Harlequins are cool, I just can't see them getting another team in a world where Deathwatch and Tyranids and Grey Knights don't have a team, now they have been sort of downgraded by big GW. But never say never!

As you suggested in the video, dropping a team, that’s basically just one box of models, is a far cry from dropping a 2000pt army, or even a single unit in a 2000pt army.
Yeah, it's a very different thing - and yet the comparison is always made.

I also feel that, for the health of Kill Team as a competitive enterprise, factions have to be culled. Can’t say for sure, of course, but one gets the impression that a lot of the people bemoaning factions going to legends, may never play in organized events. That certainly, in a way, applied to me, when GW dropped the whole game of Fantasy. I got extremely upset, at the time... but really there was no reason we couldn’t have ignored GW and kept playing. Many people did.
Many many many people did for Warhammer Fantasy. It's just a question of which way the community goes.
29:25 AoS has far less ‘dead’ minis than 40K, so it’s easier for them to promote Legends.

I have been sitting on the old GSC combat patrol for months. Models are cool + they are compatible with not only 40k and Kill Team but Necromunda as well. If this is true then I’ll just sell the box retail price.
Yeah, if you have that whole box you might even be able to get more than you paid for it second hand.
45:32 Scions map really badly onto Vet Guard. They work much better as a replacement for Kasrkin (which they basically were when they were added to the lore).
I think GW is thinking about this in terms of "Fans of this range in40k will like this" rather then crunch. If you were thinking in terms of crunch you would say Brood Brothers where a replacement for Bloodied, for example .

No upgrade sprues could also be a bad thing… just look at the striking scorpions. I hope we get the war cry treatment instead. It’s weird they invest so much into war cry (presumably a less popular game/setting) with unique miniatures, while kill team has to do double duty with big 40k.
In a way it's not that weird - people are willing to buy Kill Team stuff now so why invest more resources into it? Warcry stuff isn't selling so needs to be made better somehow.

@@TabletopImpulse what does you make think Sewer? Is there sewage present, I missed? And man-holes locked by solid steal beams and an electronic opening mechanism? Most likely this is a fire ventilation duct or an emergency/logistics access port?
I have heard you mention valrak predict Kill team space hulk before... Is that not just "into the dark"? That is on a space hulk isn't it?
I can see how you would come to that conclusion, but he weirdly predicted this after the into the dark season had finished, and said there would be a set featuring "Terminators vs Genestealers in a Space Hulk" which got a lot of people very excited, and then never materialised.
What do you think about what Valrak once said (it was only once I think, and not really followed-up later) - that new edition is in some way similar to elites for previous edition?
Nah, I don't personally think we are going to see anything like elites where you are adding new stuff to existing Kill Teams.

Yeah, I think this all depends on if the scions have access to the full set of imperial special weapons or not tbh.
(my record of predicting GW is terrible) but I'd guess you are reading too much into the T'au deaths... It's T'au because it's Vespids, no?

I watched the trailer and I think the Minis will be cool enough for me to buy it. But I really don't want to get invested when we get a whole season, or heaven forbid, a whole edition of this nonsense.
I genuinely think that there is only going to be one box of flying stuff - a whole season of flying is silly but everyone seems obsessed with the idea.
I had more fun playing kill team in the first season when we had less teams. I’m personally ok with loosing teams 👋
It is a little easier when you can know all the teams in the game and have a fair idea of what you are playing into.
If they can’t support new teams then stop making new ones. The boxes aren’t cheap and people put a lot of effort into building and painting them.
I think it’s fair that team are put on the “bench” for a season or two, but asking us to throw them out is just treating the customers bad!
I understand Ryan, but the thing is if they stop making new teams, they stop making money. If they stop making money they have no reason to keep doing FAQ's and balance dataslates and events are Warhammer World and World Championships and Golden Tickets, and it becomes a dead game with no news to talk about and many folks will just drift off to play other things. They are sort of stuck in that they have to keep up the release cadence. This is the problem with all skirmish games, and why generally speaking massed battle games are easier to sell - because you can just add new options for your various existing armies.
