I though with precious metal, that chrono was reasonable but if you go on the secondary, Breguets with enamel dials and hand finished chronographs are priced at $26,000. So, it may be over priced, certainly not an attractive price for the package. Can it be improved, may be an exotic dial or more complex case, even at that. Price may need reconsideration.

Manufacturer starts putting date window at 1:30 or 4:00 etc happens when they are trying to cram too many complications onto the dial. Looks terrible IMO. 6 o'clock or don't bother. Cheers 😅
I think it's an excellent watch. I haven't done a review of one on the channel yet. Also look into Glycine Combat Sub. Like Certina it also offers great value for money.
Tag does not have the patent on square watches for the union to be a square watch there's nothing wrong with it I personally love square watches. When you do the split window the way the Monaco is done and the way the union is done yeah your borderline almost infringement here. However a Monaco cost you roughly $8,100 retail I'm not sure what the union cost if it's more or if it's less it could be that someone like myself who loves the Monaco and who actually owned one at one time and like an idiot got rid of it. Once one but doesn't want to quite pay $8,100 for it who knows I personally love them The Bell and Ross the Hublot the any of those square watches I absolutely love

That's why you folks don't appreciate the Neo Kung Orienta. But in reality, it's rather baffling to generalize it as a "Seagull inspired watch made by a Chinese company and selling for $40k". It is a highly finished and modified handwound chronograph movement in a platinum case, made by an independent watchmaker(regardless of what the origin of country is). Most if not all of its parts were handmade by that same watchmaker. It is also absolutely silly to say that "Rolex/AP can charge that amount of money but not other watch brands because R/AP are more recognized". Independent watchmakers like Philippe Dufour, FPJ, Kari Voutilainen, etc., are charging more for their watches all the time, and people who can actually afford them, pay for them. Yeah I know you folks don't appreciate something like that, and that's okay. It's not like you can afford it anyway😂

They are all terrible 😭 except the Luminox. The Luminox imo is mid but a Dive Watch like this being mid doesn’t stand a chance in the competition of Divers. There are too many similar watches in this segment and some are perfect.
I will never understand why ppl will buy precious metal watches for 30 40 50k from rolex or AP call it value then someone from china offers a smillar platinum watch, ever one from the west calls it not worth it low value dont buy its junk.
Because the platinum watch from Rolex/AP at a similar price point has a brand everyone in the world almost recognizes and this doesn't. So why not stretch your budget a few K more and get that. If the platinum Chinese watch were half the price, then it might be value
No one has disputed me that Automatic Chronographs are useless. You can do better with a $20 Casio or your smartphone. It’s a useless complication. A vintage chrono sure a modern chrono not needed not I know anyone that uses one.
I have the same belief, and unfortunately chronograph movements have a very high cost associated compared to other cool aesthetic movement complications like GMT or even moon phase disc, so I'm basically not in the market for one

You can get a good watch directly from Sea-Gull for a little more than 100 dollar. Not a chronograph, but precisely the better for that reason.

I've been looking into Neo Kung lately... There's a lot of buzz around it. Even the design is similar to Seagull watches... Very puzzled myself..

Luminox traditionally has thicker straps for whatever it is sized as it appeals to their target audience

No one really does use it, it's all about the looks and esthetics. Same goes for dive time bezels, gmt hands...

@@bolchert agree except the GMT hands. I worked for an int company and traveled 18 times a year or so. GMT complete useful and un ubiquitous.
