You ninja'd my idea! I was thinking about this while away from FLS and hoped you'd make the same discovery and post it :) You are a saint in the FM bass world.
He did a couple of live streams and said he would do some more Also loads of producers also use FL, I mean Joel Zimmerman (Deadmau5) actually helped develop the Fruity Squeeze plugin!
Amazing skills as usual man, but will you ever do a tutorial on that sireny synth you used in Antecoder? The one after the very first bass in the drop. I really like the sound of it.
Seamless. You mentioned that you "should" be labeling things in the mixer. When I found out about the hotkey "CTRL + L" while on an instrument or audio clip it will Auto assign the instrument/vst/clip to the NEXT free mixer channel AND it names the mixer channel for you so you can remember what it is. I know that it's not really a help to know a hotkey, but I will say that it helps out with organization and labeling.
Seamless, please do a complete vocodex bass tut. i mean like, the entire thing. Modulators, carriers, cause i have no idea how to do any of this but it sounds great.
I fecoded id attempt to apply some of your theory to my basses. However i managed to create a far more powerful high fm screecy bass to yours (ur still better than me). i managed to achieve this by setting the a and b parts, but turned the b part up to 16hz on the frequency part. then if u modulate both the a and b part, it makes the screech sound. adding a tad of prism and distortion sounds good too
this is so cool have u thought of trying it with a guitar, maybe with a distortion pedal or something as the modulator? maybe it could produce some cool sounds :D
How do you remove that extra space that Edison adds after recording? I cant figure it out and its annoying :( Also when I slice a sample in the sequencer I cant get an exact slice point that I want. I have it set to none on the snap. Great tuts keep it up!
I have a question, what kind of synth and wave shape combinations are used to create that sort of organ sound that you have from around 2:30 on? It's heard in a lot of dubstep and other EDM but I can never figure out how to make one... :/
Massive and Sytrus are completely different. They dont even make a sine wave the same! Massive uses wavetable synthesis and Sytrus uses FM synthesis. You cant compare them, I don't, none of my "role model producers" do either.
you are so fcking good at producing, best songs! You are so nice that you teach ppl your skills! thx from the bottom of my heart seamless, or steve or what your name is xD My name is Julius
im trying to go from making rap beats to shit like this! this is awesome I know a lot of it is in the automation but I really dont know where to even start lol
HOLY CRAP!! :/ Insanely epic mate!! Wish i could just watch you work on tracks in real time to learn the stuff you do!! and producers say FL is a joke... errrr WRONG bitches!
All of the harmonies and melodies go so perfectly, its beautiful.
Whenever he says "This track is very loud" my heart starts racing.
Supercool man.. keep it up.
Your righting is becoming better all the time. This is your best work yet. The righting sounds very industry standard. Pro work Seam.

This is my favorite of yours so far. I can't wait for the release, and making of.
wow the early version of connector
Slick move here Seamless. It really helps "deharsh" the metallic timbre of FM. Excellent :)
Oh my god that track is AMAZING! Can't wait for the release and the break down of it!
You singlehandedly converted me to an FL user for life (barring an Imageline major screwup). Kudos sir.
your channel is really affecting my grades man.. im studying all the school shit and this
i hope this will have a bigger effect on our life than grades usually have... otherwise ur kinda f*cked ;)
That drop chorus sounds so sick, dude! That's amazing! :-D
Loving the dancing mouse at 02:25
brilliant, great explanation as always
I think this is one my favorite basses that youve made like damn
24 videos later, finally i understand what you are talking about modulators and carriers and how to use vocodex! O.0

I'd do that but it dicks with the FL window size and messes with FRAPS when I do :\
WOOOO SEAMLESS! I reamixed your song Sometime (: Sounds pretty good.
nice man. subscribed. please keep these tuts coming.
really nice track !!! Im a beginner in fl studio and you are like a boss :)
Those Vocals And Growls u Work With.. Are Over The Top Bro... Can't u Make a Tutorial That That Shows How To Make Such Sounds From Scratch.... ?
Dude this track is hot. Thanks for the guide!
Seamless, please do a complete vocodex bass tut. i mean like, the entire thing. Modulators, carriers, cause i have no idea how to do any of this but it sounds great.
Dude you are insanely good!!
Nice quality, tutorial and music ;) (10/10)

Thats a very good point because when ever i try making something in massive it sounds crap
Using a saw as a carrier can make a pretty sick bass too.

Nice track, when will I be able to download/buy this? :D
could you do an entire walkthrough (from nothing to the finished song) of one of your songs? (Antecoder, Empire etc.)
no joke, this is an amazing song
really good seamless,,
Massive and Sytrus are completely different. They dont even make a sine wave the same! Massive uses wavetable synthesis and Sytrus uses FM synthesis. You cant compare them, I don't, none of my "role model producers" do either.
Seamsless can you put a video how to do the bass with harmor ? (the bass thats you modify with vocodex ? )
Seamless did you go to school for this or just trial and error, because your amazing bro..
maybe stupid question, but how do i scale in the mixer the diffrent channels down, mine are way bigger.
13:46 AAAAAAND Now you know how Wolfgang Gartner gets his vocal-y sounds in his songs.
WOW! Very nice one!
Not a stupid question at all!!! I wanna know that too and I'm pretty experienced with FL. Gna google it now I rate you do the same :)
That harmor patch... Great bass by itself in my opinion... but when you added the vocodex... OOOOoooOOOOOOooooooOOOHH...
Great track
Nice track!
thanks alot! worked :)
you are so fcking good at producing, best songs!
You are so nice that you teach ppl your skills! thx from the bottom of my heart seamless, or steve or what your name is xD My name is Julius
Which plugin for the lead (high pitched) synth
Whats the name of that song?
okay... Now how do you do the other bass that was in the drop?
You have any FL files that can be remixed?

Are you going to PAX?

i like how his paintbrush is dancing in place of his head
how long do you already work with fl?
i like the little mouse dances he does
Dancing pointer at 2:22. Lmao!
Ye i know i saw this but i ment a growl bass like kill paris-slap me candyland remix drop..
I may or may not keep that. This whole thing is subject to change, of course :]
im trying to go from making rap beats to shit like this! this is awesome I know a lot of it is in the automation but I really dont know where to even start lol
damn! very impressed!
7:41 and together they are ~~~Captain Planet~~~
I've noticed there's actually no low bass in the Vocodex itself. Do you have a sub running or what?
Why do you add an extra bar to the drop at 01:54? It sounds weird...
cant wait till you get big
keep it! doesn't sound weird
How did you get it that loud brah?
He Already Did, Mr Capital Letter Man!
That was just the bass played with high notes and tremelo'd via slide notes.
Dear Seamless
Dude... you're actually hilarious.
I can never get my vocodex to sound that clear. :/
HOLY CRAP!! :/ Insanely epic mate!! Wish i could just watch you work on tracks in real time to learn the stuff you do!!
and producers say FL is a joke... errrr WRONG bitches!
AWESOOOOME
flp please how can i get ?

HowToMakeElectronicMusic take all the credits xD
Bro, when can we buy this flp..This is fuckin glorious!! And this was even uploaded on my birthday :D
i think he will make an ''making of...'' video of this track
I wonder how long it took him to make that!
Check his earlier videos. He already did one
5:00 iyoo? IIIIYOOOOO! 0_o
2:24 anyone notice that his mouse on the sreen is dancing :3
Even our beloved ''howtomakeeusic'' guy comments on this... Must be extremely special then :P
i was wondering how to make my computer don't die when i use vocodex... when i use it all my computer froze :c
The best :)
It kinda shows that you can't use Massive for amazing growls. Seriously, try making a decent growl with Massive, it's hard to do.
nice mouse dancing
WWow i hva alot to learn tho..:D
