I dropped outta high school bc all my teachers were tryna set me up for college n shit but I couldn’t afford it and I was ALWAYS falling behind in my grades but they never tried to help, they only told me I needed to do better and even acknowledged I needed help and asked if there was sum going on at home but didn’t try to do anything 😭😭 once I fully dropped out tho my mental health SKYROCKETED and I feel sm better and free now. All imma say now is whatever you need to do for yourself, DO IT!!! You’re worth SO MUCH more than a letter on a piece of paper. Never let anyone drag you down and belittle your self esteem or trash your dreams. You go be an actor or an artist, sing all those songs you wrote in your notes app or sell those little crafts you love making. And even if you plan on graduating and going to college and majoring in criminology or English, engineering or law, science or history, you’re still doing something amazing and you’re going to help make the world a better place regardless of what you decide to do. Be yourself and achieve your dreams, bc you’re awesome and I believe in you.

Not to be sentimental on a youtube comment section but trying to be that college kid when you aint that college kid is a fucking waste -- i graduated hs in 2012 and its hitting me in the face recently all the years I wasted. Thanks for the lines at 5:37 . When everyone around you is telling you to not even try and what they do want you to try is killing you at a soul level... after all this time I'm done trying and this came out at the right time for me. THANK YOU for spreading awareness about Palestine.
It's VERY rare to hear creators talk about it, and surprisingly so. Every other cause, it's always everyone coming in to spread awareness, but I'd hardly seen that with the Palestinian genocide.
I'm glad to know that the situation is reaching more people, and that the more people learn about it, the more awareness that can be spread.
Also the whole speech was really nice.
Schools almost never care about what you want to do if it's not school related, but if they did care, they could learn more about it and maybe even help you to grow in whatever you want to do in life.

@@honkdishScratch the controversy was like soo 2017, but I’m not lying. Melanie shows her support to Palestine in her concerts like in the portals tour after her speech, she yells out Free Palestine. And in her recent tour aka the Trilogy Tour, during the K-12 act, an interlude of the principal plays and in the projector, it shows signs like “free Palestine” “your silence won’t protect you” “resistance is love” and other stuff like that

This is gonna be a long one so, uh, you've been warned.
Tomorrow was already about to be a rough day. It SHOULD by my graduation but I gotta do summer school to graduate because of a health crash. So while stuck at home, I turned to trying to start UA-cam and Twitch so that, if nothing else, I did something.
The entire time I got yelled at by family (even in the few weeks I've started) because "oh what about your education? How's this gonna help you be a lawyer?" Well it might not. But its something that can be enjoyable and entertaining and fun.
I know that tomorrow I won't walk the stage or hear my schools graduation speech. But if I can say anything, Tuv's is 10000% better than any my school can give.
I had friends who'd say "yeah I wanna be an actor" "Yeah I wanna do streaming" and it'd be like Tuv said. Disappointment, rudeness, just being a dick because some people wanted to do something else. I'd say "Yeah I plan on being a lawyer then a law professor" and I'd get celebrated and if someone asked why me not the other kids, the staff would say "well they don't want a real job".
If for some reason you've read this far, don't give up. Rather its a "classic" job or an entertainer, whatever it is, don't give up. Passion is what drives anything.
And to any fellow Class of 2024, congrats on graduating

As someone who almost dropped out of high school to graduating from university, I agree with Tuv on what he said. I remember finishing high school and not knowing what I wanted to do with my life and since I had horrible grades from high school my only option was community college. I viewed CC as a fresh new slate to do better than what I did in high school. And I can tell you that going to CC was the best choice I made. Most high school students who are recent high school graduates don't have that mental maturity to continue college. Well at least from my own experience I wasn't mature, but I learned along the way and took my education seriously. I graduated from CC and transferred over to a Cal State university. It took me 8 years to FINALLY graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an HR concentration. My last year of university was difficult due to making some mistakes in my life and being a single mom with a newborn/toddler. But I kept going! So, if you're thinking about going to CC instead of a university, let me tell you that it doesn't matter which school you go to (prestigious or not) what matters is the education you are getting and the passion you have to pursue your dream. Don't let anyone invalidate your decision! Side note: CC is typically much cheaper than university... also if you live in California, CC is free for the first two years. Take advantage of that!
As for Tuv, you're right you could've graduated, but you pursued your passion instead of college and I think that is far more greater than any education you could've pursued. While at the time no one congratulated you on pursuing a higher education. Let me be the one to congratulate you for taking that first step in wanting to pursue a higher education. Perhaps someday you may want to finish that degree and if not, that's okay too! I just want to say that either way I am proud of you for having that desire to go to college. Your success, with or without, a college degree is very notable and for that you should be proud of it!Keep on working hard on your channel and yourself, because you're doing great things in life. :)
