Lorraine Johnson retired from wrestling too soon.She had alot of good years left.She just like wrestling great aj lee, wrestlng great Betty Nicoli, wrestling great Beautiful Vivian Vachon.They retired too soon.all 4 are great Hall Fame wrestlers.
Question, can someone explain why I can't find any footage of Mae Young? I've seen wrestling matches from Mildred Burke, & June Byars. But no footage of the ''Great'' Mae Young
She was powerbombed through table in WWE and stuff... or you mean her in youth? Maybe not in this territory. But the more I see it seems that Moolah completely destroyed women's wrestling, and it took until like 2016 or something to make it something other than short catfights with scratching and hair pulls.

I am full of admiration of the outstanding all-round physical fitness of both these members pf the supposedly 'gentler sex'. The cut of their swimsuits displays their superlative upper bodies. The action packed last few minutes displays their magnificent cardio-vascular conditioning.
This looks much closer to modern pro wrestlng than in the men's matches on this channel I've seen so far. Seems like the women were the true innovators in the early days of the business.
Thanks for the upload, really good match, I sort of unfairly prejudged this one before actually watching. That double knee drop to the opponent on the middle rope was fucking awesome.

Only found out a few weeks ago that Lorraine's daughter was Baby Doll, who valeted in World Class Championship Wrestling and Jim Crockett Promotions. Pretty cool to have that lineage.
Now Baby Doll's daughter Samantha Starr (who is also Jake "The Snake" Roberts niece) wrestles for the NWA (3rd generation).
