I would have taken the thin foam out from under the radio and put the thicker foam in that place and that would make the radio sit a little more flush with the top foam and the radio still have plenty of protection and the case not be so hard to close. The compressed foam doesn't provide as much shock protection as the uncompressed foam does.
I have three of those cases from Harbor Freight. I even have one for my cell phone for protection and blocking external sounds to its microphone. Keeping Google honest, you know. ;o)
thumbs up on the video. How do you get through TSA with your 20ah @ 256wh battery, when the rule is no more than 160wh, has TSA change their polices. That's way I had to purchase two 12ah batteries and not use my 20ah battery.
Myself personally haven't tried to bring my HF radio/battery onboard an aircraft. It's a risk your taking when you transport your batteries. It depends on TSA agent whether they know the minimum Watt Hours. Maybe a viewer can share their experience in this comments.
@@cliftonhead9665 lol... When I go on vacation with family, I remote in to my QTH to operate remote HF. That way, I don't have to bring my equipment with me. I just rag chew with fellow hams.
Hello Captain Darren, your video is very good. It is an excellent way to protect the equipments 👍🏻👍🏻 73’s
Thank you Javier!
you can use something like paint or plastic dip to keep the foam from collapsing over time
Dope name😎
