+Fanorlon X Possibly, but I might cover it in segments of my 10 interesting facts series. I already covered the creation of Stormwind and Ironforge in one of the episodes, can't remember which.
Doronsmovies Sounds Good. It was just a suggestion. I'd think it would be good since it is a subject that people are already familiar with yet want to learn more about.
+JeroenDoes This was really vaguely explained. As far as I can remember the goblins were more intelligent in the past 200-300 years than they are now. It is uncertain how exactly kaja'mite affects them. I'm guessing since now they were exposed for thousands of years it must have somehow altered their DNA so that they have a certain limit of intelligence they can't go under. Just my speculation though.
That's a good question! As I remember Lorerunner talked about it and mentioned that goblins have to constantly take kaja'mite to remain sane. Remember Kaja'Cola?
+Araash Hussain Goblins and Gnomes are getting Mechanical pets as hunters, that plus traps and engineering profession is probably the closest we'll get.
+Erectile Reptile It isn't specified. My guess is that it's either a natural element or possibly even the blood of Y'Shaarj or N'Zoth. It could also explain the huge deposit of kaja'mite, the place where the old god was pulled from.
Doronsmovies makes that it could be old god blood, but one more thing is it ever depicted if already intelligent races like gnomes started being effected by kajamite?
wasnt something about the devolution of their tecnology coz it was based of kajamite and it now was rare to find? and there was some thing about potion that they were really good at?
Considering that there is no "Hur durr a god made robots and then curse of flesh" (Thank god) origin lore for them, i like to think that Goblins are relatives to Trolls, who evolved naturally on Azeroth. Maybe Goblins started out as Pigmy Trolls before branching off into their own thing. Considering how much they look like one another though, they have GOT to be related somehow.
i have an idea what if blizz don't add new races but origins to all the races like a night elf you can make him a high elf and high born or the dwarves you can make them dark iron and wild hammer
+Aleksandar Milanov I'm pretty sure Goblins *were* the primordial race and that they had no ancestor. I think they existed on Azeroth before the Titans destroyed the Black Empire since the Faceless one that Goblins fight in their starting zone mentions that he remembers when the Goblin race was created, maybe it was the Old Gods that created them. They were probably slaves of the Black Empire I'd imagine.
+Aleksandar Milanov They are a native race. Most of the native races along with the Wild Gods were created when the Keepers ordered the world and created enclaves of nature.
it cudv almost been the players which would be cool and all but would trouble blizzard and scramble goblin lore for ages to come. though I wish goblin players got some recognitions from other goblin NPCs of same faction. but ye mostly wishful thinking
Amazing poor lore for the race. No really - we know nothing about premitive goblin race or it's origins, we know nothing about why goblins posses their racial traits like love to explosions and engeneering at all, recklessness or greed (at least i thought they posses this traits). All this story about is how goblins build up their inteligence, lost it and build it up again. A bit empty story. I feel ashamed for poor goblins. They deserve better.
It's better than what I expected :P I just wish they'd get a bit more love from the Blizzard lore gods - I mean employees - and get a more solid story that continues to evolve, instead of being the camera crew all the time.
Goblins used to be Pygmies - they can be found in dungeons across Uldum. They evolved due to Kajamite exposure. But yeah there are in-game models of Pygmies.
But in BaF they said that zandalaris are completely against slavery, thus i think they didn't enslaved gobs, it was Rather another race of trolls, or your video it's wrong i dont know.
Are the gnomes and goblins relatives? Because they are both from Mimiron. The 2 races fighting over technology and despising each other turn out to be relatives. Oh my.
Gnomes were originally Mechagnomes but with Yogg or C'thunn (I cant remember which) gave them the curse of flesh - thuse they became the fleshy Gnomes we know today. But yeah, originally robot constructs. Not unsimiliar to how dwarves and humans came from stone constructs of the titan-forged.
Wait. They got cut from the supply of the ore so that they couldnt keep their intelligence. But the Zandalari discovered Kezan, the Goblins and a huge amount of kaja'mite to last thousand lifetimes. Am i just stupid or does that really not make sense why the goblins not used the ore and thus lost their intelligence?
I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed with this new goblin lore. I had hoped at length that Blizzard would do the sensible thing and make them a subspecies of trolls due to their obvious similarity with the latter, and that they in turn could have a "link" between them, or perhaps an ancestor in the drogbar that we see in legion. It's just neater to have most intelligent races related to each other or falling in under some common classification or a few family trees (f.ex. the tita-forged tree includes dwarves, gnomes, humans and so forth, while the troll tree so far includes all trolls and elves and naga and so forth). I guess it's still possible, though. They didn't mention what race it was that Mimiron found. Maybe they were some kind of primitive, tiny proto-trolls or something.
+Enthused Norseman It just doesn't make much sense to make everything like: "You have a brain and haven't evolved from monkeys? You are a troll-descendant!!!"
+Enthused Norseman I don't think it's that bad, the trolls aren't the one native race that the others evolved from. It is unspecified what the original form of the goblins was but it is mentioned like this: "Some of these test subjects were members of a small, primitive race that roamed the forestlands near Ulduar."
*Groups battle each other*
*Groups make a truce*
*Groups battle each other... economically*
I don't know why I laughed at this
Are goblins just an allegory for modern humans?
@@niydfass1060 goblins are the closest to real life America that there is
Hey Doran, love your videos, Would you ever consider doing City lore. Such as a video on Thunderbluff or Ironforge?
That's a great idea, don't know the lore of much of it
+Fanorlon X Possibly, but I might cover it in segments of my 10 interesting facts series. I already covered the creation of Stormwind and Ironforge in one of the episodes, can't remember which.
Doronsmovies Sounds Good. It was just a suggestion. I'd think it would be good since it is a subject that people are already familiar with yet want to learn more about.
+Noah Maldonado It wasn't said what is is but it could be possible.
Glad to see the Goblins get some more lore.
Is this based on a true story?
+Hellscream Of course.
+Hellscream yea, it's doronsmovies, him and nobel always tell the true lore
+Rex Noct Yes, unlike this impostor Hellscream who always tells false lore.
Doronsmovies this is true!
+Doronsmovies Dorons VS Hellscream beef confirmed?!?! XD
4:03 Party hard in Goblins Style XD
ur videos are awesome! I'm really new to WoW so ur videos help a lot. and subtitles on the videos are also really good.
+lpapapa Thanks, glad it helped. :)
Why did the intelligence of the goblins stay after they left the mines the second time?
+JeroenDoes This was really vaguely explained. As far as I can remember the goblins were more intelligent in the past 200-300 years than they are now. It is uncertain how exactly kaja'mite affects them. I'm guessing since now they were exposed for thousands of years it must have somehow altered their DNA so that they have a certain limit of intelligence they can't go under. @@MagnetTheSteven That's a cool theory!
damn dude all your videos are so casually cool and informative on WoW lore
I must protect my schmeckles
Really nice video!
You should explain each cartel :D, like the venture co., bilgewater, etc
+Victor Rotciv Thanks. I doubt that would be enough for the video but in the last 10 Interesting wow facts I covered Venture co.
There needs to be a mechanic/engineer class...
+Araash Hussain It definitely would be pretty interesting.
I think Tinker would be correct term for that. But yeah, there's much lore background for it to happen
It would work for Dwarf, Gnome and Human for alliance and Orc, Undead and Goblin for Horde.
I'd love to see a tinker class coming up.
A Tinker Class would be awesome.
+Araash Hussain Goblins and Gnomes are getting Mechanical pets as hunters, that plus traps and engineering profession is probably the closest we'll get.
So they became dumb when they were cut off from the magic crack, yet there was literally more then anyone could ever need right under neath them?
Just goes to show how stupid they are if they forgot the very source of their enhanced intellect was right under that large noses.
Love these. It's fascinating for the stuff I dont know ty Doron gr8 job :D
hey doron, love your work, you should make a video on the origin of Illidan as a demon hunter
good work buddy !
+Alton Thanks. :)
you should make lore about all the races and classes
+Akke I have, check out my race rp guides. Even if you don't rp I still cover the lore of the races.
+Doronsmovies oh okey i will thx doron :D
duude do more of these origin ones :)
Do forsaken deathstalkers
I like that most of your videos seek to sate curiosity. You ask the what if's and try your best to answer them intelligently.
what actually is kajamite tho like is it just some random magic ore or is it old god blood or maybe does it come from the titan soul?
+Erectile Reptile It isn't specified. My guess is that it's either a natural element or possibly even the blood of Y'Shaarj or N'Zoth. It could also explain the huge deposit of kaja'mite, the place where the old god was pulled from.
Doronsmovies makes that it could be old god blood, but one more thing is it ever depicted if already intelligent races like gnomes started being effected by kajamite?
I think not.
Awesome video, nobody ever focuses on this race :P
That made me want to make a goblin haha
What about Gilblins?! They're my favorite... I wish they were a playable sub-race.
I think that scientist that made Intelligent baby raptor made the gilblins and not sure if they are failure or success, you can blame that guy
Yes hobart grapplehammer does actually talk about gilblins in the starting zone
Cheers ! another good video !
+Amer Murad Thanks. :)
I love your videos they are the best
Always making something different rather than the story of "insert tittle" lore video. Thanks Doron
goblins are my favourite race!! xD
Goblin rule 34 your welcome
Me too dude.
Great vid ! This might be a stupid question but ; is there any origins lore to the Taurens? ... I have looked around and haven't found any :/
+ravens nest Yes it is also explained in the Chronicle, the next video will be about that.
awsome ! looking forward to the next video :)
Lore on eredar and moonkins next!! love your videos man. Keep it up and Nobbel will have a rival!! jk :-)
i kind of wanna look for this primitive race that mim tested on! I wonder how close to Ulduar they were.

What are the different Cartels?
+Sam Tak Bilgewater Cartel, Venture Company, Steamwheedle Cartel.
It's 3 am and im fucked up but I needed to hear you slavic godlike voice. And without further adue.....(complete that)
Soo, Kajamite is Azerite?
I think Kajamite is more like some natural form of fel, the two have some strong similarities when you think about it.
I wonder where all this kaja'mite that the Zandalari has gathered for these thousands years has gone
Hey Doron, haven't the goblins evolved from the trolls? If they didn't from what primordial race have they evolved?
+Aleksandar Milanov I'm pretty sure Goblins *were* the primordial race and that they had no ancestor. u should make a 1v1 vs nobble in the wow lore.
huh I always thought the goblin race was a evolved race from the trolls like the night elves due to the kaja'mite
So they are not ancient ancestors of the troll? i think I've heard that before somewhere.
Goblin master race.
do they explained the origins of Taurens?
+Greenchili Studioz That will be the next video.
They came from the middle east
Wow thats pretty accurate lol
Not really middle east people kinda tall and savage ,and asia is pretty short and they pretty advance in the brain, more like asia to me
IZZAT SHOKRI More like jews to me with their large nose and obsession with gold
who is leading the goblins???
Each Cartel has it's leader
pretty sure the main "leader" if you could define a goblin leader would be Trade Prince Gallywix
it cudv almost been the players which would be cool and all but would trouble blizzard and scramble goblin lore for ages to come. though I wish goblin players got some recognitions from other goblin NPCs of same faction. but ye mostly wishful thinking
Gallywix is only the leader of the Bilgewater Cartel, the other cartels all have their own Trade Princes.
Aren't they relaives to the trolls?
+Nasko Kolev Nope, they are a native race of their own.
The sunwell, the moonwell and the kaja'mite well maybe ?
Don't forget Azerite.
Niiiiice!!!
Does this mean that mimiron made creatures with the curse of flesh? Why are there no mecha goblins?
+Mike Hunt He didn't as I said he found a native race roaming around near Ulduar and tested on them.
Doronsmovies This was well after the war between the old gods and titans?
+Mike Hunt Yes. Check out the first part of the summary I did on the Chronicle it explains that part.
Doronsmovies I did maybe i'm wrong but i have legit no idea where the Goblins came from if they were just a native race.
Amazing poor lore for the race. No really - we know nothing about premitive goblin race or it's origins, we know nothing about why goblins posses their racial traits like love to explosions and engeneering at all, recklessness or greed (at least i thought they posses this traits).

is this sarcastic or serious? e.e
we can assume goblins evolved naturally on azeroth, like the trolls did.

In some sources it's stated that the goblins primitive ancestors came from the trolls explaining the resemblance
Goblins used to be Pygmies - they can be found in dungeons across Uldum. They evolved due to Kajamite exposure. But yeah there are in-game models of Pygmies.
Trolls = Humans, Goblins = AI in our time
In Warcraft goblin is cute, in Warhammer goblin is savage as Ork
Who's here after hearing about the goblin model update :D
But in BaF they said that zandalaris are completely against slavery, thus i think they didn't enslaved gobs, it was Rather another race of trolls, or your video it's wrong i dont know.
So true. I think that the goblins willingly sold themselves into slavery because they know what kajamite does to them.
Are the gnomes and goblins relatives? Because they are both from Mimiron. The 2 races fighting over technology and despising each other turn out to be relatives. Oh my.
+Bazzardox They are not really relatives. Mimiron actually created the mechagnomes while he only tested on the goblins to study kaja'mite.
