That has nothing to do with imaginary tribal god or creator. It's common sense; it's higher human thought and thinking: we could do evil things to ourselves and to those around us; or we could do great things for ourselves and for others around us.
Some of us could do very little (a person born with serious mental deficiencies, with very low functioning brain power or IQ, for example, could barely button their shirt or tie their shoe laces; they they still are human beings, just like very old or very young people who are totally helpless).
Some of us, however, could do a lot, if we put our minds to it; if we are willing: we could learn complex algorithms for computers, learn complex mathematics; learn about how the stars and galaxies work so on and so forth. We could do that whether we believe in your Middle Eastern Stone, Iron, and Bronze age tribal god or whether we believe in Hinduism or Buddhism or Animism or Ancestors spirits or Great Spirits of the Skies.
Or we could do all that ---- the extremely cruel things or the most uplifting things ---- without believing in any of these ENDLESS Stone, Iron, and Bronze age tribal fairy tale gods and creators...
We COULD easily choose --- and SHOULD choose --- to be as moral, as ethical, as kind as possible WITHOUT a need to crave for imaginary eternal rewards or a fear of eternal damnation ("if I do bad things, the creator of the universe could send me to hell forever," etc. ad nauseam), of some imaginary omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent Being looking at us and knowing our every thought and action.... an imaginary Being, again, who rewards us for "good" behaviors and who punishes us for "bad" behaviors, etc. THAT approach to life and living is just PRIMITIVE childishness...
