and I was looking at your username and my brain was like "these videos are incredibly terrible". Haha I was like, fair enough! And man that would have been awesome to run into you. We've run into a few people who watch our videos after the fact but still have not run into anyone who have already seen or videos. Maybe we'll see you out there some day! -Robby
+AdventureArchives I hike all the time in ohio. If you come back to the area, I recommend wildcat hollow trail. It's a relatively short hike (15 miles), but it is a pretty diverse area. In addition, there are some pretty interesting sites along the way. We even found the remnants of an old cannon in a shed.
Sweet, I remember seeing that name somewhere, maybe on a map or something. I love finding cool old stuff like that. Thanks for the recommendation! -Robby
P. S. Great advice at the end. My wife and I just got back from Cumberland Falls State Park. Since she is pregnant, I figured we should get a cabin as opposed to tent camping! So, we stayed in the cabin which had an awful mattress, we tossed and turned for hours before bailing out and driving 3 hours back home, forgoing a morning hike we had planned. It's good to know we can still enjoy the memory :)
*bryan and robby getting continuously more concerned about Andrew's whereabouts.*
*cut to andrew talking to plants*
I love this channel lol.
It’s like Andrew is editing this video LOL and it makes this content interestingly hilarious
i guess it's kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good website to watch newly released series online ?
Thank you for a very pleasant visual experience for me, a 75 year old wheelchair bound retired Baptist pastor who used to love hiking and camping
Thank you so much for watching and for commenting! Really glad you enjoyed the video. Yellowstone will be coming out soon, and I hope you enjoy that one as well :) Cheers! -Andrew

-Andrew
There is something so completely relaxing about watching these. Thank you for these videos.
+Fish So good to hear you say that! It's great to know our videos are relaxing :) Thank you so much for watching! Cheers! -Andrew

This is the best outdoors channel on UA-cam.
+KingDennisJensen haha, thanks so much for the high praise! ~Bryan
7 years later and I'm flabbergasted why they don't have at least a million subscribers. Hands down the best backpacking/adventure channel on UA-cam, STILL.
Love the insert where u asked where's Thomas was hilarious.
+Sharonda London Haha, always gotta include Thomas somehow :) Thanks for watching!
"I don't think this is right"
@@AdventureArchives That one was excellent! Where was he? It looked really nice.
Finally a video about Ohio where people aren't making Ohio jokes
This video is from 7 years ago but I feel the need to say thank you for sharing your experiences. I enjoyed every bit of the high quality video and comments. +oliver klymiuk Thanks so much! That is flattering :) Thanks for watching! -Andrew
This is still a true statement.
Honestly this is one of my favorite channels of all time. I have no idea why they don't have more subs but they are amazing.
I doubt you folks still check this video, but I grew up hiking/swimming here.I live on the other side of the planet now, thank you for taking me back.
24:32 "sorry guys I was busy talking with the mushrooms" got me cracked up!
I really enjoyed this ! Thanks guys!

Wow first youtuber that has an annotation to skip the intro. You are awesome.
The editing and production of these full episodes are literally TV Hollywood worthy

its interesting how much emotion you guys show to each other
Haha, do you mean during the rain part?
i mean just how its expressed to each other as friends. its quite unique in my opinion
Very cool video. This is literally 10 minutes from my house. I've spent countless hours here hiking, kayaking and rock climbing. Great place!
Awesome - glad somebody who knows the place so well approves of the video! I'll have to go back sometime and paddle around. Thanks so much for watching! -Andrew

Loved it! However old these videos are, they are always as entertaining! 🙏
Great trip guys! The rain made it harder to hike, but the colors got so much brighter. Thanks for sharing!
So true! I love how the rain brings out the color in the forest. Thanks so much for watching, and glad you liked it! -Andrew
Thanks for making me feel good about my adventure opportunities in central Ohio!

Haha, thank you so much! And agreed!
Southern Ohio is a uniquely beautiful part of the state. Only driven through there but plan to go back and hike.
The music in the earlier episodes makes me feel so nostalgic ❤️
"Steinbrenner would be proud." True comic genius on your part Andrew!

Cheers! -Andrew
Amazing video. Love the sit down with Robby at the start about the 'right' way to do it...
+thedevilsbench thanks for watching brother! Glad you enjoyed it. But definitely learn from our mistakes and don't do it the wrong way haha -Robby
Seriously guys, this whole video is amazing. Music, production, very nicely done. Kudos!
+Mike Kessler Thank you so much for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for watching :) Cheers! -Andrew
yes i get super stoked every time you guys put up a new episode!
+Brandon m Awesome - this comment is music to my ears! Thank you so much for watching - and hopefully we'll be able to start putting an episode out each month soon! Cheers :) -Andrew
I love the Thomas clips and outtakes in this one!
I just hiked Vesuvius this weekend for the first time, it was a very nice trail. I think we were literally the only backpackers on the trail this weekend. Thank you for helping to inspire my trip!
This was great! Philosophy of Hiking and Camping in the Rain 101.
I lost it at the Thomas part.
Great episode Sleeper, sour kraut and fungi! ❤ 🤣. All about the adventure great words!
This a a great video, I live about ten minutes from Wayne National Forest. As someone who's just starting to get into backpacking this is very nice to see.
Awesome! Yeah, it's a great place to backpack, definitely recommended. -Robby
Bravo guys! Ya'll just keep getting better and better! Great music, outstanding cinematogrophy, nice dubbing and what a hilarious touch with Thomas being "lost"! I appreciate the hard work in making these vids!
+Ephemeral Rage Thank you so much!! That means so much to us, and we're really glad you enjoyed the video :) Thank you for watching! Cheers! -Andrew
Love your videos dudes. I've been watching for a while now, but just letting you know to keep it up! From New Zealand.
Thanks so much! Glad you've been enjoying them :) Hopefully some day we'll make it to NZ! Cheers -Andrew
I've been away from you tube for a few months for various reasons but I logged on today and lo and behold....another A.A. Epic adventure! Whoo! Anyway, I hope to get a reliable connection so I can continue to watch your channel and grow my own. Take care fellas' and thanks for taking us along!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video, and excited to see more of your vids :) Cheers, and thanks again for watching! -Andrew
~Bry
Really good video. Good stuff guys
Gah, what an amazing video. I reloaded it, and watched the whole ad and then clicked on it. May the adsense be with you both. Great channel and video.
+CedricAda Gear and Outdoors Ahhhhh, thank you!!! Hahaha that's what I'm talking about :) thanks so much and glad you like the videos! -Robby
Great channel! I love observing nature, discover and meditate...
I'm amazed by how you know the names of every plant and I'm impressed by your group's gentle approach. Thank you
Stunning visuals, guys with a goofy sense of humor.
-Andrew
Cool hike guys! Rain can be a bummer. I've woken up in a puddle a few times before...it sucks.
For sure. I'm fine if it's just falling while I'm hiking, but if it gets into the shelter, that's always bad, haha. Thanks for watching!
Cheers!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for watching :) Cheers! -Andrew
this is so relaxing to watch. thx for the effort! #whereisthomas rocks!
+Sebastian Vigl Thanks so much!
Excellent trip. We enjoyed the extra effort put into your camera angles. Thank you for sharing and we look forward to watching your next journey!
(--to be read David Letterman Top-10-style)
Number 10.
(...and so appropriate!)
(I'm not quite so cheerful when I get wet while camping.)
So glad I became a patron. This may be the 5th time I've watched this.

Cheers! -Andrew
+AdventureArchives
I'm going to the high country.
-Andrew
I’ve really enjoyed your video clip. Thanks a lot for sharing such nice scenery.
Awesome work guys! It's very nice to see men doing introspection and reflexion. I'm realy proud to be a patron :-)

I love your videos! I'm from southeast Ohio so this was interesting for me to see other perspective of this area.
Hi Guys, you have figured out the best way for your relationship with friends and nature. Hiking good thing to develop your condition, problem solving thinking and spent long time for your favorite pastime.
Phenomenal work, gentlemen. My wife and I love your videos. I'm passing it along to friends.
+Mark Kusnir Thank you so much!! Really glad you like the videos, and thank you for watching and sharing them :) Cheers! -Andrew
These videos are incredibly well made.
+Evan Brand Absolutely! Plus, sometimes the best things to look back on and laugh about are those times when things don't go right. Cheers! -Andrew
