Close but no. It's the owner and coach that had major issues. The owner never liked Salah for 3 years. Arron only played with Salah for 5 games so that not a reason to fire him. Btw for context Rodgers understood if they loss to the Vikings he might get fired which would explain why he played thru the injury during that game.

so Saleh's defense plays consistently well and loses games where they hold opponents to 10 pts because the 41 year old 1 legged conspiracy theorist who only wants to play with his drinkin buddies can barely string 2 decent quarters together..... the Head Coach has to walk on eggshells to not upset a washed up diva has-been and keep a buffoon unqualified OC on his staff because Aaron likes to throw darts with him, but the fact that the team can't win because Rodgers' offense literally isn't even better than Zach Wilson's is supposed to be Saleh's fault? lol yeah ok🙄

The fact that we actually had respected voices out here defending him for missing mandatory minicamp and finding any way they could to shift blame to Salah is crazy to me.

Zack Wilson was Saleh fault because it was him and his coaches picked him out of the draft and the GM had no choice but to give his brand new coach the QB he wanted. That said, Rodgers is the Jets owners boy. He hand picked him and flew out to California to meet with him.
That said, Saleh is a horrible NFL head coach (second worse only to Siriani) and great DC, but Rodgers is an even larger problem, and everyone knew GB fleeced the Jets. Hackett is the worse OC in all football, but won't be gone until Rodgers is gone. That can't come soon enough.

Watched Rodgers here in Wisconsin. His legs went about 2 years before the trade. Packers GM did well to dump him for some value. A tremendous player in his prime, but that was over years before the trade. Just a soap opera now. The problems with the Jets seem to start with the owner. Lots of mistakes.
Robert Selah drafted Zach Wilson & he along with everyone bought into the Next Patrick Mahomes off platform throw hype train. He dug his own grave in an offensive head coach era. The only aspect he’s done great in was get Sauce Gardner. Aaron Rodger just got here technically this year. Selah been going downhill. Rodger doesn’t take the blame at least not yet. Again Saleh drafted his guy in Zach Wilson, did he not?
We are finally back to a state of balance in the universe. The Jets just need to be dysfunctional. I have been watching football since I was a kid in the early 90s, and the Jets have reliably just been weird and dysfunctional.

As a Vikings fan, I'm very surprised. The Jets were the toughest team Minnesota has played this season. Salah's defense was legit af! Rodgers is why they lost their last 2 games...
Imo the oline is the one selling games. They give hall and allen almost nothing to work with and have rodgers throwing fast so he doesn't get killed.

Jets are laughable. Rogers throws three INTs and can't even pass for over 100 yards and the HC gets fired? The HC who takes care of the DEFENSE??? Jets didn't allow 30-40 points....Rogers didn't do his part.

As a Jets fan, i can tell you Saleh should've been fired before the Jets got Rodgers. Zach Wilson bought him extra time. Look up his record with extra prep time, in December, against his own division and against teams .500 or better. He was a terrible in-game adjuster. His defense is solid, but it needs stars, and many times when the Jets needed a stop, it couldn't do it.
You’re literally asking the defense to make up for the shortcomings of the QB that was supposedly the only missing piece to the playoff puzzle. That just doesn’t make any sense.
@Jcs57 Saleh's def has only finished top ten in pts against once in 3 years. He runs an outdated Seattle def that completely relies on hof level pass rush and the rare LB that can cover like a db. 4 teams run it. Indy, The Jets, SF, and GB. The Jets regularly couldn't get stops when they had too. And imo he purposefully wouldn't use Sauce to shadow more often because he wanted.his scheme to get the credit. And let's not forget The Jets had last place or 3rd place schedules throughout his time.

IMPULSIVE owner made an IMPULSIVE decision and not the jets in a must win game for a division now has more drama because of the owner. Salah was 20-36 as a HC. Your record is what it is and he wasn’t getting it done. Now the Jets being the Jets should have fired him before the season and taken a shot at Vrabel etc…. versus 5 games into a new season when you are in the division race.

This is not about feeling good. Saleh seems like a good guy. But as a jets fan that watches every snap since he's there, he was a terrible coach. Never made any adjustments, always had most penalties, terrible scheme, etc.

It should've been Hackett first but Saleh needed to go one way or the other. Constant lazy play, clearly no accountability being taken with lazy penalties, starting games extremely slow on both sides of the ball, etc. Saleh is a nice dude and knows defense but he's not a HC right now
