netherite armor is litterally just diamond armor but with antikb so the only reason to get netherite is either for the advancement cover me in debris, pvp reasons, or just to show it off.
Netherite is better than diamond, of course, but diamond is easier to get especially with 1.20 and it’s also pretty durable

The difference between netherite and diamond gear
diamond is easy to get and can be bought by villagers
Netherite gear can't burn or take lose durability to fire or lava and is more durable than diamonds
Conclusion: both are good in their own ways and you shouldn't hate them because they are both good
absolutely trye
netherite is actually bad because you can spend up to hours trying to get it but it really only applies +1 of a stat like on tools and armour +1 knockback resistance so if you are unlucky i could take up to 2 hours to just the armour set on in that time you can get started on projects

Armour toughness is also provided which reduces the amount of damage you take just watch a DMG comparison video and you'll see netherite allows you to take less damage and also has a higher chance to get good enchants on the table than diamond
