An update on Julie's health and post op recovery.
A Wheeler At Large is out cycling again this time on the Giant Revolt. Gravel Bike with friends enjoying some Gnarly climbs on the Isle of Purbeck.

Great ride all - but some brutal looking climbs! The rewards though look excellent - those views!
That loco is a Battle of Britain Class Bulleid Pacific, or 'Spam Can,' and was built in 1947 apparently. Ugly great things though, not like GWR locos at all 😎 One of the planet's greatest smells to be found there though - steam engines. A heady mix of steam, grease, oil, paint and polish 😍 Other great smells are freshly cut grass, coffee, bread and especially Castrol R 😍😍

Even from the road it was a hulking great loco.
They have open days and visiting locos, quite an active railway.
"Liquid engineering" I know Castrol GTX but I never had the pleasure of R 😁

@@WheelersAtLarge Ah Castrol R - ask any motorsports enthusiast of a certain age about it and watch their eyes light up. It was an oil for racing engines and gave off a rather pleasant but strong aroma! 😍

That was a great route, Mike. I'm watching this the day after you posted it, after returning from my road trip to ride the Route of the Hiawatha. As you folks over the pond would say, that bucket item is done and dusted. It is good to hear that things went well with Julie's procedure. Please give her a hug for me, and let her know there is more positive energy heading her way. I also let out my first yeehaw in the middle of the 1.6 mile tunnel on the Hiawatha. It seemed like it echoed for minutes.
Thank you John, the Purbecks aren't really my cup of tea 😁 too much up and down, not enough pedalling but the ride was fun 👍 Julie's getting better everyday, a few weeks and she should be back on a bike.🤞

Try some grease on your mech hanger and thru axel - that sorted me out on my revolt.
Awesome ride. And congrats on getting up that one spot for the first time. Great advice for loosing up you arms and grip. I always grab hard. Tell Julie tasha max and I say hello. What a great video.

Mike great news re julie. I like your solo rides for example the christmas eve when you were on your own. Julie glad your recovering but keep keen on the swelling. @WheelersAtLarge last time we were there was 2004, but my father went there in the 1950's, in 2004 nothing had changed much, still a 2 room old house, with a locals bar, and a visitors bar. we asked, have you anything to eat? he replied yes, cornish pastie, ok 2 please, only to be told they had not arrived yet!!
Still they were wonderfully fresh when they did. Cutlery in a beer glass, upside down of course, but having walked from Kimmeridge we were so grateful, and after to Swanage, via Durlston Head Hotel for tea. The manager right out of Faulty Towers...great day....

ive put some of that foam pipe lagging around my handlebar ..had it on for a few weeks and im finding it pretty comfy

Seems to be reliable these days, haven't had a complete failure in a long time 😁
when your tyre goes a bit soft, put another dose of gunk in at home and spin the wheel and go for a ride.
DO NOT over inslate your tyre.
DO NOT twist the valve when inflating, one can break the seal.
