CALL ME--PETULA CLARK (NEW ENHANCED VERSION) 2

- I decided to replace the last upload with this new one. There were some serious corrections that I wanted to fix. (1) There are parts of the song where original instruments and vocals are out of tune. Like 1:06-1:09 background vocals are out-of-tune so I had to remove a guitar that was layered over them that made it sound even worse.
I added some better guitar lead work on key verses and fixed the ending better by removing some tracks and recording news ones.
I got it to where the tonal quality and digital tuning is more uniform.
I've got to listen to the finished recording mix more closely before I finalize it. This is not easy work by a long shot but I love the challenge of doing it! Kenn
WAS AN HONOR TO HAVE MET THIS WONDERFUL LADY OF HER MANY PERFORMANCES THROUGH YEARS..CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF HER MUSIC!🥰🥰🥰

PETULA CLARK CBE THE Greatest Female Vocalist Of ALL TIME sings one of The Greatest songs of all time.
❤ PETULA CLARK CBE
THE ULTIMATE CLASSIC UNBEATABLE VERSION.❤
Ya know, i 've been a Pet Clark since the 60's...having said that, Pet can sing anything, even a NYC phone book and still catch me. . She is the greatest gift England has ever given the USA.
Petula Clark is THE GREATEST FEMALE VOCALIST OF ALL TIME.
I agree. My favorite English singer of all time.
Wait, so your name is also Petula Clark?
The producer on this song b should have been fired. she sounds harsh and she needs to sound sensual loving and accepting

I have some constructive criticism and some applause for the folks at the Music Enhancement Channel. I'm going to compare their work on Petula Clark to their work on the Dave Clark Five. I generally like their work on Petula Clark. In fact, on this particular song, "Call me," I think they hit a home run. Their additions are subtle, yet extremely effective. In fact, I come away liking this version more than the original. The additional guitar riffs are subtle, yet so complimentary to the original recording that you'd swear it was something added by Tony Hatch himself. This approach is generally true for all their Pet Clark redos, and they're all pretty good--but this one is especially good. It's a 10 out of 10 in my humble opinion--a real wow. It makes the song, which was only an album cut when released here back in 1965, sound like an A-side to a hit single. However, on the Dave Clark Five they've just got it all wrong. Their additions in their various DC5 editions are just far too pronounced. In some cases, like "Any Way You Want It," they just take over the song. This is true on several of them. For example, Denis Payton's sax solo in the middle of "Can't You See That She's Mine" is nearly buried by all the added mish-mash, which does nothing to enhance or improve not just the original recording, but the original "sound" of the song itself. I think the key here is not to completely reinvent the songs themselves, but to compliment them in such a way that is faithful to the "catchyness" (for lack of a better word) of that original sound that hooked us in to loving them to begin with. That's key.
I know, I know...this is just a subjective opinion, and I can't imagine all the work that goes into these redos. My compliments to all the effort that the Music Enhancement Channel puts in. But when you're doing a redo like this, I think it's too tempting to let your creativity go too far. I think the key to success is to be more latent in one's approach than overt--and sometimes that very hard to do. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work. Greg in Oregon
We appreciate your hard word. It's music to my ears!
SH'E'S GOOD!
I've heard this song since grade school and never noticed the trombone blast at the beginning. WoW !
Sounds fantastic & bit more powerful.
Radio stations in the 1970's use a high end audio compressor to make records more powerful. It did wonders for most of the records but sometimes they needed remastering for better stereo imaging. And even remastering does not solve the whole problem even with CD's. So I've been taking it to the next level by adding new multitrack instrumentation to give it more power, and dynamic range the original did not have. Kenn
Sweet song and adorable singer.
Wonderful Recording! Wonderful Song!
So enjoyable. Absolutely perfect!
I am consistently "blown away" be the subtle enhancements, augmentations and additions that Kenn Wingle and his "The Music Enhancement Channel" can do to the songs that form the soundtrack of my life. Atta Boi, Kenn!
i love this singer!!
Excelente version de esta melodia que tambien la canto Cris montez que recuerdos inolvidables de mi juventud
La de Petula Llámame es la version original pero hay una muy buena con Cris Montz que definitivamente lanzo esta canción mundialmente en 1966.

One of your most impressive creations in your fantastic collection. Thank you for sharing.
Great work!! Sounds great.. It's your version I'm using on my Playlists.
Kenn! You did a great job on 'Call Me'. The song never sounded better. Thank you!
I grew up listening to this girl
She reminds me of my mom
Thanks so much, sir. This is a magnificent improved recording of my favorite Petula Clark song. I have always loved the resonant acoustic quality present in popular music recordings made in the 60s. It's rich and dynamic. When I was a little kid I had a collection of Ray Connif (sic) and the Singers LPs which, of course, featured that distinct, lush audio effect. I'm looking forward to hearing and enjoying more of your fine work. Thanks again!
Beautiful performance

When you have heard Frank Sinatra's version of this great song then you really do appreciate the fact that Petula decided to record it.
Frank turned down the tempo to around 10 where as Petula turned it up just right.
The totally perfect speed for the song.
And OF COURSE PETULA's vocals were THE perfect match.
Petula is MAGNIFICENTLY Outstanding as always.
Nice try Frank.
However NO Frank.
Yes. This is better than Sinatra's version.
@@bigs50s ya but mike flowers pops version beats all. lol
NO WAY,NO WAY,NO WAY!!!!
PETULA CLARK'S VERSION IS THE ULTIMATE VERSION.
THE BEST RENDITION EVER.
Mike Flowers version as got to be a joke version it can not be taken seriously honestly it just can not be it is horrendous.
It sounds as if you have put a 45rpm record on at 33 1/3 rpm.
It Is Sooooooooooooooooooooooo
S-L-O-W!!!!
So Frank Sinatra didn't record the worst version of this classic song after all.
That AS got to go to this atrocious rendition.

My song
This was the theme music for Bill Jackson on CJCA Edmonton "Nightline" at 10pm. I thought it was brilliant as a 7 year old kid in Alberta back them
Great northern soul classic
Incredible work
This should have been a Top-40 hit by Petula Clark. It was for Chris Montez. Superlative job by Kenn Weigel. Enjoy.
Don’t give up/kiss me goodbye!😬
I have heard so many arrangements of this song and I still prefer the Petula Clark version.. the others are too slow for me..this sounds fine
😘💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕Pétula
I'm pretty sure Jimmy Page played session guitar on Down Town.
can you do "you never talked about me" by Del Shannon please
Thank you for post your work, really great job you've done. But personally I prefer the original version with out-of-tune stuff.
Songs for singers.
Like number 420 - call me
Sounds great! How do you remove the offending parts? Do you have the stems?
No me
I discovered this song because Jerry Lewis sings an alternate version for his Telethon.
Are you accusing Tony Hatch of being out of tune?
This is one of the reasons I no longer hit the "Liked" videos icon.
