  • I had zero interest in running a hydraulic brake light switch. From owning the '54 and '51 Chevys I liked their brake light switch. Not only do they work with a through the floor pedal but they're waterproof and reliable. Oh and don't worry I have a replacement floor pan for the car.

It's been a while since you did this but, wondered if you thought about allowing any adjustment in your switch lever?
I'm not trying to be critical at all about what you're doing, but I notice that your brake pedal arm is missing the thick rubber stop block that keeps the pedal arm from contacting the floor and having the possibility of wearing through the floor board and possibly becoming stuck and without brakes. When that is on the pedal arm it moves the pedal down about a half an inch in resting position.
I have the same switch and am going to do something similar to what you have done except I'm going to use a piece of angle attached to the arm and tap a hole in it for an adjustable bolt to activate the switch. then it can be fine tuned as needed.

It has the stop on it although it could stand to be replaced. My intention was to remove the arm and drill a hole. The bolt to remove it I'm assuming is on backwards, because it his the frame and can't come out. That's why I ended up welding the piece to the arm. Now my biggest concern is the Reds prevent pipe. It's contacting the arm now
