How to disassemble your Clearview mirror to replace the tension spring

Can the convex mirror be removed with glass attached? as would make reloading shafts in 100% easier. With it removed then put on later. Have repaired a few for people where bottom cam has sheared welds off bumping bushes. Reassembling these units not so easy.
